Day #914 - Dr. Karl Malus, plus Madcap (Archive Day #236)

I should state that until I pulled his shoebox card this morning and went down the Malus rabbit hole, I had no idea he was associated with being Superior Carnage. So any Spidey aficionados out there, please please please fix any wrong picures I posted.

Madcap is one of the reasons I hope there are some comic-related characters released to coincide with Deadpool 3, well Madcap and Stingray...

Big yes for Madcap.     I would love to get a full figure of that zany looking character,  the head they gave me before doesn't cut it

As for Dr. Malus -  I mean - the generic white outfit with the bowl cut and glasses looks a little too much like a skinny Otto Octavius for me to need one.     And I have no idea what a Superior Carnage is - but its different enough and interesting enough and symbiote adjacent enough that it could get made and if it does I'll pick it up.

Not familiar with Superior Carnage, but that’s a great look. I’d get a figure.

Yes to Mad Cap!

Yes to both, classic versions/costumes for them. Madcap is my #1 most wanted character. <3

Fully in for both characters if they're done in their classic/original looks. No desire for modern interpretations.

Yes to Carrion, and I'll buy pretty much anyone from the Captain America universe, so yes to Malus and Madcap!

No desire for modern interpretations.

This would be my auto-signature if we had those.

@panthercult

I actually picked up an ultimate Doc Ock back when it was released, for that reason.  The skinny build, goggles and bowl cut just said Malus to me.  I slapped on the old ‘lab coat’ that came with Mr Fantastic from the old box set, and he’s my stand in for Dr. Malus.  I tend to like it better than the comic designs, and the look is suits the purpose just fine.  I’d consider an official one, depending on actual execution of the character, but I don’t think Hasbro would put much effort into him.  Although, if they did the ‘scrubs’ look, maybe he could be modified into a Dr Decibel….

I would love a complete Madcap in his classic look.  Instant buy if they didn’t Sam him up.

Madcap and Jack of Hearts in a "super hard to pull off paint" wave.  Maybe throw in Captain Ultra.

I like this look for Malus where it's like half lab coat-half sorcerer

Also the partially transformed Superior Carnage more than the full version

Absolute yes on Madcap as well

Not really big on Dr. Malus, and I kind of remember the Superior Carnage storyline.   Pass for me.

Madcap is a big ol' yes.  That outfit shouldn't work, but for some reason it does.

HUGE YES for Madcap!   I cobbled together something with the head they gave us, but I want an official classic look.

Pass on Dr. Malus in all forms.

I get what your saying, but it’s not like there isn’t reuse potential in a thin, toned buck like that:

Carrion

Manslaughter

Nightmare (sometimes drawn that way)

Needle

Maelstrom (sometimes drawn that way)

Nocturne (vampiric)

Bloodscream

Necron

Tabula Rasa

..for example.  Note that none of these characters have been produced yet.  Hasbro could get some mileage out a buck like that.

And Headlok! Now that we have that big WCA roster they need some of their villains.

And yes to classic Malus and Madcap.

@renfield75 Another good example.  I just quickly put that list together off the top of my head.  I knew there were others, but didn’t want to rummage through the Handbook to find them.  Thanks.
I thought about Scarecrow and Remnant, but they wear baggy clothes over their frames, and would require different tooling.
See, Hasbro?   Plenty of characters that could use that kind of buck.  So, no excuses.
