Just a heads up that EE is running some pretty decent outlet deals right now.

Went back to Ollie's - still choking on Eternals, Mordo, and America Chavez but the AoA pile is down to like 8 Cyclops and 2 Rogues.  Only Bonebreaker figure was a lone Darwin and they added Stealth Captain Carter, movie Ronan The Accuser, and a bunch of MCU Zemo

I still find mcu Ronan's headgear/should pauldrons on that figure ridiculous although i mostly like the fig otherwise. hard to believe he's still floating around at retail.  anyhow comic Ronan a big improvement.

Yea that MCU Ronan's pauldrons are quite ridiculous.  As a reminder for why it's because they're attached to his head, so when you turn it the pauldrons turn, too.  Robo posted a picture in his Fwoosh review illustrating why that design is ridiculous--look what happens when you turn his head:

But the sculpt is otherwise really good so I just use him without turning his head or only turning it a little.  That sucks, but he's otherwise great enough for me to tolerate that limitation.

It does look ridiculous but as far as I can tell, it's accurate to the movie costume. Maybe they could have had his head and the whole headdress/shoulder armor be two pieces instead of attached, so his head could move a little without turning that whole thing with it.

If you go to Target and find any of the Avengers figures that were clearanced out a couple weeks ago, you may be able to get a great deal. I found the Thor and Destroyer two pack and because it rang up for $0, the lady at customer service let me have it for $15.

That's happened to me twice in the last week.  The lady asked me how much it costs, and rang up two blister carded Miles Morales for $7 apiece yesterday.  Earlier in the week there was another ML out of the system so another lady asked me how much they cost, and she put in an original price of $24.99 and took the 70% off.  Basically doing it exactly correctly, which was surprising.

It's amazing how good they are at Target self-checkout, and the free reign they have to move things along.

  1. I had a bad experience with that a few months back.

  2. I spotted several Marvel Legends Red Skull figures in the toy aisle. I bought several others from this series several weeks before at 70% off clearance prices, but this figure was not available at that time. They must have found more in the back, so I was excited to buy this one that was missing from my collection. I also grabbed a McFarlane Toys Shazam Figure that I knew was on clearance from previous visits to this store. I went to an employee to get a price check on these, and neither one scanned as in the system, so he directed me to customer service.

  3. At the service desk, the employee rang up these figures as “zeroed” out. I showed her my Target app receipts showing the 70% off clearance price of the other Marvel Legends figures from the same series at $7.49. She called a manager on the walkie-talkie and explained my request, asking if they could sell me the figure. The manager asked if it was a “Funko Pop” (it is not) then asked if she was speaking from “behind the back.” The employee walked away to the back room to speak with her in private. Now, I’m sure they have to deal with all sorts of scammers and obnoxious customers, but it gave me a bad feeling that they were talking about me or my request in a way that I should not hear.

  4. When the employee returned, she explained that they can’t sell zeroed-out items. I guess it’s company policy to not sell those? They took the figures away from me.

  5. It seems very weird to me that a store would not sell items that were on clearance long enough to be removed from the store system, especially when I had proof of what the 70% off price should be. Surely selling clearance items would be better than whatever happens to the items now!

That's certainly not a policy enforced across the board. When I've found a zeroed out item I'll check out with it and then see what they offer - normally they'll offer something, with some administrative back and forth. To just refuse to sell something they put on the floor is BS. I got Strucker for $5.50 when he was zeroed out.

Sorry they treated you like that.

On a Target note - I received another order from BullseyeDeals and it came completely trashed in the package - like, they bubble-wrapped a product that had already been crushed. Nowhere in the listings that I can see does it list this as a damaged product. It says "Used" but I don't see any further definition of the state of the product. Am I missing something? Is this how everyone is receiving items?

Hasbro Pulse is having a clearance sale.  They have the Ch'od, latest Disney +, GotG, Across the Spider-verse (just 2 of them), and Puff Adder waves.  Prices aren't amazing but I did a quick google check and Hasbro prices beat the legitimate retailers.

@danman I had the same experience with Target not wanting to sell clearance Toys after a certain point.  I think the store scanner says "item not found on file".
