Dang, I just thought about how we should've sent more cards to them, this time, too. Unless we're only doing this for SDCC.
I think it's probably better to do it as a spread out type of thing and not a constant thing. It loses impact if you hit them with it every couple of months.
These are all great questions, guys. I'm copying them into a note on my phone in case my internet access is limited inside the Javitz Center.
Refresh my memory, please. Which characters got featured in that set of cards?NORM! Ask them if they display their Fwoosh Trading Cards at the office!
I have the same two questions I have had before:
1 - How much leeway do they have in selecting the artwork to base the figures on and how much is from a Disney preferred style guide/recommendations?
2 - Are they considering line expansion to include more animals, larger vehicles, playsets/environments?
Side note:
How is it we're in the middle of a Con and the site hasn't crashed yet?
Maybe there isn't enough to talk about yet. The panel starts at 5:15 tonight. I should be able to swing that, maybe do some live updates right in this thread.

Since we're using the Fwoosh Top 10 as the basis for it, I think an annual set of cards (or any of the other ideas that were discussed) works best. That gives enough time for things to be revealed and the top 10 to change, and like PC said I think it will be more impactful if it's not constant. Plus, if we do cards again, I'm hoping to do something a little more custom next time which will take a bit more work.
Already since SDCC four of these wants have been announced (Crystal, Lockjaw, Titania, Dragon Man) and hopefully we'll have even more after this weekend!
I have two questions I'd love to hear asked:
- Since Hasbro has not made a new toyline for the Hulk in several years, is Hasbro allowed to make a new "Marvel Legends" wave or Retro wave in regards to "The Incredible Hulk"?
- Could we see figures of any of the four villains from Mattel's original "Secret Wars" toyline or long requested characters, such as the Absorbing Man and/or the Wrecking Crew, for a second "Marvel Legends: Secret Wars" toyline or perhaps two-packs?
If anyone sends wish-lists to Dwight, Ryan and/or Dan if anyone gets interview any or all of them for future interviews, please let them know I'd love to see figures made for white Armani suit and/or an updated green-and-orange suit Doc Ock, "opera gloves" uniform Invisible Woman, Generation X Jubilee, classic Thor, first appearance Mary Jane Watson, Outback era black uniform Storm with the yellow lightning bolt insignia, Jim Lee/Gold Team uniform Colossus, and West Coast black-and-red uniform Wonder Man.
I hope you guys have a blast at Comic Con!
I'd say the finger is pointing to the height of the new Sentinel.

I'm not Hasbro but I know the answer to this question is for sure yes. Hasbro has the full Marvel license so they are allowed to make a wave of Hulk Marvel Legends if they want to. Marvel Studios is limited in being able to release any Hulk solo movie as the movie rights are tied up with another studio, but that has nothing to do with toys.
One of the reasons we haven't seen a dedicated Hulk wave of figures in quite some time may be that there hasn't been a Hulk solo movie in 16 years. Another factor that weighs against a Hulk wave of figures is that many Hulk characters tend to be oversized in nature - iterations of Hulk himself, allies and enemies tend to be larger than normal and thus more expensive to make, and likely, to sell. An entire wave of oversized figures may be thought to be a more daunting proposition for retail partners.
So it's much more likely practical reasons like cost, size and retailer reluctance and has nothing to do with being 'allowed to'.

Well. Consider me somewhat hyped. If these are truly classic-styled Sentinels at that height they could be marvelous. Also IF that's the height I'd be very surprised if they come in under $100.
Yeah, finger height would definitely take me out of the "army building" mindset, as both size and price would most likely be restrictive for me personally.
