Carnage is a beefy bad boy! He definitely looks really good and the size comparison is quite nice, as others have stated. I'll probably pick him up just because I'm a fan of the character and that's one nice looking fig. I haven't exactly loved either of the Venom movies- they're fun one-time watches for me, but especially the second one was just devoid of nearly any character development, and a lot of what I thought made Carnage fun wasn't even part of the movie- he felt too serious, and I don't remember enough ooey-gooey-ness with his Symbiote (but that could just be because I only saw it the once). But this ain't a movie review forum, I know; it's a darn cool looking figure, and who knows the next time we'll get a live-action Carnage appearance? It'll probably be dependant on the price- I'm sure those extra attachments will drive it up a bit, but I'll probably pick him up.

I'm expecting $50.

Part of me doesn't mind not getting Carnage though as he showed up in the comics JUST before I quit collecting Spider-Man. And he wasn't the last nail or anything but I just wasn't into the series at that point. So I don't have a ton of attachments to him, though he is certainly 'neat'.

Spidey villains are definitely some of my favorites, behind Batman, and I wouldn't say he's even top 5 Spidey villains for me, but I grew up loving the old 90's Spiderman PS1 game, in which he plays a big part, and I loved the way his voice actor played him, so he holds a special place in my heart. Then again, I always have a special place for creepy, psychotic weirdo villains. I think I definitely prefer the comic/animated series Carnage figure, but this'll make a nice addition to the live-action Spidey villain display.

Yeah, I agree on Spidey villains. I have my wishlist, which at this point is really just Hobgoblin. But if they do Prowler, Shocker, Scorpion, Rhino, etc... I wouldn't hesitate. So it's really about building his rogue's gallery on the shelf. The only villain group I expect to rival them in my collection may be for the X-Men.

Speaking of, I fell down the "what would Claremont have done on X-Men had Jim Lee not happened" rabbit hole again this week and I would love if the writers for the mcu mutant stuff either emulate what Claremont had planned, or even get the man himself involved to any degree. Not only would be great to see a version of that somewhere, but the Mutant Wars could absolutely rival the Infinity Saga. But instead of pulling basically every character and team he created over his 16 years on the book into the ultimate battle, it would be the entirety of the MCU at that point.

And another thing, are we not getting any D+ waves this year? ...did we get one already? I can't remember...

So, speaking of make-up waves, another D+ one would make a LOT of sense right now. A few from older shows, but also Echo and Loki? Yellow Daredevil perhaps?

Well, I'll gladly take $40! I was a little on the fence but the price pushed me onto the 'ah, just get it' side.

I got the Figuarts so I am passing on Carnage. I would have bought this last year. Took too long to get him out.

I haven't heard anything about D+ waves outside of the X-Men 97 stuff. One would think there is plenty to do now with Echo and Loki S2 out and having not had figures yet plus all the content from other shows they can still do, but it does seem like in general MCU Legends are not as high a priority as they were in prior years. Not talking from a new content perspective as I get it from a lull in content POV. But this year also isn't seeing make up stuff. Just lazy reissues and such. At least last year we got the NWH wave.

It is what it is

@e-rock Right. Kinda funny how something so massive and pervasive is now just kinda... eh. but I think that's why I'm looking at comic figures that can pass for realistic. Yeah, I'm sure we'll get another Deadpool and yellow suited Wolverine this summer, and Colossus was on the leaked list as well. But my wishlist for mutants is pretty extensive, and I'm not even sure if a) all those will ever appear in the movies, b) the ones in the movies will have costumes I like/am cool with, and of course c) if many of the ones who do appear will ever get figures. Wolverine and Deadpool are no brainers. Storm, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, sure I can see them getting on screen and having figures. But I've got several Alpha Flight members, Thunderbird, Sunfire, etc.

Skipping Carnage is an evolution of my new habit. I skipped the Best of Saga wave with the exception of the one figure I bought, which was Banner. And I won't buy any of them unless I find them at Ollie's or something at this point cause it's just reissues. Even the Mark II is just an unpainted Mark III. They need to start offering more new if they want me to buy this stuff and support those. In the case if Carnage, he looks sweet. But the Figuarts is doing nicely in my display and he's 40 bucks. If they want me to buy their Sony verse figures, make them before competitors do. Ya wait and I may make my purchase elsewhere.

@e-rock I sincerely applaud that. Set your limits and rules, then maintain.

@ru1977 Indeed. I am excited for any new characters the D&W wave will offer, though in the wave proper my guess is Deadpool, Wolverine, and

Spoiler
Cassandra Nova
will be the 3 movie figures. At least, I am banking on it being 3 and since Colossus is a deluxe, also betting comic BAF. But at this point, it will take a lot to get me to buy a Cap, Thor, Black Widow, Spider-Man, etc. Iron Man you could get me on the Silver Centurion armor still, and Hulk I would buy one that's TIH based. But I have literally 2 shelves of nothing but various OG Avengers figures now. I am just done with those guys lol.

I still haven't bought that Whiplash figure the other company made. Keep forgetting about it lol. That and no review I have seen stacks it with the Legends MCU figures. Which is what I want to compare it to

I haven't gotten that Whiplash either. I recently redid my shelves and made my villain shelf way smaller so now I have room for really only one more non-mutant, non-Dark Avenger, non-Spidey villain. I dunno. Maybe Taskmaster from Thunderbolts? Eh.

But yeah, as far as more versions of character we've already gotten... I'd still take a Thor either from the opening act of Ragnarok or the fuzzy shoulders in L&T, but I can live without that. I'd take Sam in his last Falcon suit, but again can live without it. I would absolutely jump at Endgame Nebula and Rocket still, and the IW War Machine. beyond that though, mutants, street level heroes, and the FF. Speaking of... part of me hopes they don't do a haslab of MCU Galactus because it's a problem I don't want to solve.

As far as D&W...

Spoiler
Stuff seen in the Deadpool & Wolverine trailers, but some of it you really have to look hard to see

I can live without Cassandra, but if this is the only shot I'll get at a figure of people like Deathstrike, then please please do her* as well. Sabretooth, Toad, etc. Also, I'd take Reavers, Apocalypse, Juggernaut, and so on.

Seriously... they could fill 2024 with figures from this movie, especially if they slip in some from the older movies as well.

*Uh huh huh huh

He's still available most other places since he's not a Pulse exclusive.  Here's the Amazon link:

I'm not just pasting into the message because WordPress tries to render an embedded version of Amazon items that used to work a few months ago but fails now.
