Anyone think Blob will ever be cheaper than the $67 Amazon is charging?
Original MSRP was $60, and people waited for it to fall. They failed. That experience should reveal my answer which is no, it probably won't be cheaper so you should get it now before Amazon's supply runs out.
Note that it is only one third-party seller who's even supplying them via Amazon at $67, and the next cheapest retailer besides them has him priced at $86. So as soon as that seller runs out the price will jump to at least $86. None of them are trying to match that $67 seller because they probably know they can just wait his supply out.
Nah, that price was stupid to begin with and charging more for it is a non-starter. I’m either waiting for a much lower price or better head sculpts.
Pulled the trigger on Blob, but I’ll be salty about the price later. Unfortunately he’s a requirement for the x villains shelf. Between the two-packs and the inflated prices, it’s been kind of a pain to get the Brotherhood.
Except Avalanche.
They will probably announce a multi-pack once I get them all.
Crystal and Lockjaw down to 54.94 on Amazon! That’s the lowest so far!

I'm showing a 20% off coupon on top of that as well. Not sure if it's a targeted deal or what, but that's pretty solid - brings the price down to $44 and change before tax.
The Franklin/Val set is also $22.99 on Amazon right now. That's one I've put off buying all year but finally decided to jump at that price.
Strange, the coupon wasn't showing up whenever I looked, but I did get a 20% coupon on a Transformers 2pk I've been eyeing, with which I finally pulled the trigger. Crystal/Lockjaw is already creeping back up slowly, now at around 55 and change.Crystal and Lockjaw down to 54.94 on Amazon! That’s the lowest so far!

No Crystal/Lockjaw coupon for me. 😪
I know people complain about the original retail price for Blob at $60 - hell, I complained as well. But I think Hasbro priced it that high for two reasons - one, that was when they were pushing price boundaries anyway to see what they could get away with - and two Blob is extremely popular, arguably essential, X-Men villain for the collection. It sold out quickly in the initial release at the $60 price point. They went back and made more of him and there was a second wave of release of the figure, again at the $60 price and he again sold briskly. Unlike with other Marvel Legends there is no glut of overstock that will force them to drop to a clearance price.
Demand is largely satiated at this point which is why he's still findable at that $67 price at all - after the sell out of the first run the price climbed pretty high and stayed there until more became available - but there is no glut of product forcing the priced to be slashed. So waiting for a good sale price on Blob significantly lower than the $60 release price probably means finding one loose on Ebay and timing things right.
I do wonder if they'll do a new version. If they were going to my preference would be for a bare torso, trunks only version to match his silver age look, but they'd probably go more modern instead. I doubt they would just release the same outfit again, but who knows.
If there's another one released they'd likely want to leverage most of the existing tooling, so the naked torso might be out for that reason. The easiest thing to do would be to repaint the costume black with a yellow "FF" on the chest for his Freedom Force costume. Alternately they could do a jacket overlay and mustached head for this look:

Fred Dukes: porn Star.
Strange/Wong set down to 40.23. That's the lowest I've seen that one at too.
Hidden secrets of the Marvel Universe. The love child of Freddy Mercury and Lockjaw.
Well damn, I guess I shouldn't have bought Lockjaw/Crystal at full price. All these markdowns really are a lesson to maybe not pay full price for ML multipacks.
See, I remain entirely torn on that subject. On the one hand - my budget would appreciate paying a few dollars less. On the other hand - I really want Hasbro to do more sets like the Lockjaw and Crystal set - so I definitely lean toward paying full price to support the kind of product I want in the line. If everyone waits for discount prices on certain kinds of products or characters - eventually those types of products and characters get de-prioritized over things that people do buy at full price.
You vote with your wallet, so if you wait for clearance to buy, your vote is that you don't want them to make more like that in the future. Or at least that you don't care if they make more like that in the future.
Among the 75% Christmas markdowns at Walmart today I noticed most of the Nacelle stuff was marked down as well.
Not sure on Biker Mice but the Sectaurs and Robo Force figures were $15 and the little Garloo was $5 for those interested.
I think $15 is still too much for the Sectaurs but I grabbed a Garloo and Wrecker from Robo Force. It took about 3 minutes for me to realize that $15 was also too much for Wrecker and now he's back in the box with the receipt to head back to Walmart. He's got giant feet with suction cups on the bottom and I still had trouble getting him to stand on his own. He was really loose and the back attachments were fairly useless, added to his inability to stand and seemed like they were going to break at the post at any moment. Just seemed very cheaply made and put together, overall.

I often do that as well. I don't feel as strongly about that with Lockjaw because I'm still pissed his knees don't bend. 🤨
A better example is Odin. I had no doubt he would go on sale just as all previous Odin figures have, but he's so good I felt compelled to just buy him up front anyway. I feel fine about supporting a figure that's great, and getting it right at release instead of having to wait a few months or years is a nice bonus.
