I picked up that Storm/Thunderbird set for full price when it first hit, and then a month or so later I picked up 2 more sets on clearance for $11 each. Along with a Squirrel with Scooter set for $9.
On the subject of Ferrera Market, I ordered two in stock figures back when this was going on and finally had to file a claim with my credit card company (Citi Bank). I e-mailed Ferrera again and notified them that I had done so. That same day I received a shipping notice and had a package pop up in my USPS informed delivery. When questioned by my CC company Ferrera provided them the tracking number (which never updated to picked up) and my claim was denied. I appealed (by this point it had been two months) and got a very haughty letter from Citi Bank that the issue was not up for discussion because a tracking number had been provided (seriously felt like a 5 year old being scolded by an adult).
Contacted Ferrera again and they say that Shopify won't let them fulfill the order now because it had been disputed and that they pulled the package and canceled shipping because I disputed it. I even provided that email to Citi Bank and that was ignored. So I canceled that credit card and will never have one from Citi Bank again and now I'm out $60.
That's messed up. Per a friend of mine that works for the Post Office, the tracking number existing does NOT mean a product has been shipped, just that a tracking number was created. So there is still no proof they mailed or were going to mail anything if the tracking did not update to package received by carrier or location. They might have made the tracking number just to thwart the investigation. I would expect people who investigate fraud claims to be a bit more knowledgeable about those kinds of details but then again big companies are sometimes to big to pay attention. My mom always told me to never get a card from Citi or bank with them at all.
Stopped by Target after work Wednesday & picked up Cobb/Cad 2-pack, a second Scrap Iron, a second Shipwreck, & 2 Black Widows for 50% off. I also grabbed 4 Grunts for $11.99. I need to go back & return my previous purchases & re-purchase them to save a little money.
Nothing on clearance at my local Target just yet. I'll just have to keep checking...
Went to the other local Targets near me but they've been cleaned out. I will just have to wait on the nearest store to mark down the Monica sets they have or wait for gamestop or amazon to follow suit.
I assume the next wave is the Mindless One BAF, have been looking forward to that one
All my stores have shelves full of things I would buy, but alas, the only clearance item anyone on these boards would buy is Masterverse Whiplash. Hopefully that just means I'm ahead of the curve and can catch them when/if they do clearance. Is there a particular day that stores generally start clearance on?
I stopped by my local Target again yesterday and they still have 3 Skull Queen 2-packs and like 10 Monica / Doom 2-packs at 50% off. I thought about pulling the trigger on on the Monica set, but I figure if they aren't moving at all at 50% off then it might not be long until they're 75% off. So I might wait a few days and see what happens. If they start to disappear I may grab one at 50% off.
However, I did get a GI-Joe Shipwreck for $12 and I found a GI-Joe Covergirl on the clearance wall. When I went to check out it rang up $0.00 and an associate came over and asked if I got that from the clearance section. I told him I did and he said "you think $5 is fair", and I said "sounds good to me". So I got Covergirl for $5.
This morning I spent 20 minutes opening Marvel Legends, GI-Joes and wrestling figures that I got all on sale this week. It was like Christmas. LOL
Found a Chasm, Ben Reilly, and Rose at the same Target that didn't have them yesterday. Reilly was still full price like Tarantula but the other 2 were 50%.
I hit about ten Targets. Some had nothing. Thor / Destroyer sold out at all of them, but eventually got the rest of the A60 sets, a few single figures and a Scrap Iron. The Skrull set seems to be the dog of the bunch (sales-wise) if stock is any indication. Customers were very motivated by these prices to go out and clean out the stores, and so were comic shops - a few I visited (that never carry legends) had stacks of these.
I just got Black Widow and Grey Hulk 2 pack. Heck of a clearance sale here.
Had to take my daughter out to Target for a cheap pair of sneakers she needed — which they didn't have at the first store. Anyway, both the two Targets closest to me have put out or are in the process of putting out more marked-down stuff.
The first store had a ton of stuff on a couple carts in the back aisle by electronics. Grabbed Ben Reilly and Miles for $12.49 (Had only seen them $17-something or full price this past week). They had just a ton of Rose figures stacked on one of the carts too. He's hitting 70%, no doubt. There was some clearance Spawn stuff and more Avengers 60th, including Black Widow.
The second store had about three or four cases worth (if Target got these in legit cases) of Quantumania wave on an endcap also in the back aisle closer to Halloween stuff. Had a bunch of everyone but Crossfire who I did not see at any of the Targets near me this glorious week. There was a bunch of the other clearance stuff like the SW two-pack there as well.
I went to a bunch of Targets in the Pittsburgh area today and most had the Ant-Man movie figure on clearance. I went to the Target in South Hills Village and it was the only one that had a bunch of Egghead, Ultron & Future Ant-Man. I did get Kang earlier but I haven't seen Wasp or Crossfire to complete Cassie. I don't think I will find them at Target. I picked up Hawkeye at the last Target I stopped at, it was the only one I saw. I've seen plenty of Thor, Black Widow, Skrulls & Iron Man 60th anniversary figures. I was debating on the Captain Marvel / Dr. Doom 2 pack. I usually only get the movie figures, but I want to make an 80s Avengers team display since they have been making a lot of those figures in the past few years. I have most of them from Toy Biz.
Distribution is such a crapshoot. Emphasis on the "crap". I've never seen Rose or Tarantula in any of my Targets ever and the only Cassie wave figure I've seen is Kang and Ant-Man.
FYI Crossfire won't be found at Target - he was the one they chose not to carry in-store. Target.com "out of stock-d" this wave a week or two after release so might want to search elsewhere for him.
Damn, hoping I find Cobb/Cad and Shipwreck on clearance before they get wiped out. Not on clearance at my store yet.
