Same. The savings were too good. I canceled Ghost Rider, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, and Wolverine and ordered them along with the Wolverine/Spidey Fantastic Four two pack from Gamestop and it's still sitting there in my order history as in progress, but I only ordered on Friday so I'm not sure if they work weekends at the fulfillment center or not.
@justice Yeah, I never cancel on a smaller store but have no worries canceling on Amazon... but having milllllld trust issues with GS that maybe they didn't have everything they said they did. I'm splitting my worry between "should I NOT have canceled the f4 set" and "I really SHOULD cancel Ketch before I get charged..."
Amazon shipped Power Man and Iron Fist this morning about two weeks earlier than I expected.
@docsilence well lo and behold GameStop shipped all of my figures this morning so maybe yours aren't far behind.
@justice Ha, just logged in to make the same comment. GS sent the rest of the two-packs this morning.
I'm such an easy mark for repaints of Spidey and Logan - you'd think eventually there would be more than enough Spider-Man or Wolverine action figures but every repaint I'm like "... yeah, gimme." Really looking forward to the F4 versions.
I find that Amazon is one of the more difficult online retailers to return things to. They make me go to Whole Foods now.

Staples is my nearest place and it seems like they don't want items returned in a shipping box anymore. I used to be able to print a UPS label, now it's a QR code for Staples to scan and slap a label on the item's packaging. That means I have to share what I'm buying/returning, unless I can specifically say I want the shipping box to stay closed. But I suppose they could then open and toss the box when I leave the store.
I'm sure Amazon is having drop off spots to save on shipping costs. I don't find it that inconvenient to drop off at Whole Foods since there's one about a mile away from work. I get my refunds a lot faster than shipping a box and waiting and hoping they receive it.
I was thinking more of a privacy issue at Staples because they asked if they could open the Amazon shipping box to save space in their area. Prior to that returns were handled in the Copy center with the usual UPS dropoffs.
Anyways, Amazon sent a shipping notice for Iron Fist/Luke this morning at 5am and they already delivered this afternoon.
Same ... Luke and Danny are supposed to be in my hands tomorrow from Amazon.
Likewise. Mine are due tomorrow as well.
Some thoughts on Superior Spider-Man, Luke Cage & Iron Fist, and Ghost Rider.
Superior Spidey is quite nice. It's a new head and torso with limbs from RYV Spidey, from what I can tell. The new torso only has a waist swivel and ab hinge. My guess is that this accommodates the three-peg backpack for his Waldo arms. He also has a standard neck hinge, but the way the head is sculpted, or the way the head socket is positioned, when he hinges up, his jawline and chin pull in too close to the neck. It's weird and hard to explain with just words. But I haven't taken any pics. Aside from that, I really like the silhouette. The Waldos are nice but may be a little soft. Still feels early to tell whether they will wilt over time. I haven't tried balancing him on just the mech arms. He includes pairs of fists, thwipps, and clawed hands, two heads (one with city reflections in the eyes), and two backpacks (one with no holes for the mech arms). The price for all this makes sense. It is a really nice execution of this version of Spider-Man.
The Heroes For Hire finally have worthwhile figures. Luke is pretty much perfect. He has a powerhouse silhouette, good height and mass, two great portraits (one neutral-ish, one screaming). The only minus for me is that he doesn't come with fists that aren't wearing the brass knuckles. It's a cute idea, but not something I'd want to display permanently. So I went with the open right hand and grip left. I wouldn't be opposed to finding other ways to accessorize this modern Luke, maybe a beanie, sunglasses, silver bracers, chain belt, gold chain around his neck, but none of these are really necessary. I've really enjoyed his everyman costume over the modern era. It works for his character.
Iron Fist is great. He has the RYV articulation pattern, but a new torso with the raised collar and sculpted seams on the opening of his costume. He poses great, and comes with the same hands that the white version came with all those years ago, and an alternate screaming head. It IS a little weird how wide his costume opens, but this costume in general is a weird one. I don't think I ever really noticed that it just looks like a shrunken leotard with pants and sleeves that are too short, like it was in the dryer for too long, or was meant for a child. Still, so good to have a classic Iron Fist update finally, and he looks stellar with classic Power Man. Even their yellows match.
Ghost Rider is fantastic. Looks like 100% new sculpt, besides the head, though I haven't compared it with other GR heads. He comes with grip hands and an open left and right fist. He fits well on the bike. The bike needs some minor assembly, the handlebars must be plugged in, the "shield" slides into the front, and foot bars(?) have two different slots they plug into on the undercarriage. There are two flame trails, one meant for the front, and one for the rear. There's an extra flame meant to prop the center of the bike up so it is popping a wheelie on its rear wheel. That's a really nice touch for this, but I'm not sure how stable it will stay in time.
85 years is a strange one to commemorate, but so far, these figures really don't feel like they've been skimping. They all feel new and fresh, or the reuse feels appropriate. There is nary a knee or elbow pin in sight. I believe Skaar is coming next, as Pulse has sent notice that they're charging for him soon. Maybe I'll get lucky and come across Warbird in person, as I missed out on the preorder. I'm really looking forward to Odin. So far, everything's been a winner.
Since I'm trying to limit my MLs, keeping this new Luke Cage wasn't a guarantee until I got him in hand.
Wasn't planning on picking up GR, as I don't typically collect vehicles, but I couldn't pass it up. Glad I did. It's a terrific piece. I say piece, singular, because the figure and the bike with flame effects blend together so perfectly, it feels like a gallery PVC statue when displayed. Very impressed!
