Always happy to thump for Endgame Nebula and Rocket outfits again.
Sorry, wrong franchise.
I still have a few on my list but the only ones I feel are kinda likely are characters that have been done, like Smithsonian Cap, War Machine mk 4, the aforementioned Nebula and Rocket, and Sam's final Falcon suit from the F&WS show. Echo and Electro are on my list as well, but stuff like Destroyer and Kurse I'm crossing off just for lack of faith. but that's cool, looking forward now to mutants and the first family.
Until proven otherwise, my faith in the Saga line is low. Just an excuse to do some repaints. I hope that changes, but it is what it is.
Based on rumors/leaks that may be untrue about Captain America 4:
I guess we aren't getting any MCU Serpent Society figures as supposedly they've been removed from the film.
Think I've seen every one of the Saga figures at Target except Bruce. Probably for the best, as he's the only one I'm really tempted by, but the price point is a toughie considering he doesn't come with anything.
I know it's been answered a bajillion times, so my apologies, but is the Spidey Civil War figure any different from ones we've gotten in the past? Or is it basically just a slightly updated version of the old Homecoming figure? Is the articulation at least any better? I'm too lazy to look up video reviews, and I've barely seen any photos of the figures in-hand.
Someone will obviously correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that Spider-Man isn't even the Homecoming version but a straight repaint of the original Civil War figure released with the battle damaged Iron Man and Cap figures, now with Tom head.
@ru1977 You know, you're probably right. I'd completely forgotten that that figure was a thing. Well, shoot. Now I might need it. Spidey is one of my few MCU exceptions, where I allow myself one of each suit. If it's a noticable difference between CW and Homecoming, I may have to snag it.
Well I guess I have to ask what you mean by differences. In the figure or on screen? Again, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the suit in Homecoming is still the same one Tony gave him in Civil War, so if you have the Homecoming figure I'd feel you're good. The figures definitely have differences though.
Either way, I definitely get having one or two (even three) characters that are exceptions, and Spider-Man is one of mine as well. If they do do (uh huh huh) a symbiote version in the MCU, that may be my final Spidey though.
There is a new Jinx figure from the Joe Classified line that I'm really tempted to get and put an Elektra head on. I'd really like a Netflix Elektra with a more ninja-y costume.
I posted some Born Again set pics over in the movie and tv section, but of course I want figures!
@ru1977 I NEED that new DD suit. I really loved his look in She-Hulk too though, so I'm hoping that sees the light of day at some point (and really hoping it's not on the same old netflix figure body if it is actually made)
Yeah, after those pics I feel a whole new figure is necessary, but either way I'm not getting a straight repacks of that Netflix figure. And a She Hulk repaint seems like a given.
We're a year and a half out from his She-Hulk appearance - I don't think it's a given. I feel like Hasbro thinks Warrior Gamora, D+ Wanda, NWH Matt all fill the spot for those characters in more recent media - but they don't!
I do find it quite odd at this point that Hasbro has not released ANY Loki S2 or Echo stuff - not even a tease. Ironically, two full X97 waves may be on sale before the two shows that ended up airing first.
Also, please be respectful of spoilers and those who don't want to know them whether the information or photos are well-known in some circles or not. Super Bowl trailer talk? Sure. Leak photos/casting/info from credible sources/characters cut or added? Please not without a clear spoiler tag.
Born Again is certainly going to get D+ figures when it comes out. Probably will be the main focus of whatever wave thar is at the time
Hasbro has always been a bit weird when it comes to Disney+ stuff, and I'm sure part of that is on Disney/Marvel themselves. They're needlessly and overly secret with some things, which leads to things getting delayed. Like one of the earlier waves- I think it was the Moon Knight wave- where everything was getting revealed one by one because of their shows airing, so it was, what, like a year or more from the first reveal by the time the wave itself was out? But I also think either pics of the figures had leaked, or we knew what the designs of the costumes were- something like that- so it was kinda silly not to show them off. But I'm sure Disney/Marvel had some silly rules in store.
Methinks something similar may have happened with whatever recent figures too. I'm sure Marvel was just as, if not more secretive with Loki s2 and such and maybe even withheld designs from Hasbro, like they supposedly did with NWH (which, one could argue, was deserving of the secrecy, even if it was the worst kept secret in Hollywood). If they did withhold designs, it would mean that Hasbro's gotta play catch-up a bit. Especially if their plans included a Victor Timely (which something tells me they did), I'm sure there's some scrambling to come up with an alternative figure to take his place, which may be taking time. The Marvel team doesn't do the Pipeline reveals like the Star Wars team does, I don't think, so I'm sure they don't want to show anything off until they have a full wave more or less approved and ready to go. Fingers crossed they'll have something to show soon.
@schizm I definitely understand and respect those that don’t want to know spoilers, but in a universe where 95% of the time the title characters wears a new suit in every new appearance, I don’t see where anything said here could be considered a spoiler. If something like “Thanos is in the new daredevil show and he has a new suit!” was said I’d get it, but I don’t see any spoilers here.
