Looks to be the same figure they showed last year which makes me think either they want to capitalize on the popularity of X-Men '97 or Marvel wants them to use that branding. Mondo clarified in the comments on Twitter that calling it an X-Men '97 release had no change in their approach to the sculpt, just the accessories. Of which, I don't really see anything '97 specific. Even the steaming beverage is from the original series and not the coffee cup he had in the new one. Anyway, I want that jacket so I'll be gunning for the limited release tomorrow.
Cyclops looks great. The X-Men '97 branding is a little weird given the other's are all X:TAS.
Definitely anxious about being able to get the limited edition. I hate that they're going that route instead of the timed editions. The Rogue one sold on in like two minutes.
I'm hoping she was just especially popular (and had the Sentinel base) and that he won't sell out immediately.

Secured my LE Cyclops. Looks like he's expected to ship before the end of the year so it's going to be a little bit of a wait, but that's fine since my shelf is stuffed.
Got my order in. Cyclops mostly just stands there, so if he has weak ankles it shouldn't matter as much, and those extras for the deluxe version are amazing.
There's a limit of 2 per person, but as far as I can tell that only applies per order. I was able to add two more to a separate order and get all the way to the end of checkout, although I didn't complete the transaction. Mondo uses Shopify, and those cross-transaction limits kick in well before checkout on Hasbro Pulse which also uses Shopify so I'm guessing Mondo doesn't have them.
Got mine! I like how it made me go through three rounds of confirming I'm a person. Seriously. Helped to slow the process down.
Encouraging that he's still available ten minutes later.
15 mins and still available which is good compared to Rogue selling out in 2 mins!

Was there an order limit on the Rogue deluxe? She's selling for $500+ on eBay, so I wondered if a few people bought tons of her.

Yeah, looks like it made it about 20 minutes. That's at least an improvement.
I do hope they're not all limited editions going forward. The B:TAS Bane recent one was a timed edition.
Agreed - I definitely prefer Timed Editions to Limited ones - at least that way its more fair and gives everyone more of a chance to get the figures

The ones left I think they're guaranteed to do are Storm, Beast, and Jean Grey. Sinister, Bishop, Cable, Apocalypse, and Morph are maybe's. Out of all those, I think Storm would be the most popular.
Definitely a little concerned since Funko bought Mondo they'll be bringing the forced scarcity mindset they have to these. In my mind, these are already so expensive, they don't need additional barriers to obtaining them.
As long as they're not instant sell-outs, I'm fine with how they're doing things. Timed is definitely preferable as a consumer. Only thing I don't like is that these limited versions are definitely becoming the more desirable. With Sabretooth and Magneto their limited editions were way more gimmicky, but the extra stuff with both Rogue and Cyclops trends way closer to essential for me making the standard versions feel vastly inferior.
@gpmartin414 I'm more concerned that Funko, as a company, isn't doing well which could in turn negatively impact Mondo. This line appears to be doing well and it received a shot in the arm with X-Men '97, hopefully Funko doesn't screw it up.
Why is Funko not doing well with so many rabid Pop collectors?
