Day #1000!!!! Who knew it would last this long? I certainly didn't.

Thank you to everyone who has ever participated in this thread. It's certainly been a labor of love, and sometime of frustration when I can't find the pictures I want, the page crashes right before I post, or I am delayed or just can't post. I was thrilled at SDCC this year when Dan, Dwight, Ryan and other Dan indicated they were aware of this thread.

Special shout out to @detectivehoag for keeping this thread going during my hiatus last year.

I usually have some clever tie-in to a numerical celebration, but I was stumped at this one. So, I decided to do what I know best to celebrate - classic Avengers! Classic as in pre-Bendis. I love all areas of Marvel, but I'm an Avengers guy first and foremost. So many classic Avengers are needed, "official" and honorary, so here they all are.

I'm only including one costume per code name, like with Wonder Man, and it might be the costume I prefer to see next. Please feel free to add the costume you prefer! I'm also including the classic version of a costume if we haven't gotten it yet. Also, I know Wonder Man didn't become a member "officially" until the 1980s, but I put him in the 1960s because it felt better to do so.

I read on a YouTube video comment section that somebody "overheard" one of the guys say, I think it was Dan, something like they are taking a break from Avengers waves because of poor Avengers 60th sales. Hopefully that isn't the case because and just a nasty rumor. There are still so many classic and modern Avengers and their adversaries to still make. So Dan, Dwight, Ryan and other Dan - if you're reading this - KEEP THEM COMING!

All of these classic Avengers have been featured before, so here we go again!

Here's to 1000 days. Maybe 1000 more!

1960s

Pym Goliath - update, made larger

Wasp - 1960's costume (I'll do one Wasp costume per decade)

Wonder Man

Swordsman

Hercules - update

Barton Goliath

Yellowjacket - update

Rick Jones

Edwin Jarvis

1970s

Mantis

Perez Beast

Moondragon - non-thong version

Two-Gun Kid

Ms. Marvel

Falcon - update

Whizzer

Guardians of the Galaxy - Korvac Saga era costumes

Wasp - 1970's costume

1980s

Starfox

Thing - WCA singlet

Dr. Druid

Firebird

Demolition Man

Gilgamesh

Jim Hammond Human Torch

Marrina

Yellowjacket (Rita Demara)

Wasp - 1980s costume

1990s

Sersi

Stingray

Living Lightning

Swordsman (Javert)

Magdalene

Deathcry

Masque

2000s

Triathlon

Silverclaw

Jack of Hearts

Lionheart

Wasp - 2000s costume

Special shout out to the following, who all should have been Avengers back in the day, in my humble opinion:

Red Wolf

Goliath

Shroud

First up, congrats @beamish .  This thread(s) is one of the 7 Wonders of the Digital World.  Day in, day out fun.

I want each and every one of your picks!  I'll add a few costume variations that I am personally hoping for:

Wonder Man with mullet and rocket belt (non-mullet head add-in appreciated).

I'll take the figures you suggested easily, @Beamish. Great choices. And basically I'm in for any Avenger up to and including Jack of Hearts.

Notable costume differences for me would be Wasp in Perez asymmetrical blue-and-white, Wonder Man in Perez red-green-and-yellow, and Triathlon in his second costume with the black pants.

You know, “Yes” just doesn’t quite cut it.  “Absol-freakin’-lutley!”  Is much closer.

Give me!  Give me!  All of them.
Would also like the Avengers Support Staff.

Seems like Haywire should be included.  Like Lionheart, he hung out with the Avengers for a while.  I’ll also add the Great Lakes Avengers, although they had their own entry.

Totally agree about Haywire. He should have been made an honorary member at the very least since he died a hero during an Avengers mission.

I'd take Rama Tut, Scarlet Centurion, and Immortus.  Wouldn't get mad if they redid Iron Lad either, the Toybiz one is kind of bizarrely proportioned and articulated looking back at it

Yes to every character in Beamish’s list! Love the Avengers!

Speaking of Wonder Man, I want so many of his costumes. Both first and second appearance as well as a full purple ionic energy version.

First off,  1,000 is an amazing, fantastic, incredible, uncanny, and mighty accomplishment!  Well done Beamish!  While I don't want every character, I absolutely enjoy coming to this thread each and everyday.  Thank you for all you do to keep my favorite thread on the Fwoosh great.

After Spider-man and the Fantastic Four, the Avengers have always been one of my favorite corners of the Marvel Universe.  I would love every single Avenger shown through the 80's.  Don't know many of the 90's so I'll just highlight Jack of Hearts and label the rest as maybe.

Congrats on batting 1000 Beamish! Thanks for keeping this going through multiple site crashes and resets. I hope you know how loved and appreciated this thread is, and all of the work you put into it.

As for today's choice, the simple answer is: YES!!! All of them. Every member, every associate, every costume. Yes, even Hawkeye's hideous early 70s skirt look. Gimme ALL of it please!

HUGE accomplishment getting this thread to 1,000, Beamish! Seriously appreciate you keeping this going so long - you're definitely the lifeblood of the Fwoosh these days.

The classic Avengers list you posted is far and away my favorite post you've ever done. Finishing out every member of the pre-Disassembled Avengers is my #1 Marvel Legends goal, and I won't be satisfied until every single character gets made. Perfect 1,000th post, no notes whatsoever!

Happy Millennium, Beamish!

I’ll take all those Avengers. Except maybe Jim Hammond Torch. I have a pretty good kitbash of him using MS parts.

I'm surprised how much I specifically want the “2000s” selections - thought I’d be more partial to the 70s or 80s (although Rick Jones, Jarvis, and Two Gun Kid are at the top of my list).

@detectivehoag Thanks for the reading list. Nothing better than learning about a character because of their toy. Real or potential.

Yes to Rama Tut, Immortus, Scarlet Centurion and pretty much all of the Avengers except Rick Jones, Hammond Torch (not sure how it would differentiate from some of the HT figs we already have) and the few from the mid 90's era.
