Yes to a Goliath.
Yes to No depending on the costume for Hawkeye.
I'd buy both if they were made, but neither are a priority for me to want to get made.
Apex is a silly character, but unfortunately he is silly in a bad way for me so I would pass.
Eon would be a yes because I had most of that Quasar run and I love me most of the cosmic part of the MCU.
Both would be cool to get. Oh, and I'm glad that they 3-5 threads of spam was finally deleted. lol
LOL, I still have that pictured 6" Evolution Spyke kind of hidden in the background of my X-Men display.
I'd buy both of these if they were made, but not necessarily a strong desire for either.
Both would be cool to get. 😀
To those that want them, best wishes. For me, pass on Spyke, Lady Spider, Eon, and Apex.
Big yes on Lady Spider. She's been one of my No Chance votes in the Fwoosh poll for some time now. Love that design.
I don't know Apex - is he kind of a He-Man parody? It feels like those panels have a lot of jokes to that effect.
Pass on Spyke. He should get a figure but I am not interested.
Lady Spider was a look I liked when she debuted, but over time I have lost interest in her as a character so she would be a pass.
Apex, Spyke, and Lady Spider would be a pass.
Eon wouldn't be much for articulation. But if he was done well, he'd be hard to pass up.
Spyke from X-Men : Evolution as a Marvel Legends figure is a must, make it so, Hasbro.
I actively dislike Oya as a character and her being shoehorned into the X-Men when there's a perfectly good Iceman they could be using. Duplicate power characters getting stuck on the team where similar powers already exist, or creating a "new" character that just does what the old character did "but better," is derivative and uninspired. Having new and improved "Peanut Butter and Jelly" Iceman / Sunfire is boring.
I mean duplicative and/or derivative power sets are standard procedure in comic books. Why introduce X-23/Daken/Honey Badger when we already have a wolverine? Why do we need a Miles Morales when we have a perfectly good Spider-Man? Why do we need a single other telepath when we have Xavier AND Jean? Stupid Psylocke - who needs her?
Maybe, just maybe Iceman comes with a ton of baggage as a character that the writer doesn't want to deal with or explore. He's insecure because he's the youngest, he's insecure because he's not as much of a ladies man as Warren, he's insecure because he can't control his powers, oh guess what all that insecurity is because he's been in the closet the whole time. And I'm not even saying those stories weren't worth doing but when you are working with a character with SIXTY years of story baggage it's a lot to have to work around.
I don't begrudge a writer at all for wanting to work with a new character so there is new ground to cover. Overlapping power sets are par for the course in comic books and at least with Oya her ice powers aren't because she is secretly related to Bobby (how worn out is that trope... their powers are similar, maybe they're related...) and, her powers aren't the same as Iceman anyway - because she has fire and ice abilities and has to balance them to make them work.
I'm sure there's a writer somewhere that will want to explore new stories with Iceman for you.
Or, maybe just go back an re-read the 40.. 30? years of X-Men you care about and let others enjoy new things...
I'll never understand why you respond to folks opinions and try to tell them they're wrong. People are entitled to their tastes. Xavier, Jean and Psylocke don't have the same power sets and have their own unique histories and backgrounds and actual compelling stories surrounding them as characters.
Your ability to strawman other people's opinions and extrapolate it out into something they didn't say genuinely sets you apart. I genuinely don't understand your need to respond to opinion-based questions; "would you personally like this character as a figure," and bloviate and try to debate it; much less make prescriptions on what others should do. Being aggressive to folks whose opinions you don't share and defaulting back on the same tired trope of "go read your old comics," comes across as though you can't handle difference of opinion well in your world. You may not begrudge writers certain liberties, but you certainly begrudge others their ability to state that they simply don't like a character. It really comes across as presumptuous and sanctimonious. Maybe you should sit and spend time with your own opinions instead of trying to correct others for having one about derivative characters, a complaint that isn't unreasonable.
You really come across as some sort of aspiring scold most of the time. I don't understand the aggression to other people's opinions on an opinion based thread.
Pass on Two-Gun kid personally, not a need for my collection.
I think I’ll pass today. Nothing necessary for my collection.
