I haven't gotten that Whiplash either. I recently redid my shelves and made my villain shelf way smaller so now I have room for really only one more non-mutant, non-Dark Avenger, non-Spidey villain. I dunno. Maybe Taskmaster from Thunderbolts? Eh.
But yeah, as far as more versions of character we've already gotten... I'd still take a Thor either from the opening act of Ragnarok or the fuzzy shoulders in L&T, but I can live without that. I'd take Sam in his last Falcon suit, but again can live without it. I would absolutely jump at Endgame Nebula and Rocket still, and the IW War Machine. beyond that though, mutants, street level heroes, and the FF. Speaking of... part of me hopes they don't do a haslab of MCU Galactus because it's a problem I don't want to solve.

Sabretooth, Toad, etc. Also, I'd take Reavers, Apocalypse, Juggernaut, and so on.
Seriously... they could fill 2024 with figures from this movie, especially if they slip in some from the older movies as well.

Well it depends on how much some of those characters are in the movie. If they're in it briefly, then I can live without them. Yeah, it maybe the only shot at them, but I will prioritize the main villain over them cause, as seen by recent trends, probably now or never for them also. I would love for this to get a 2nd wave for some of those characters, but realistically how much would this have to make in order to get one?

@e-rock I get that. My focus has shifted from 'significant movie characters' to 'movie versions of characters I loved in the comics', which is still probably a weird niche. So if they're high on my wishlist, I don't care if they're standing in the back of a massive crowd shot. I want that figure!

Essentially, yeah. 2026 sounds right. MoM got close to a billion, and all we ever got in addition to that wave was Scarlet Witch, and the Illuminati kind of are in this same situation most of the cameo characters are likely to be.

Granted I see the MoM wave at Ollie's a lot, but I think the Illuminati ones would have sold better. Plus, while I aint looking at concept art but many could have just been reuse. Do another Doctor Strange for the evil one with the 3rd eye, literally all reuse but a head. Maria Rambeau would have just been grey Captain Marvel. Agent Carter just needed a less anime style head essentially and maybe some paint changes. Hover chair Charles is already a figure, just do a Patrick Stewart head for it. Only Reed or Black Bolt would have required many new parts. Could have axed them if too much and just added the Wanda they ended up doing and now you have a wave and a deluxe. Maybe could have done a repaint for a Zombie Strange with the demon cape as a BAF. But alas, the wave peg warming prob doomed that idea

Right lol! I def think the Illuminati figures would have sold better at least. The MoM wave made a lot of bad calls. Sleepwalker and D'Spayre are not exactly high demand comic figures. They're cheap peg warming fillers. Translucent Doctor Strange is also pretty much filler. The NWH wave had a superior Doctor Strange figure to the MoM one. Wong is a character I am happy is made, but he's also not exactly a A-list character. Neither is Mordo. And lets not forget about Rintrah and his lack of anyone caring, lol. America Chavez made sense at least. A wave of some of the Illuminati plus Scarlet Witch and a more in demand Strange variant sounds to me like a better selling wave.
Well I definitely agree with all that. The only MOM figure I ended up keeping was America, but I would definitely still get a Captain Carter and probably Black Bolt, Maria and Reed. If I found a Charles for cheap, also a yes heh.

Yeah, seriously. Back in my day, you'd see the figures three or so months before the release date!
