I was able to order Ghost Rider and the Luke Cage and Iron Fist 2-pack on the Gamestop website, they should arrive by the 16th of this month.
Good looking out, Wummyhulk! Late to the party but managed to get Wolverine and GR! Most wanted anyway and the others I have PO'd between Amazon and BBTS.
Has it been observed yet that Rogue probably has a solid torso like HoX Marvel Girl and ‘97 Jean Grey? I don’t see a diaphragm pivot. All new sculpt, but loss of articulation.
Yep. Hasbro's been heading in the right direction with articulation. These torsos feel like a huge step backward.
Completely agree. Same with Wonder and Power Man. Sure, it keeps a seamless torso - but since when has unbroken sculpts been the primary goal of ML? Wonder Man especially would have been easy to accommodate torso articulation - Power Man I kind of get, though I still would have preferred something different to what we got. Jean and Rogue have no real reason to have the solid torsos as far as I can tell. Not a fan of this development.
This was mentioned in regards to She-Hulk in another thread, but I'd also like to see them move to always including both waist and torso articulation on female figures. She-Hulk, Power Princess, and Namorita I've opened recently - beautiful figures in their own right, but very limited in the torso articulation with no movement at the waist. The "superarticulated" BW body just needs to become the standard - proper torso articulation and butterfly joints being the most inconsistent POAs across the line.

That kind of articulation can be much better. The engineering is terrible.

Same thing with the double barbells in the necks that suck, if they did those right, there would be WAY more articulation than any ball hinge.
With the females, the waist hinge will always be ugly. If you noticed, they are only using that on characters that have a belt to hide it. It would really be better to use a double ball joint, one on the waist and the other on the torso, if they knew how to execute it properly of course.
Crap, I saw Preternia’s tweet about Ghost Rider a day too late. Would’ve been nice to grab him for 40% off and finally grab that Lilandra 2 pack.

I have no doubt it can be improved (might try that mod myself) but I'll always want some sort of mid-torso articulation, even if it breaks up the sculpt. Again though, I completely get why it was chosen for Power Man with the way his shirt works - Wonder Man I don't think it makes sense.
Also down for double barbells if they go that way - anything that gets a similar effect is fine by me. I have no doubt they could execute them well if they started doing it.
A torso similar to GI Joe classified Roadblock within the shirt piece for Power Man would have much improved his posing fun factor and still maintained a degree of sculpt lines in the shirt while hiding a lot of the crunch lines in his torso, so I’ll always consider him a half-assed figure that we were being gaslit into thinking was better than he is by the marketing team, especially since they also f’ed up by not making his boots swivel when he actually has boots whereas they constantly ruin the sculpt of figures who don’t have belts or boots by just adding a slice right through a non-circular cross section.
I got my Iron Fist & Luke Cage set and I’m calling Luke officially done as I after buying and selling on the Hyperion body version, the Netflix version, and the 70’s disco version, I finally have the one and only version of the character I’ve ever wanted or needed. The only thing I’d change is perhaps another head with shades and beanie, and another set of hands so he can grip a weapon with his right and grapple with his left, but oh boy is he near perfect.
Danny feels like the half-assed one here as though the articulation and heads are great upgrades, he really should have come with alternate forearms and swappable wraps and fists like the previous version on the pizza spidery body so I’m going to have to see what customs potential there is to rework that
Got in an astonishing Wolverine today. Sculpt’s really great all around and the figure really looks incredible. Like the new torso articulation, but just like anybody else I’m not big on how limited the range on the ball neck joint is. Outside of that he’s basically hitting all marks, and the claws are easily the best ones Hasbro has made.
I wish Marvel just went with Cassaday’s simplified design for the AXM figures. All they would’ve needed to do was not add in the boot/glove squares and make the belt buckle gold. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a single era’s costume drawn so inconsistently. Almost no regular artists at the time seemed to wholly agree on how to draw it and JRJR may have been the only one keeping all the details.
I think the exact design that went into this figure may have never made it into the comics and was just a compromise on all existing designs done for a Bowen statue.
Unsurprisingly, and completely without warning, Amazon charged me for the Heroes for Hire 2-pack today, a full week before it was supposed to be released.
REALLY getting tired of Hasbro and everyone else pissing on release dates and screwing our budget planning.
I feel like within a week of the ETA is pretty damn good. The only site I know that sticks more rigidly to release dates is Pulse itself. They seem to be pretty on point with their ship dates, and if they change them they give a decent heads up before charging.
Received my preordered Superior(s) and in stock orders of Ketch, Rand & Cage from GameStop. The latter two sets included the BOGO 40% off sale, so that’s pretty great.
I wish the Cabal set or Hulkbuster would ship early. Those are my most anticipated!
Damn, I'm in action figure hell! So my second Wolverine shipped from Amazon and is out for delivery now while the first was lost in MN. Now my GS order or Wolverine and GR got held up in the system but I'll have it in 3-5 days. BS, they're sold out. I don't know what I did to piss off the action figure gods but this is getting into statistically ridiculous levels. I guess inventory tracking is a lost art these days. I think Amazon will come through on GR here soon anyway. I hate GS.
Every couple of years I get ambitious and/or impatient and try to change my preorders and I end up screwing everything up and I think I did that with the Gamestop sale. I don't really care WHEN I get them, I just wanted the discount and Amazon kept shifting the dates around so I figured what the heck, 40% off every other figure? But all but two figures got held up by Gamestop shipping, so now I'm worried I canceled the F4 Wolverine and Spider-Man and shouldn't have. I haven't canceled Ketch yet from Amazon because he's sold out but I'm worried I'll get charged before GS actually ships him. I did cancel Danny and Luke so I could save some money with GS but no shipping notice yet, though they're not looking like a sellout so I'm not worried there. Mostly the other two.
Amazon also shipped two Joes before I had time to cancel them so I'll end up with a couple of dupes in that line. GS shipping is so quirky - I ordered like four two packs and eight figure and they shipped two individual figures so far. But like I said, not worried about WHEN, just worried about canceling GR and having both orders then fall through.
