My LA based Targets are pretty bleak too, but I did get lucky at one in the Valley and scored a Hulk set, they actually had the Thor set too, but I had already paid full price for that one. All in all, pretty happy. I got all the figures I didn't want to pay full price for during this clearance.
One of the Targets I went to today was cleared out of all the good stuff they had on clearance and had the signs left up so I got to see exactly what I missed out on. Another Target otw home had one last Shipwreck. There was no clearance sign but I scanned and he was 50% off so I'm glad I at least got him.
I went back to my local Target on Saturday and picked up the Captain Marvel/Dr. Doom 2-pack and the Super Skrull 2-pack. I passed on those earlier but when I though about it I figured I was crazy for passing up 50% off Marvel Legends that I don't already have. They only had 2 of the Skrull sets left. I don't have the BAF Super Skrull so it's nice to have this one, even though it's not my preferred version of the character. They still had plenty of the Monica/Doom sets which I figure might eventually even go lower in price, but I snagged one now because I really wanted that comic version of Monica. I remember picking up her first appearance in ASM Annual #16 when it originally came out and I really liked the story, and the character. As a bonus, the Doom is actually a pretty cool figure as well.
The only ones I missed getting were the Hawkeye and Thor/Destroyer sets. I don't mind missing them all that much because I was on the fence about that Hawkeye because of the soft goods on him. And I have the Marvel Select Destroyer and I don't really want to get rid of it, and I don't need two figures of that character. And I didn't want that version of Thor at all. So all-in-all I'm pretty happy with my pick-ups this week.
The Target near my work supposedly had Hawkeye in stock, so I stopped by before work. It was tagged at full price, but the item scanner confirmed it was 50% off. Hawkeye is now the one and only figure in my collection acquired at retail.
@ashtalon I'm moving out of LA in December and I can't wait to be in a city with a reasonable chance of finding clearance on the shelves (and Walmart exclusives).
My Target still has full prices, while the other Targets I've been to have been cleaned out except for Miles, Spider Woman, and Ronda Rousey. My toy department has become a neglected wasteland. Nobody straightens it up and feral cats were roaming the aisles.
Went to my local Target and apparently sometime between Friday and yesterday, they finally put everything on clearance and got wiped out. I know there were at least 6-7 of the Thor/Destroyer sets the last time I had checked, all gone now. Target app still lists Hawkeye, Hulk and Thor sets as in stock with limited quantities but I didn't see a single one. Did find the Rose, Ultron and a couple others on clearance for $12.49. Really bummed that I missed Hawkeye and Thor sets but I'll hopefully end up getting them if they go on sale elsewhere.
Stopped by the Target near my office this afternoon for a couple legitimate things and was shocked to see they'd already knocked prices down to 70% on some items.
Grabbed Future Ant-Man, Ultron and Tarantula for $7.49 a pop. There was a bunch of Eggheads that still rang up at $12.49. Pretty much everything else was gone. No Avengers 60th stuff at all. Was also hoping to grab a Whiplash at that markdown but no luck.
My daughter had a soccer game so I didn't have time to check any other stores on the way home.
I don't know if anyone else is aware, but a friend recently discovered thatTarget has an eBay store.
Some stuff is quite a bit lower, and if you look at or watch an item, they'll send you offers for purchasing it.
@salemcrow Warning! Most of the items through the Target eBay store are returns. I bought a 60th Black Widow - in the Black Widow box was a Cyclops. Returned it, ordered another - it was a WM Gray Black Widow. Returned it, ordered another - this one was some wire. Swappers apparently love to buy and return to Target.
Just recently heard about the eBay store, but hadn't heard the tip on offers. Thanks
Good place to find cheaper NECA stuff.
Word of warning though — I bought a Gill-man a couple weeks ago and they shipped it out in a non-padded envelope and it took a bit of damage.
So, Target is going the eBay route too? I was assuming most of the Ollie's stuff was coming from Target after the Bandai Boba and Snake-Eyes model kits started to show up.
Target may have added items to clearance. I hadn't noticed the TVC Speeder Bike at half price. I thought the $40+ was outrageous and after holding the box in my hand for a few minutes, I decided I didn't want it at $23.
I'm almost at the point where if I didn't want to pay full price, I shouldn't add it to the collection at discount. There are some exceptions, of course.

I'm almost there too, but not quite. I skipped most of the last few waves, but then saw them at half price at Target and gobbled them all up like they were potato chips and I had a severe case of the weed munchies. 😣

That is a solid recommendation. Some decent deals there... Hatut Zeraze for $12 and Yondu for $15 is nice. Some of the stuff is still way too high for me to buy... and I wonder about the items that are labeled as "pre-owned", which I'm guessing is sales returns? Those I might be careful of in case people ordered on-line, did a swap of some kind and sent it back...
I picked up an Ant-Man movie wave Ultron at Target for $12 and change yesterday. I already had one when it was released originally. Concludes my mini Ultron army build, behind my Bring on the Bad Guys Xemnu BAF wave Classic Ultron.
