Classic Mantis, human appearance, would be awesome. If executed well, fans would lose it over the figure. So, that’s what I want too.
Punisher 2999 would also be a yes. Even though he’s not my favorite 2099 character, he was a founder of that line. I’d love to see Hasbro give 2099 an AoA treatment, and get a couple dedicated waves. There’s certainly enough characters with sharp designs, so make it happen Hasbro.
Green skin with the Guardians uniform would be my preference. But then they’d also need to redo the whole box set from some years back too.
I'd take classic Mantis but my preferred version would be the Annihilation look that matches the Entertainment Earth GOTG Box Set.
I want both, especially classic Mantis. 😀
Punisher 2099 is a ridiculous costume. I'd buy it.
Classic non-green skin Mantis is my first look, but the truth is the Annihilation look is very close behind. If they make the GotG costume first I really can't be mad about it. But, they really should just make a classic Mantis/Swordsman 2-pack, then put GotG Mantis and Moondragon (plus Phyla?) in a set together.
Classic Mantis, human skin tone is my first choice. But I also like her Crossing-era look a lot as well (seventh picture). But that might run into the “underboob” wall again.
Punisher 2099 would be a pickup, and I hate the Punisher in any way, shape, or form. But he’s a 2099 founder, and I always dug that initiative.
For Punisher 2099 - he was definitely among my least favorite parts of 2099 (Ravage probably was lamer from a design standpoint) but I have a soft spot for the whole 2099 experiment and I would be happy for Marvel Legends to spend some time there - and would pick up a Punisher 2099 figure as part of that effort.
I am a huge yes for Mantis. I vastly prefer a classic look for her - even if we end up with a solid skirt instead of the grass skirt style - but the costume from that Avengers 114 cover would be great and not overly risque. A 2-pack of that figure with a nice classic Swordsman would be so perfect.
I understand those that would like a more Annihilation Era Mantis to match the previous Box Set release that came out - but I'd be annoyed if that was the only comic Mantis we got. I wouldn't be mad if they did that one as well as a classic version though. I can't say I'm thrilled with the look of those last two Mantis images though that make her look like a pouty manic pixie girl or whatever. That looks dumb and terrible.
...if they go traditional, would you prefer human skin tone or plant green skin tone?
Definitely want this version:
I love the Mantis in the second picture. That's the one I want with a classic Swordsman like he's pictured in Avengers #114. That would be a perfect 2 pack. Instant purchase if they pull it off.
Pass on Punisher 2099.
The Mantis conundrum is easily solved. Release her in one of her classic looks with human skin colour and make her colour change ala Zartan. BANG!!!! Problem solved. Now you can have Mantis in either form.
Punisher 2099 is a big yes. I was never a huge fan of the character at the beginning, but I have come to appreciate him more over the years. And the costume has always been one I have been fond of as well.
I have to say - I am unfamiliar with the Daughter of Mephisto as an actual recurring character in the books. I would be apoplectic if the Legends team saw fit to release Mephista before her far more important and far more well known father as a figure... so that's probably exactly what they'll decide to do. I can't deny that a decent female demon character would look nice on the shelf and some of those - images 4, 5 and 6 - would make a very nice figure. I'm sure I would buy it if they made it. Just give us daddy first, please.
As for the MCU Destroyer - is it really different enough from the comic version of the figure to warrant a different release? I guess you'd have to take off the shoulder pads and continue the tiny spikes and include an alternate "open face plate" head... but otherwise I think this is an instance where the movie version and the comic version are pretty close to the same.

For me, the answer is yes. otherwise I'd have the comic figure right now.

Obviously fair - but can you explain. What specific changes would you need made to warrant a purchase?
