Wow, another double pass day. I think that's three in a row for me so far? I have Cassie in her MC2 Stinger outfit already, and I like that look for her. No need for another version.

And just putting it out there, while I don't dislike the Young Avengers generally, I just don't feel a need for them. In my mind they're of that post-Disassembled period that I hate. So they tend to suffer because of that.

I'd take a new figure of Billy in his Asgardian getup, mainly because I can fold that into my Asgardian/Thor display with whatever headcanon* I want. But I don't need him as Wiccan or any of his teammates.

*- Not that anyone necessarily cares, but I have two of the original Asgardian figure so they can be the twins Kevin and Mick who were orphaned in Thor (v1) #371-372 when Thor fought the Zaniac. They were then adopted and raised by Volstagg since they had no other family and Thor felt responsible for their Mother's death.

Yes to Slug. No to Stature

I am utterly baffled by this position.    Yes to a giant useless blob in a suit?    No to the growing girl who is an active and dynamic member of the Avengers?    Wild

I mean, I can explain myself if I need to. I'm a huge Captain America fan, particularly the Gruenwald run. Slug appeared in this run. I stopped reading comics regularly around 2005, so characters from that time and after do not appeal to my nostalgia, which is my primary driver when deciding which figures to purchase. Hope this helps your bewilderment.

You're allowed to like what you like and it's all good.   I just don't see how an action figure of Slug makes any kind of sense.     There is no "action" to that character whatsoever.    But want what you want.     I mean - I'm the hypocrite that want's a giant floating space alien head in a tank for my Kree display, so I shouldn't be over here in my glass house with a stone in my hand.

While I remember Slug he was never a character that I was particularly interested in so pass.

Stature is another Young Avengers so I would say make her, but I probably would pass.

Slug… this would a large lump of plastic with about 5 pts of articulation tops.  So he’d be a pass for me.

Stature isn’t one I’m eager for, but I’ve got no problem with her being made.  Personally, I’d prefer the younger Cassie, from the earlier days, where she was Scott’s daughter, and not another mask.  She was a big part of Scott’s motivation, and important to his character.

Double pass for me today.

Not collecting Young Avengers.

If I could get a ML figure with limited to no articulation, I would want the Kree Supreme Intelligence over anything else.

I'd probably buy both, but of the two I'd rather have Slug.

All of this right here.

Yes to Hulking from Young Avengers and Empyre.

Yes to Stature! Her Stinget figure is very cool, but I’d buy a pinless redo.

Ha, Slug. That'd be hilarious. If his figure was directly based off of this art, I wouldn't not get him.

Absolutely yes on Stature. Wouldn’t mind if it’s the size of the movie BAF.

Day 1004 - Black Death, plus Midnight Sun (Archive Day #312)

I know both Black Deaths are both one-offs, but they look cool.

Hank Walden (red costume is his Greenwich Guardian suit)

Ivan Kivelki

I mean -  the first Black Death design - the one that's actually black - is cool looking and I would accept that as a figure regardless of having not read the appearance or knowing what his deal is.   The red costume doesn't make much sense with the name and looks more "generic costume supe" so I'd be less inclined.   The third look is overdesigned junk and again, doesn't make much sense with the name.   If your name is BLACK Death - go with the theme and have a little more, y'know black in the costume.

Midnight Sun would be a definite buy.  It's a great look.  A fun character whether going buy just Midnight as he did at first or adding Sun to the name as he did when he went more cosmic as a threat.   I prefer the more black suit, purple cape look of the earlier appearances to the purple suit, grey cape of the later depictions though.
