Oh, so they ARE doing a new movie Venom, from Let There Be Carnage.
Target exclusive during their geek event
I don't like how the tongue is red. I'll stick with my original. I was never big into the tendril heads anyway.
@tenime same. I actually display mine with the non tongue head anyway. I think I quit reading ASM before the tongue became a thing so I don't go for all that
Eddie has the tongue out on my villains shelf.
The mouth closed head is on a vol. 3 Drax body with clawed black hands & one of Star-Lord's one-barrel pistols (because I gave Quill his double-barrels & helmet) on my heroes shelf with the rest of the Guardians as "Movie Space Venom" lol (but I don't think it's MCU Flash Thompson, because...eh...lol
Got movie Carnage the other day and this is really an impressive figure. Very imposing, and the accessories are incredible. I'm surprised that they went all-in on a figure like this.
We're a month out from Deadpool & Wolverine's release now...
Yeah it's weird lol
Is this where we're discussing the new movie Carnage figure? If so, I got mine today, and so far I'm thinking it's the best Legends figure of the year.
I have the SH Figuarts movie Carnage also, and this one is really close to being as good as that one. The Figuarts has an advantage in that the tendrils are easier to pose via its ball joints as compared to getting a bendy wire to stay in a specific pose. Also with the Figuarts you can swap all of the hands onto the tendrils as well allowing for much wider variety in posing.
Overall I really like both of them though. One issue with both of them is that the tendrils make them so heavy that posing them is quite difficult. The ankles tend to give over time and they both fall a lot.
That's good to know about the falling over! Mine wasn't coming until next week then they emailed me it's arriving tonight. I wasn't sure how I felt about it since I wasn't much of a carnage fan. He debuted after I stopped ASM, but I'm pretty excited for him..especially after your review, thank you.
The pros with the Legends are it has five tendrils whereas the Figuarts has four, plus that huge scythe hand is probably the coolest hand-blade between all that came with both figures. Both Legends claw hands also have a REALLY cool sculpt detail in that there are huge holes in the areas where you know it isn't Kletus Cassady's hands because they're too big to be human. The holes make it look like Carnage is still forming himself to fit onto Kletus in the moment..
Thank you for that comparison pic!
