I am referring to this list. Says it's a wave, and I don't remember anytime they did a just 2 or 3 figure wave in recent times.
Other parts of that list were slightly off - like Mystique in the Destiny 2-pack - and obviously most of the movie waves aren't coming this year - so it is possible the term "wave" was an interpretation of product coming but isn't exactly like "waves" we are used to seeing.
It's certainly possible it's a standard 6 figure wave. But there's a chance it's something else as that list hasn't been infallible.
The delayed waves though were probably in whatever system these came from at the time, so those all will eventually come. Just to correspond with their respective movies. I don't see any precedent with past waves and such that would lead me to think they only did like 2 or 3 figures from the movie with no wave. When we have seen 1 or 2 figures it's usually exclusives. These don't seem like exclusives
I guess the upside to Cap 4 being delayed is that the figures for that should have no problem hitting when the movie actually releases. That is, assuming Hasbro wasn't tied to some silly spoiler thing where they can't show off widely available costumes. Now that a trailer has been released and people actually know that a certain red meanie is in the movie, it's really just a matter of holding off on the face, which we'll probably have seen by then anyway.
Having trouble posting the link, but on ToyShiz's Insta, it looks like we're FINALLY getting some Outriders! And I think in a 2-pack as well! Can't quite tell if it's a 2-pack or if they're just showing the different display possibilities, but I hope it is. It's smart to do army builders in multipacks. Hope a Chitauri pack isn't too far behind!

I think it's a single figure with 2 heads, but I could be wrong. I am buying 3 myself. Then adding them to my Christmas list where I won't be made if people buy me more. Maybe will snag a few more if they see an eventual discount. I want 3 minimum (or 4 if it's a 2 pack...cause I would buy 2 of those).
I hope this means the Chitari are coming!!!!
Def scoring Wolverine. Colossus as well. Maybe will grab Deadpool at some point. That Logan figure.....maybe when the price drops.
Love finally getting Outriders in Legends! Great character design that works for both comics and MCU! This figure looks really well done!
I am very pumped for this as well. I am hoping we start getting more Army Builder MCU figures now. Chitari and Ultron Drones are musts for me. I think Hammer Drones would be more unlikely, but I would want those as well.

So, to close the loop on this conversation - the "wave" was in fact 3 figures - since they weren't privy to information to build a more comprehensive movie wave.
At least they indicated at the convention that there are many more figures from the movie that they want to do.... they'll just have to come out a year from now.

And it wasn't because they didn't want to do a wave, and it wasn't because they shied away from a wave due the R rating of the movie (as I was worried might be the case) - they did a sort of half wave because they weren't given any further information about what was in the film. So I say we can both go away claiming we were a little bit right, and a little bit off on this one 😀

Speculating Wave 2 will be fun! Sleeveless Wolverine has to be a lock with the requisite re-use for a wave. Perhaps a dinged up Deadpool... but the rest of the wave and possible deluxe figures... oh boy. Using the No Way Home model, let's have some fun:

This could have been thought out better since a few of those require more original parts than the releases I've mapped them to, but the Andrew and Tobey Spider-Men were technically original for this wave, just pre-rereleased to justify the new tooling.

Deadpool - blood splattered? Gold guns? With temp pad? Coffee mug? Unmasked bald and unmasked with hair system? Comes with Adamantium Skeleton Logan pieces? (ooohh, all those extra Ultron spines from Quicksilver suddenly have a purpose!)
Nicepool - if they can get Ryan's likeness, with Mary Puppins (but again, ick)
Laura/Blade/Gambit/Johnny/Elektra - if I can't have all of them, I don't want any of them EXCEPT for Elektra, so I'm kinda torn.
