Is Brickseek now a fully-subscription site? Tried to look these up but it seems so.

Target is completely screwed up. They used to release enforced clearance from HQ with a deadline to get it done, that was a long time ago. It would generally happen in a week.

Now each store manager gets permission to clearance, but the mgr decides if they want to mark down. They made this change because Wal-mart showed it worked.

Target's problem is the buyers aren't managing the departments. And worse, the company refuses to let any buyer stay in one department for more than a year or two, then they get moved to another category (good at toys? sales increased under your tenure? Guess, what? You're going to housewares!).

I have never gotten an answer as to why this hasn't changed in 30+ years, but they are adamant. They've lost good buyers because of it (less likely now, as there fewer places to move to).

Things were so much better when my Grandma was the Toy department manager at Bradlees.

Hilarious!  I've witnessed actual physical fights with those crazy dudes over those little cars, so nuts.

Congrats on the scores!  I'm gonna hit a Target or two today and try for the hulk and skrull packs.  I did score the FA Iron Man yesterday for around $15, so that was pretty cool!

Took a long lunch and hit up 4 Targets within a 30-mile radius. Three out of four had everything marked down as has been reported.

One of the three didn't have a single Marvel Legend on the shelf. No two-packs, no singles, nothing. I spent a good 10 minutes searching around the store and didn't see them anywhere else. It was weird. But that was the only store that had GI Joe to speak of — Shipwreck and Scrap-Iron at 50% off. 

Was able to grab all the MLs I was after — FA Iron Man, Thor 2-pack and Quantumania Kang.

Judging by what I saw today, I'm gonna gamble that I'll be able to get Rose, Egghead, QM Ant-Man and Wasp at 70% off.

Like I said, GI Joe stuff was already scarce (I was really hoping to luck into a Copperhead) and I only saw Kang at one store.

Wow... that is quite the 50% score.     I would definitely take another Whiplash at half off.   I'd consider the Secret Wars and Secret Invasion two packs at that price too.

My store from yesterday's FB post was cleaned out of Joe and Avengers.  Yesterday I drove through the parking lot and out the side side street to avoid traffic.

Retro card Spidey is hitting Target clearance at my stores - No Rose or Chasm left at mine. - Tarantula was still full price, rest were 12.49.  Guessing Chasm was also clearanced as there was at least as many of him as there was Elektra/Miles/Jessica Drew last time I was here.

Unfortunately this store didn't get any of the anniversary stuff aside from a single case each of Black Widow and MK1 Iron Man

Grabbed Egghead, FA Ironman, Hawkeye, Doom/Monica, and Destroyer/Thor all for myself at half price and got doubles of the Avengers stuff and a Scrap Iron for FBD. Oddly at both locations I went to the Hulk set was only marked down to $42. 

Of the 3 Targets near me, only one had some MLS on clearance. $15 Iron Man Mk1s, $13 Black Widows, $12.50 Retro Spidey wave and $16 Cho Hulk wave.

Yeah my local Target in Taunton, MA had just about all ML at 50% off except for Ben Reilly ($17.99) and of course the set i wanted most, Monica and Doom, was full price.  I picked up the last Hawkeye and the last Spider-Woman set but they still had plenty of 1st app Iron Man as well as most of the retro Spidey wave (aside from Tarantula and Rose, the only 2 figs in the wave i'm kind of interested in, naturally).

I don't find it unusual, i feel like every year the anniversary stuff gets clearanced out quickly and Target is  often the one that gets it going.  And of course as far as any WM Avengers-adjacent stuff like BuckyCap or Fixit it hasn't shown up at stores near me, that doesn't mean it won't appear 8 months from now or something though. not that i really want either in any case.

Much to my surprise, most (all?) of the Avengers anniversary stuff was 50% off at my Target. Of course Hawkeye, the only figure I wanted, was out of stock.

I wound up picking up Hawkeye and Hulk/Banner half off at a further away Target yesterday too. Hoping the Black Knight/Sersi set drops. Amazon has a "Prime" weekend coming up in October, but I think the Amazon exclusive (Ronan, Gorr, Spidey villains) will really drop once December comes. I can wait til then.
