Day #1122 - Saturday Spotlight on Thor

Simonson Thor is Archive Day #300.

I usually try to arrange the photos in chronological order. Since I don't know the order and there's been so many suits, today is a big mish-mash and totally jumbled.

Some pictures may be duplicate suits. Just enjoy the double dip 😎.

We'll start with the Thor suits I want to see first in ML form, then let the free-for-all begin...

Just a note.  This is Cecil McAdam, the Thor of 2099:

I wouldn’t object to seeing him made as 2099 needs more love.

As to the rest, sure any different look for Thor that Hasbro wants to give us, is fine.  Those first few images are preferred though.

Thor is one of the rare characters where I really do like some of the modern versions. Particularly the Esad Ribic Thor. I might would want that 3rd Thor; not sure; but I do need 2 Thors to consider him complete. I def would like a pinless redo of the classic Kirby / Silver / Bronze age Thor to replace my 80th on the Avengers shelf and a blue/gold Simonson Thor for my Asgard shelf.  I am totally fine keeping my 80th Thor as my mainline universe Thor. He holds up. If they update him I'm not in for any of that arm holes so big they go to his beltline nonsense of the late 80s / 90s. Everytime I see him drawn like that I keep thinking of Scarlet Witch or the other Avengers standing next to him while he swings his hammer saying "put on a shirt or at least some deodorant. The odor of the drinking hall; uffff"

My answer is simple:

YES. TO EVERY VERSION.

I'd buy them all. And any and every other Asgardian and Thor-related character they'd care to make.

Hehe - yours was the response I was waiting for. How did I do on my photo gathering? Did I miss any prominent costumes?

Simonson armored Thor is my number 1 Thor want.  Open to most variations though, I'll even take that hideous Deodato one

You did good. The only addition I'd offer (even though it's technically a different character) is Dargo Ktor. He's another of my big wants.

@beamish Just yes to all Thors!!

I completely forgot about Thorcules and Hercuthor.   That should be a two pack!!  C'mon ML team.

I think one of the big ones you missed, at least for me.   (And technically not Thor per se) is Dargo Ktor the alternate future Thor.   That is one of my favourite looks and I would love a figure of him.

I honestly hope to never have to buy another Thor, but I know that I inevitably will. Ultimate Thor, Thor 2099 and Zombie Thor would probably all be purchases for me.

I'd much rather have some supporting cast with Kurse and the Warriors Three at the top of the list.

Classic Thor (updated pinless with some way to get better range of motion out of his hair and cape)

Simonson armored look is first, then it's largely a tie thereafter. I do want them all though.

I would prefer to get more of Thor's supporting characters first. 

But I would purchase the following versions of Thor:

1.  80s Simonson Armored Thor.  This would be my biggest want for a new Thor.

2.  A Maximum pinless classic Thor with multiple heads, hands and hammers

3.  A redo of Coipel Return of Thor

Simonson’s Battle Armor Thor, and the original 6’ 6” Frog of Thunder, are my two must-haves!
