Eh, I still think the new Iron Heart looks neat. I forgot to take sales data into account.
Marvelous News posted more rumors from Displaying Model Behavior and NWH Electro is on there along with black suit Tobey, both said to be deluxe. Slight ugh but I definitely want Electro..I'm sure the black suit will do well too.
Black Suit Tobey is an easy repaint. I am def buying him. Obviously Electro too. Interesting nothing about Lizard yet
Still nothing about a D+ wave. Just more X-Men 97.
I'd definitely snag a Black Suit Tobey. Not sure what would make him deluxe, unless they throw in some Symbiote or half-Symbiote pieces, which I personally don't need. Emo Peter head? Another that I don't necessarily need. Because he could be done in just a straight repaint, I hope they don't go the deluxe route.
Happy that Electro was mentioned, but that does make me worry at the lack of Lizard. Hope he doesn't end up being the one omission, or a BAF. Wonder if it's anything to do with rights, like how they had to use the ASM 2 logo on Andrew Spidey. Then again, it's probably too early to be worrying yet. There was a lot of hubbub about Gobby's glider or Ock's arms being a BAF, but those didn't end up happening.
Maybe the Symbiote figure from Spider-Man 3 has parts to make him into Venom? He had a different chest symbol but I dunno.

It's really only thing I could think of that would make it "deluxe." Cause I am sure there will be a Bully Maguire head and hands and such, but I don't think like 3 sets of hands and a head make something feel deluxe. Electro I can more easily see various effects and such making that feel more substantive
If they did a Venom parts swap figure, I would need 2 lol.
@e-rock And maybe a flight stand for Electro.
I'd still be interested in a deluxe Sandman. If they never do, fine, but I'd still prefer a big, fist-waving deluxe figure.
I'm definitely into the Gamerverse Black Cat, since I'm feeling like even if she does show up in the movies, she won't get a figure, AND the gamerverse symbiote Spider-man to finally use for my "MCU" Dark Avengers Mac Gargan.

I def can see a flight stand for Electro as well. I just see more value in that as a potential deluxe offering than Black Suit Tobey. Though again, I am buying him regardless, so who is the sucker lol!
Sandman would be an interesting one to see a deluxe for. I am more than happy with the one we got, but if they wanted to try the Sandstorm Sandman thing again, I would be curious to see it now.
Given now with a deluxe Electro and prior Ock and Goblin deluxe, I def think Lizard as a deluxe is coming at some point. Going to be curious to see how much new that will offer or how much reuse from the TASM one. Whenever we get it. Though I have the TASM one, so I am covered
Definitely want Ironheart’s new armor.
Probably her villain as well.
Just saw the leaked list. I just love supporting a company who basically says, "Billy and Rio?" Nahhhhhhh women and gays pshhh. Skip.. Daredevil and Punisher? Heck yay!" It's so frustrating to me! I get that Billy and Rio's final looks were probably surprise but I'm so done making excuses for Hasbro on this front.
I think Xmen 97 has completely taken over the D+ wave. From a business stand point I get it because yeah, people couldn't get Rogue and Wolverine quick enough and I can't think of a live action D+ figure that sold like that. But to be completely taken off the table is wild. McDonalds still makes freaking mcfishes even tho the Big Mac is where it's at cuz somebody out there is gobbling down mcfishes like it's nobodies business! I'm trying to gobble down some live action D+ waves dang it!
Also I saw Werewolf by Night on the leaked list but he looked to be in an all comic wave. But then again it's an 8 figure wave?? I really hope he's MCU somehow.
Well I guess I'll end this rant on the same old song and dance of "Billy and Rio will definitely show back up and HoPeFuLlY get figures than." Blah blah.

'Cept Funko got the final looks AND managed to get product to market (spoilerific as it turned out to be). Plus, this show was shot in 2022. Not having reference is not the problem.
Yeah, I also hate that X-Men 97 seems to have completely obliterated the D+ waves. But, it is what it is I guess

I get where you're coming from. As a gay myself, I always lament the fact at how little rep there really is for gay characters, especially in figure form. I used to have my "Rep Shelf" of figures of gay characters, even ones I didn't know/like, just to have the representation there and help myself feel a little better at things. I can't necessarily fault Hasbro that the shelf didn't fill up super quick. LGBT rep, while better than ever, still has a long way to go, and it's definitely telling that a company like Hasbro can't/won't make a figure of a gay character because said gay character probably wasn't given enough to do to warrant being made into a figure. Unless their gayness is an easily avoidable/edited out thing, in which case (at least to me), they hardly qualify as a true gay character at all.
That said, I do think the issue is a bit bigger than Hasbro. I don't even think that, at least in this case, it's necessarily Hasbro's fault. I don't think anyone expected Agatha to be as big a hit as it was. I sure wasn't, and I've always loved Kathryn Hahn, Patti, Aubrey, etc. I think Hasbro especially probably saw the wave that Agatha was in before pegwarm and bought into the whole "there's no hype for this show". General audiences may know who Punisher or Daredevil is (they're not exactly A listers, at least today, but there's enough nostalgia there, I think), whereas the number of folks who'll see Agatha on the shelf, or Lilia Caulderu, and know who it is, is far less, even with Agatha's good reception from Wandavision. Would I take a Lilia or a Rio or Jen or Alice? Yesterday! But thinking of it from a mass market appeal, and it bums me out, but I can see why they wouldn't. Funko, on the other hand, can produce things a lot quicker and easier. They're smaller, cheaper, they don't have to worry about likeness rights, etc.
We know that, while certainly not perfect, of course, Hasbro isn't afraid to make female action figures; heck- 2 of the 3 Black Series figures they just announced are female aliens. Granted, Star Wars is its own machine that can sell just about anything, but Marvel isn't far behind. There's always more room for improvement, of course, but I can't necessarily fault Hasbro for the lack of buyer interest. Now that they know the show was a hit, did the likelihood of seeing another Agatha, a Rio, and a Billy go up? Definitely. But by the time they're thrown together and produced, how much hype will there still be for the show? I'd still happily buy them, but especially in a machine like the MCU, the attention has long since moved on to another, fresher project. That's another reason why I think slowing down on output can only be a good thing for the MCU. Give each project more time to breathe and be appreciated before burying it under a pile of new stuff.
All that said, it's a tricky topic, and one that I don't know will ever have a fully satisfying conclusion, at least in my lifetime. But progress is being made! Projects centered around women and queer characters are becoming more and more popular and given more love and care by their makers. As always, it's the audience that truly holds the power, and we gotta keep supporting these things so we can make it known we want figures from them.
I would like an Agatha in her pantsuit look with removable jacket, Rio and Billy. Make it a boxset and call it "The Witches Road." Designs itself.
But even then... I still don't really need Rio.
I haven't even finished the show and Rio is the main one I want.
