I'm usually pretty patient when it comes to waiting for stuff, but I'm so anxious for BBTS to get Green Goblin in.

@bat To be fair to Mezco, they are known to be a terrible company to buy directly from with garbage customer service, so they are just making sure they hold up to their standards. Seriously, though, after many years of this type of stuff happening it just feels like they simply don't care about their customers. It's downright unethical (if not criminal) to treat you like that. I don't buy many of their figures anymore, but whenever I have to buy directly from them I always hope I don't get screwed.
2) The first time I articulated the elbow, the armor band that covers the articulation came off. I articulated the other elbow and that one came off too. I was able to snap the pieces back into place, but they still fall off at the slightest touch.
This happened with mine except it was both knee pads. Had to glue them on and getting them to actually stick was about as fun as you'd expect. Same thing with the magnet, which was much easier to fix at least. The belt was also causing similar problems, but I thickened the peg with the sliiightest dab of super glue and now it holds no issue.
I still like it enough to overlook these flaws, especially since all of them were fixable without compromising the toy itself in any way, but you really shouldn't have to do that. Especially for a figure that costs this much.
I quoted this the other day but the forum experienced a server issue when I submitted my post. The gist of it was that the superglue is a good idea, though the belt peg and elbow peg holes are nearly microscopic. I'm not sure I'm dextrous enough to fix those issues.
And, as you said, you shouldn't have to make DIY changes to a figure this expensive. I'm fairly certain this is the most expensive figure I've ever purchased. Notable, the second-most expensive (1000toy's Halo Infinite Master Chief at $149.99) was perfect aside from one oversized weapon.
I worried that between Constantine and Doom, Mezco would suck me back in. No chance of that now.

I should note I used super glue gel for both since I have fairly wobbly hands myself. You would not see me bring liquid super glue anywhere NEAR this figure, oh my god. Though, maybe that's why the knee pads took so much effort to stick back on.
I think Doom was the single most expensive figure I've bought too, as far as retail price goes, anyway. There's only one other that I paid more for, but that was on the aftermarket. Funnily enough, it was another Mezco figure; that first Nosferatu they did. If you can believe it, I ran into problems there too! I actually broke one of his ankles, but that one was actually my bad since I was treating it like a double barbell joint when it was a ball hinge joint with an ankle pivot. Literally the only Mezco figure I know of with that kind of ankle articulation. Thankfully, that was an easy replacement.
I mainly buy Mezco's horror stuff. They really got their grips in me there. Thankfully for my wallet, I actually don't really like most of their superhero figures. Feel like the format doesn't lend itself to them that well, at least in my opinion. Mainly interested in the ones that don't have skintight costumes like Doom or Green Goblin.
I actually got that Green Goblin in the mail yesterday and I'm really liking it. Unlike Doom, there's no notable QC issues far as I can tell. I'll have to give more detailed thoughts on it later.
As mentioned in my previous post, I got the Mezco Green Goblin. It's pretty fantastic. I'm very impressed by the scalloped scales in-person, they do a better job at giving the limbs texture than I'd thought they might. Outfit overall is pretty good. Though, it does impede torso movement. Being buried beneath two layers of soft goods, this is expected. Articulation overall is really good, though.
Headsculpts are all fantastically sculpted, even if I feel the stoic unmasked head is a bit off. Think it's the lips, they're too pouty. The maniacal unmasked is completely spot-on, though. They all feel a little big, unmasked ones in particular, but so do most Mezco figures. I know what I was getting into here.
All the accessories are great, love that he comes with the more obscure weapons like the mechanical frog and asphyxiation ghost grenade. Never thought we'd see a Goblin figure come with those. Also FINALLY, a Green Goblin with pointer fingers for sparkle blasting and a set of fists. Though, it is a bit unfortunate the object throwing hands are all for his right side. Same goes for the tight grip hand for the mask. Wish he had two of those if nothing else.
Glider is good, it's a nice size and he sticks on there securely thanks to the foot pegs. Even with the impeded torso articulation, he can get some deep stances. This isn't at all fair to consider, BUT I wish it had a socket for a balljointed stand like the Marvel Legends glider. The exhaust fume stands are good, but maybe a bit too static for my tastes. I know I can get him up higher and in more dynamic poses on the included clamp grip stand, but it eats up a lot more space that way.
Overall, I'm super pleased. Mentioned it before, but I mainly got this because Hasbro is slacking when it comes to giving us a great Green Goblin and I honestly don't know if MAFEX will ever get to him. So, this is probably the best we're gonna see for awhile. Thankfully, he's pretty great and I think he integrates with other lines pretty well. For anyone curious, here's a couple comparisons with some Spider-Mans, other Green Goblins, and a few action shots to show how he poses.
He's a bit taller than the last Marvel Legends Green Goblin. He might scale a tad too big to fit with the MAFEX Spidey, but I think they look pretty fantastic together regardless. I know the Mezco Spidey scales even smaller, so it's honestly fine to me, but maybe you disagree. Either way, great to have actually have a Green Goblin figure that feels so definitive. It'd be cool to see them make a Hobgoblin too, even if it'd take them many years for them to actually release it.
Thanks! I think it's the leg articulation that really helps with poses on the glider, they can kick up shockingly high and he can actually do the splits.
If MAFEX ever got around to Gobby, I'd definitely buy it. I'm just having my doubts since their Spidey line is so late '80s/mid '90s focused and they seem too busy with all their other Marvel lines like X-Men and Avengers to dig into Spidey's rogues gallery. Still, with some of the Clone Saga figures they've made, I suppose they could make a Green Goblin based on John Romita Jr's take from that era. That could definitely be cool and fit in with that they've made pretty well.
I'm more tempted with every review and photo. I've got some major FOMO for him right now, so I should probably cave soon!
GG looks awesome! Can't wait for him to arrive 🙂 and as others have said a Hobgoblin (my fave Spidey villain) would be awesome!
I always would love it if Mafex made more classic Spidey villains to
Hopefully it isn't much longer before BBTS gets their stock in.

They could reuse most of the patterns and a lot of the tooling from Green Goblin for Hobgoblin. They GOTTA be considering it at least. He'd be perfect for the format.
My fav thing about Mezco is the grift they have going where they take an NRD upfront, wait 2+ years to ship, then unilaterally cancel your order without warning or notification, keep the NRD, and ignore your emails. Totally not a fraudulent practice.

I'm sorry you had this happen but posting the same rant in 3 threads seem a little much.
Why not post in on social media while tagging them in the posts and using hashtags that'll draw more eyes to it than this (even smaller now) community?

This targets the right eyes. If it's a little much for you feel free to disregard and go on living your life.
Great poses. He looks incredible on that glider. Somehow he looks 1000x more natural on the glider than any of Hasbro's GGs.
A MAFEX GG is one of my biggest wants right now, but like you, I don't know that it will ever happen.
Hasbro Goblins come with such tiny gliders. It's kind of sad.
Loving this Mezco Gobby and count me in as someone that wants a Mafex Gobby!
