If I thought Hasbro really had some serious synergy going, I'd guess the reveal would be the Crossbones/Constrictor 2-pack we've been hearing about since last year to coincide with release of Cap: BNW.
Hoping that we are still getting a Leader figure
I have a strong feeling we had one on the way
@the_nobody That's always a possibility, but it's not like they haven't released inaccurate figures before. In theory, depending on what body they went with, all they'd really have to do would be a new head (and maybe change the color of his hands). Depends how much notice, if any, they got about the design change and if they're willing to spend the money on the new parts. They may also just say "screw it", release it, and worry about a more accurate one down the road, like they've done before.
This guy is almost definitely going to be on the Talos body and if we cut off his Skrull ears we're halfway to this figure already!
Also, that design looks way less dumb than the final design.
Another possibility for figures announced this month are figures from the animated Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man show. I'm about half way through it and there's honestly not anything that I'd likely buy from it, though. Maybe the female version of Unicorn, but that would seem like a deep cut.
I can't imagine that I'll personally be interested in any MCU Leader figure that they may end up doing. I'd probably be more likely to buy a Giancarlo Esposito Sidewinder. Shira Haas "Ruth" or Carl Lumbly Isaiah Bradley figure if they eventually did any of those, though.
At this point, I'm thinking they've probably decided to break up the Crossbones and Constrictor figures to include in later waves (like some of us think they did with Loki and Mystique as well.) Those 4 could be the start of decent new Villains wave, probably fan channel only though. Add in any of the Hypno Hustler, Power Princess or Slyde figures that some of us got our hopes for and we're in business!
Loki and Mystique were rumored to be together?
I wish we'd gotten a fully unmasked Joaquin - or the titular character, for that matter.
We need a proper Red Hulk head, unmasked Sam, unmasked Joaquin, Ruth but doubt she's coming and Leader to be "complete" but I definitely don't need him or her. And maybe I'll get around to my TFA Han head-pop today for Ross...

I would gladly buy Isiah or Sidewinder, but also want Leader lol. Ruth, I guess I would buy her if they made her or would have more interest if she came back in a relevant role. But I wouldn't miss her as of now if they never made her
Loki and Mystique were rumored to be together?
No. Loki was rumored to be in the Cabal 3-pack and Mystique was rumored to be with Destiny. A lot of people think that both were changed. I'm just suggesting that they probably made a similar decision to split Constrictor and Crossbones after rethinking it also. It doesn't seem like a 2-pack that would sell all that well, honestly.
Ah, yes. That combo always struck me as a bit odd.
I still maintain the Rogue that comes with Destiny is Mystique. How else do you explain *that* face.
😉
Not sure if this is the right thread for all of this but:
Captain America: Brave New World was great! I really like the three figures. Falcon-Cap and Falcon have very cool wings. MCU Red Hulk was awesome on screen. I’m happy to have the figure, although I like the comic figure more overall.
Thunderbolts looks like such fun. I loved the What If? Episode with Red Guardian and Winter Soldier, so it will be fun to see them on screen together. I really hope Ghost and Taskmaster get to shine and survive. They are such great characters in the comics. I really hope Taskmaster gets the funny, sarcastic personality from the comics.
Like others have said, I love Sentry in the comics. It’s amazing to see him in the movies. But he’s such a powerhouse character. It’s crazy to have Sentry without any of the super powerful characters to counter him. He should be able to beat Iron Man, Thor, and Captain Marvel.
It also really makes me frustrated that Norman Osborn hasn’t crossed over into the MCU. The Iron Patriot and Sentry dynamic was great in the comics. And Iron Patriot just seems so timely these days…

I'm gonna save adrienveidt some time and say no. I feel it's okay for here, but there is a movie thread:

Captain America: Brave New World was great!
Awesome! It doesn't look like the strongest entry, but certainly looks more enjoyable than several I can think of off the top of my head, so I'm definitely looking forward to it. I appreciate hearing from those who enjoy it, as I don't expect something perfect but still want to enjoy myself for a couple hours damnit.

YES!

I couldn't agree more, BUT... I do expect someone in Thunderbolts to fulfill aspects of that role. Bucky makes the most sense. Oh! I just realized, that is kinda timely too in a sense...
Kinda torn on the Brave New World figures now and whether to go ahead and open them, or return them. I'll spare ya'll my review (I left it in the film discussion thread), but because I was a bit "meh" on the movie overall, I don't know which of the Legends feel all that crucial now. Something tells me we won't get Red Hulk again for a while, if at all, and his presence in the movie wasn't too great. Maybe if they ever make a Ross figure, I'd feel a stronger need. I did enjoy Falcon well enough, but they basically confirmed at the end that he'll be getting a new suit next time around (which was a safe bet anyway, given how often they change costumes in these movies), and even though it'll probably be a while, I feel like I can wait. And Sam, while certainly nice looking, strayed away from my preferred suit for him. I really liked how different the white suit was from Steve's uniform, whereas the blue definitely skews a lot closer.
I also don't know what other figures I'd really want from the movie. No one really left a big enough impression on me. I suppose I'd take a Leader just to have another villain on the shelf, but I'd probably wait for a sale. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I was able to get these guys on sale- that definitely helps the pill go down a bit easier. If I ever do want them in the future, it might be hard to find them for a comparable price (then again, it might be less, depending). Those of you who saw the movie- how did it effect your desire for the figures?
I know it sounds like I've answered my own question, but something is still slightly holding me back. Don't know if it's that old school completionist collector in me, or something else. I think I'm only being so dramatic because I'm still trying to be more mindful of the purchases I make- waiting for sales, only getting looks and characters I think are crucial or vast improvements over previous releases, etc.
I get all that. I opened mine this weekend after seeing the movie so I knew what I wasn't in for. But these three are a small enough display I don't mind having them - and I feel like I would always know they weren't on my shelf in a way I think would bother me more. Do I like needing to replace almost all of their heads for more accurate versions? Not at all. But I also got them on sale, so I'm happy with the price - $17.49, $19.97 and I'll eventually get Hulk down, too. 🙂
And once I realized I had Sam's wings in backwards he became a *lot* less frustrating! 🙂

Only 1 reveal today, which is the Daredevil Born Again figure.
Thank you!
The Daredevil figure is nice but does this essentially disprove the rumored Disney Plus wave that was set to include him and Punisher or maybe that wave will have a different suit?
