Aron isn’t a big want if mine, so I’d pass on him.
Devil-slayer, on the other hand, is a big want of mine. He’d be another much needed classic Defender. A lot of reuse could go into him too.
Yes to Martinex, Graduation Beast, X-Factor Beast, New X-Men and Astonishing Beast, All New All Different Beast. Gotta pass on just about everything else I missed in those last few days.
OK…. Big catch up after taking a long weekend.
664 - Lord Templar:
I honestly don’t remember this character… the body looks vaguely High Evolutionary with a different chest armor and a different head and some arm cape thingies…. But I don’t think this is a figure Ineed or want since I can’t even remember the story he’s from.
Archive 20 - Big Wheel:
I was a thumbs down the first time around and I have to say I’m still thumbs down. I always thought the gimmick was super goofy and there’s not space for him in my display, so it’s a pass for me.
665 - Femizons
OK - essentially all of the ones I’m interested in having figures of have already had their own separate entries previously… and wholly heck that’s a long list of female morts that still needed mention. Of these newly listed I’d probably be in for a couple, either because I have a soft spot for their comic appearance or they just look cool… so the ones I’d buy:
Chimera – just looks cool; Pink Pearl – huge soft spot for Alpha Flight, so she’s in – also could be re-used for Big Bertha from the GLA; Superia - it’s a solid costume look; Ferocia - I mean, she could be almost entirely a repaint of Feral, so two for one, baby; Poundcakes - I just always appreciated the name and her whole female bruiser thing. S
So I guess that’s actually a lot of them, 😀
666 - Beast alternate looks
Hank McCoy has long been my second favorite Marvel character. I love him so much and it’s part of the reason I haven’t loved recent X-Men stories because I don’t love what they’ve done with poor Hank.
I’d frankly take most or all of the hairless costume looks; we need a solid Perez Avengers beast to go with classic Wonder Man; But all of the pictured looks would work for me - aside from the MCU stuff since not only do I not buy MCU figures anymore, but Fox X-Men Beast was just fail after fail.
Archive 21 - Martinex:
So much yes. I love the original Guardians of the Galaxy and this year’s Yondu figure just makes me want Martinex and Charlie 27 that much more. Gimme, gimme, gimme!
667 - Aron the Rogue Watcher:
It’s a fun concept, but they haven’t even done Uatu yet. If they did finally make a real comic universe Uatu and then wanted to get some re-use by releasing this guy…. I don’t know. He’d be expensive and he’s just not that important… but maybe.
Archive 22 - Devil Slayer
Huge yes from me on this one. I loved the Defenders book and the era with Devil Slayer clomping around were some of my favorite issues. So big yes to that guy.
Yes to Devil Slayer!
Man... of all the growing and oversized characters I want figures of - and that list is long - this guy simply isn't on it. I was one of the five or so fans of that New Defenders book and I don't really remember Gargantua.
Ikaris on the other hand is an absolute necessity. I believe he was on that rumor list that was circulating so maybe a comic version is coming. I probably don't need Legends to go too deep on comic Eternals but I am going to need Ikaris, green costumed Sersi, Thena and Gilgamesh please.
Yes to both
Guargantua would be a pass. There''s other giants I'd much rather have over him.
Ikaris, of course, is a HUGE yes, as are all comic Kirby versions of the Eternals. So I'm really hoping that rumored 2024 list is true since he's on it.
Yes to Ikaris and some other Kirby Eternals.
Absolute yes to classic Kirby Ikaris. Pass on Gargantua unless it was a 9 inch blue/orange BAF, in which case, I would build him.
Pass on Gargantua
Yes to a classic Kirby Ikaris
Yes to Ikaris!
No on Gargantua - want the Giants to be standouts on the shelf so I'd reserve taller than 12 inch figures for Atlas, Bill Foster, Living Monolith etc.
Ikaris is of course a yes - the most necessary Eternal after Sersi. Plus he's a rare chance for Hasbro to get to use some Iron Man parts for a non-Iron Man
Quick catch up:
Aron The Watcher - Don't really care about any of the other Watchers, but his look is cool enough that if they did one as a repaint of Uatu I would probably go in for one.
Devil Slayer - I have no recollection of this guy at all. The costume seems ok, but not someone I'm looking for in my collection.
Gargantua - Another character I don't recall....ever. His last look with the Human Torch is probably the best toy version to go with if making a figure, but again don't know him and there are other large figures I would want before him.
Comic Ikaris - Of course. He is one of the best looking Eternals from the comics. He is someone I would pick up for sure. Along with a select few others.
