Now I really need these guys and Baldar. Actually add Sif to that. I have the TRU one, but I know they can do better, now.

I can't agree with this strongly enough. Despite the gorgeous Odin figure, Thor's corner of the MU remains tragically neglected. And the lack of longtime supporting characters/co-stars like Balder, Skurge, and the Warriors Three, remains an insult. And I'd happily take another Sif if they want to do one, even that Fan Vote repaint would be welcome. I'm never going to say "No" to a comic Asgardian figure.

At the very least, the comic version of Skurge should have been made close to his MCU cinematic appearance and/or with any of the Enchantresses that have been made. After 20+ years of ML, there is no legit reason one of Thor's top 5 enemies, plus a crucial member of varios villainous groups such as the Masters of Evil hasn't been made yet. If Hasbro's research team if holding Skurge back because the Marvel Universe 2-pack version didn't sell well years ago, they need to do better research.

Yeah, i forgot to add Skurge to my list. He's been in my top 10 for probably a decade.

I haven't been able to put Odin down. I just absolutely love the guy. No helmet for casually walking the halls. Horned helmet for battle. Ornate helmet for Asgardian events. He's worth every penny.

On the other spectrum.... I receive Lockjaw and Crystal today. Crystal is great, and I love the Head sculpts and new effects, but she is essentially just a basic body.

Lockjaw... he just doesn't cut it. I HATE how the sitting back legs are impossible to really get a proper sitting pose with paws flat down when that was supposedly the entire purpose of making them instead of adding articulation. No front leg articulation means he can't lean forward in the "downward doggie" pose.

I really wish I'd cancelled this like I planned and waited for the inevitable sale. Also, and this is just my preference, I really don't like how he just looks like a dog with an antannea stuck in his head. I really prefer the OG face from the 70's or so. With a face plate swap, seems like they could have made both classic and modern people happier by doing both.

As much as Odin is Hasbro at their best, Lockjaw is just the opposite imo.

Hulkbuster Armor Iron Man is outstanding! Love all the detail in this massive sculpt. Really nice articulation and range of motion which is all the more impressive given this armor’s size. This Hulkbuster is so versatile as well since it could be used to fight Hulk but also it was a rogue drone suit that fought the Avengers, too.

Finally got to play around with Odin and man this is a hefty figure. Good range in the torso.

Now give me a simonson Thor and Loki 2-pack. Do it.

Don't forget Heimdall!  I always preferred his look to most of the others on Asgard.  Get a Coipel Thor update and his rendition of Heimdall.  I think that stuff is on their radar, Odin is way too good to be largely by himself.

The Hasbro team seems to struggle a bit more the farther they get from a standard human action figure I feel. Not entirely of course (MODOK and Mojo say hi), but I am still baffled that the line, after nearly 15 years at Hasbro, has basically only expanded to individual vehicles (cycles, etc) and a couple of animals which were OK. I can't tell if they are just very conservative in brand expansion, or if retail balks at it, or what. But the total lack of environments, horses, small vehicles like cars seems like a missed opportunity - but maybe they have the market research to support sticking to a fairly narrow range.

You set me up for disappointment and I think I gotta disagree. Despite the lack of elbow and knee joints, I can still get decent poses out of Lockjaw. He can def do downward dog. Elbows don’t need to bend for that. The inability to flatten his hind seated paws isn’t a big deal either. My dog sometimes sits with his hind feed doing weird things. Do I wish he had elbows and knees? I surely do. But it isn’t a total loss either. I do also wish he had more range of mtion in the neck and a moving jaw. I’m pretty happy with him, not 100% winner, but I’m not totally disappointed the way you seem to be.

Crystal is gorgeous and just brings light to the fact that it took too much time to add figures to the Inhumans roster. It's been what, a decade since Blackbolt and Medusa came out? They are on such dated bodies. Strangely, Karnak didn't come out more than a year ago, and he's on the most dated looking body of all of them! Meanwhile, you've got Crystal, with a unique lower torso, two beautiful heads, leading the charge on quality for the royal family. It just doesn't line up. I hope they don't wait too long to make Gorgon and Triton.

Odin is awesome! Limited? Sure. I remember the McFarlane Odin figure they made. Or was he Zeus? I’m a little fuzzy. So I have a notion of that figure. This figure is Odin from the books. I can’t get over all the the sculpt and the colors and the options. It’s worth every dollar.

Thwipp!

This figure is Odin from the books.

Shartimus says he asked Dwight if their reference was the 2008 Bowen Odin statue pictured below and that he confirmed it was.  Not sure if Bowen had a reference, but he often does his own stylized versions of characters.

Shartimus also showed four or five comic references in his review that were similar to this design, but none were as close as the Bowen statue.

With the arrival of Odin and Hulkbuster, are there any other sets from this subline that have yet to be released? I can't remember what else was announced. So far we have:

Superior Spider-Man

Astonishing Wolverine

Warbird

Luke Cage and Iron Fist

Retro carded Venom

Skaar

Iron Patriot, Dr Doom, Taskmaster

Ghost Rider

Odin

Hulkbuster

And then I keep confusing some of these items that were announced/released around the same time, that are NOT part of the 85th anniversary subline:

Dr Strange and Wong

Phoenix

Crystal and Lockjaw

Nick Fury, Dum Dum Dugan, Sharon Carter

FF Spider-Man and Wolverine

Am I missing anything or confusing anything?

Phoenix was definitely part of the 85th Celebration -  and I don't have her yet.

Crystal and Lockjaw were not (I'm pretty sure),  those also haven't been delivered to me yet.

Strange/Wong and the SHIELD 3-pack were not part of the 85th celebration .    FF Spidey and Wolvie were not.
