It seems we’ve had a couple cracks at the Destroyer before.  One that I’m certain of.  I’m not opposed to it being revisited, but it’s not pressing for me, personally.

Edit:  I didn’t catch that this was the MCU specific version.  That would be a pass for me.  I’m not really a movie collector.

Mephista… not a very strong attachment to this character.  She’d probably be a pass for me, but I hope those that want her can get her.

Obviously fair - but can you explain.   What specific changes would you need made to warrant a purchase?

All new sculpt. The comic figure, to my eye, is chubbier while the movie one is more lean.

Here's a shot of the movie:

Destroyer - Marvel Cinematic Universe Guide - IGN

And the comic figure:

Marvel Legends Avengers 60th Anniversary - Thor vs. Marvel\'s Destroye – Toynado

More muscle definition as well. A new head, feet, and like you said the shoulders. The neck and shoulder area is different as well. Obviously the MCU one is based on it, so there are a lot of similarities, but I really prefer the MCU version. The two definitely worked some different muscle groups, heh.

I totally get if they don't look all that different to others though. Keep in mind I'm one of those who can look at a Boba Fett costume and tell you in a few seconds which of the original six LFL produced before Empire Strikes Back I am looking at. It's actually kinda annoying to be detail oriented in this way.

I'd be in for a movie Destroyer (shocking, I know). It's just a badass design and can slot into a comic display easily enough. Plus, one can never have too many relentless engines of godly destruction in one's display.

Pass on Mephista. I'm not familiar enough with the character to have any connection to her. And I'd MUCH rather have a classic Satana figure.

Yeah -  those differences are a level of detail that is too meaningless to matter to me at this scale.   These guys mostly stand on a shelf in a display with other figures where those somewhat subtle differences aren't that glaring to my eye.

Given the fact that it has been 13 years since that Thor film came out and Hasbro hasn't done the MCU version of the Destroyer yet, I'm not confident they would invest the money in an all new sculpt to deliver one now.    If the existing version isn't good enough for you, your display will probably remain Destroyerless.

Pass on Mephista.

Might pick up a MCU Destroyer on sale.  He has a cool design.

I have a vague memory of Mephista in the latter look, so I'd probably get her, but agreed we need Mephisto as well.  2-Pack?

Mephista is someone I'd have to read up on if they announced a figure, but I'd do it happily. If they did make her before Mephisto (unlikely) it would only be a good sign that he was on the way.

Although I would buy an MCU Destroyer Armor (please give it an opening visor and blast effect!), I have to plug the comic Destroyer Armor. Comic Destroyer is one of the coolest figures ever in my opinion. Really nice range of motion for a giant suit of armor. The poseability is great. And it’s so affordable, especially at the sale prices these days. If you are a fan of the Destroyer at all, I’d recommend the comic figure.

I would buy every version of the Destroyer, including MCU, Iron Man’s Thorbuster Armor, King Killmonger in his red Destroyer Armor, and Doom in his personal Destroyer Armor from Dark Reign.

OK... I was unaware of the King Killmonger in Destroyer armor as a thing and I'm going to have to buy another figure now to repaint in metallic red.    Thanks akatsuki for costing me money  😀

@panthercult It’s a cool look and concept, right?! If Killmonger became king of Wakanda, he’d conquer Asgard and use the Destroyer Armor as his personal suit. Love that concept. I’m hoping Hasbro makes it since it would be easy reuse of the Destroyer mold.

Honestly at first, even though Beamish had MCU right there, I went to the Invaders Destroyer in my mind because we already had a new Asgardian Destroyer.  I'm still waiting for an Invaders set and I would love most any iteration of Destroyer from that era.

Anyway, MCU Destroyer isn't really different enough for me to want one, and the newest version is pretty damn awesome already.  I'm totally with you though for Thorbuster and King Killmonger armours.  Both of those were great takes on the Destroyer armour.

Mephista in the white dress/robe with the black hair, horns and black wings would be an awesome looking figure.  Easy buy for me.   However as others have said Mephisto needs to be done first otherwise there will be a riot!!!
