Cap 4 Legends will totally be out for Christmas, unless they Deadpool & Wolverine the wave

Assuming Cap 4 isn't delayed again, yes that's probably accurate. But a Nov/Dec time frame for a Feb movie is reasonable and consistent with what we have seen from Legends in prior years. I do think it may get delayed again, but I am not going to start a discussion on why I think that has a non-zero chance of happening. But pending that, absolutely agree

I don't think Beyond the Spiderverse has a release date as of now, so that stuff ain't coming. We have known about that delay for more than enough time for Hasbro to delay it like they have past waves.

I honestly haven't been paying attention to the delay rumors lately, is Cap 4 in trouble? I know they finished the reshoots but they still have several months to finish the effects etc.

This may not come to pass, but FATWS and Secret Invasion both had reshoots due to real world events. For FATWS it was removing the virus plot in the wake of COVID and for Secret Invasion, it was related to stuff going on with Russia. I again....don't want to open this can of worms. But part of me wonders if what happened today makes them think twice about putting out a movie where people are trying to shoot a President. Maybe an overreaction on my part and I am not interested in having a political discussion or anything. I just wonder if this may result in changes to the movie

And yes, this isn't the biggest takeaway from what happened today. Not even close. But this is an action figure forum, and a thread more geared towards movie based figures. So I am discussing this in that context. Obviously, in the end this isn't even close to the biggest issue

@e-rock I get where you're coming from, and why all the explanation. Honestly, I never even made the connection but it's definitely logical.

I cannot wait to get the Leader and Red Hulk! More excited for those figures potentially coming than the movie itself!

Was the Leader in that "teaser"?  I watched it a second time and still didn't see him, so if he's in there it must be an ultra-quick cameo.

Does anyone understand why Marvel Studio is calling things "teasers" versus "trailers"?  I used to understand the difference between those two, but now I can't tell.  Teasers used to be super-short, usually 30 to 60 seconds, and they typically didn't show much actual footage or CGI from the film.  But that Brave New World "teaser" is just under the usual length of a trailer, i.e. 2 minutes, and it's FULL of footage and CGI.

A good example of what "teasers" used to be like is the one for the 2003 Hulk movie linked below.  This thing is only one minute long, and it contains NO footage from the film, just a shot of Eric Bana standing in front of a mirror talking about what living with the Hulk is like with none of that dialog actually being in the film.

The word "trailer" is pretty meaningless now anyway.  Movie previews used to come AFTER movies, and that's where the "trailer" name comes from.  50+ years ago they moved them to the front of films, so now they're actually "headers," not trailers.  🤪

Leader we know is in the movie for sure. That's been known since SDCC a few years ago. I think the back of his head may have been visible in the trailer, but certainly no good looks

I don't know if he is shown, but Leader has a line of dialogue at least.

And yeah, I can't tell the difference with teasers anymore. There used to be rules!

And nowadays we have trailers FOR the trailer! Short little teasers saying "trailer coming soon" or a mini trailer attached to the trailer that says "trailer starts now". Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!

Hot Toys showed off their new Deadpool today. Looks pretty dang awesome. Sure would love for Hasbro to unveil their figures soon too! Keep the masked Wolvie head a secret like they did with Lola in the Kenobi wave if they must, but let us know something!

It's really hit or miss on whether we get unmasked Deadpool portraits. It's very much time for ML to give us one. But if not even Hot Toys is, hmmm... It does say more to be revealed so fingers crossed that's what they mean.

Reading between the lines, enough of this movie was kept under wraps that they are probably holding off on a full wave until every surprise is revealed to the general audience.

I can see the team not knowing a lot of the finer details and cameos, if only because I'm sure a lot was being finalized up until the last minute, but I can't imagine they weren't made aware of at least a tentative costume for Wolvie, and added the rumored Deadpool and Colossus, along with some comic figures, to round out the wave. Sorta like some of the other more secretive MCU movies of the past- they do 2 or 3 figures in the first wave, enough to have product on the shelves, and then do a more deep dive down the road. Something tells me we'll still see this first rumored wave mid-ish next week, or at least the following Monday, if they're still (for some silly reason) trying to keep Wolverine's costume a secret.

I mean... the movie literally comes out during ComiCon so there would be NO reason,  if there is a wave of figures associated with the film, not to show them off there, I would think.    Why keep holding them back at that point?   The movie is out.
