Yep, Fuck Mezco. Never preorder from their site. They canceled several of my pre-orders, even though they had figures in stock. Did not refund the NRD. Said "oh sorry, our mistake" and just ignored it.
I caved and ordered Spider-Man yesterday. I'm really looking forward to getting him and GG. My Golden Age Batman/Two-Face set is my favorite Mezco toy(s) and I'm really excited about all the classic figures that are coming out.
Finally opened my Dr Doom after a business trip (my 2nd Mezco figure) and he is near perfect. Just…an awesome figure. Amazing sculpt and detail, and a perfect blend of metal armor and cloth goods. I’m usually not one for cloth goods outside of a good cape, but Doom is perfect for this style. A centerpiece to go with Galactus in the Fantastic 4 display.
I’m not a fan of the cape, though. It’s a bit rigid and I’m having some trouble posing the wire and getting it to stick. Anyone have suggestions for a custom one?
Good to know to avoid Mezco directly if I get any more figures…got Doom from EE with no NRD and very happy with it.
@captaincracker If you like the GA Batman I highly recommend the classic style Superman (Man of Steel edition) 🙂
Didn't know the green cloth was scalloped; I thought it was printed. Pretty amazing looking with great accesories
My Amazing Spider-Man just shipped - can't wait for him (I love the Mezco GA Batman and Man of Steel Superman) - I'm not planning to go all in with Mezco but plan to get Green Goblin to display with Spidey 😀 (and maybe Doc Ock if they make one)

They previewed a Doc Ock figure a while ago but haven't shown anything for him since then. Every Wednesday, when they put up a new product for preorder, I keep hoping it'll finally be Octavius.
Cool I saw the robo tentacles in one of the Spider-Man promo pics but didn't know they had shown a full figure 🙂

Yeah, that Toy Fair '22 reveal was it. I think that was the same year they previewed King Conan and Spider-Gwen, both of which eventually went up for pre-order, so I'm hopeful Doc Ock will be available some day soon.
Damn, that Goblin looks great! I might have to get a second one to display unmasked!
For those considering a more classic mask for Dr Doom, I tried the face plate that was included with the Doom in the Avengers anniversary Secret Wars 2pk with Monica Rambeau. It fits the face but doesn’t cover the forehead. The hood can cover enough of the gap, but it also doesn’t stick on the face. You might need to get creative or use some blue tack. The open eye holes line up perfectly to the eyes!
