Maybe it was a light year, but the releases and announcements were all pretty great.
Annihilus is basically the last great character Kirby would "give" to Marvel. Next few years he witheld all his creations from Lee and Goodman. Imagine if the 4th World storylines were brought into the Marvel Universe. All Marvel had to do was cut Kirby in a little on all the licensing.
@msword Sweet. Can't wait to finally put my TB SMC Hobgoblin to rest after all these years.
Hello! Does anyone know if War Machine is still due for release this month?
Unlikely. I think he's coming after Archangel and Annihilus, and both of those are delayed.Hello! Does anyone know if War Machine is still due for release this month?
Got an email from Amazon saying they cancelled my order for Archangel due to "lack of availability". Had this ordered since day 1.
I keep popping in here hoping for a positive update on Annihilus. Sadly... 🙁
Damn. I hope that isn't the case for Annihilus, too. I ordered him at Amazon to use up an old gift card.

I'm not sure what the deal is with Amazon and DST, but this seems to be a recurring theme. Every single Invincible figure I've ordered from Amazon, across multiple waves, for an Amazon show no less, has been canceled for the same reason. I don't even bother ordering Invincible figures from Amazon anymore. I realize Amazon cancels other things as well, but it seems to be more consistent with DST.
Diamond seems to be in a bad way right now, in general. My local comic book owner told me that they basically can't tell him when or if he'll be receiving a lot of his orders from them for last month and this month. The story that I was told was that they sold a warehouse and basically misplaced everything. He was told they were working though the Thanksgiving holiday weekend to fix it, but it's still not resolved even now. After being nearly a monopoly for so long as a supplier to comic shops, I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if they were out of business before long. I know that my local owner used to only be able to order through them but now only places like one-third of his orders through them and it's usually just the stuff that only they have.
In terms of figures, I've always bought all of my Diamond stuff (Marvel Select, Invincible, more) through BBTS and although they're ALWAYS far later than the original estimated release date, I've never had one cancelled. I've got Annihilus, Rex Splode and 2 Mauler Twins pre-ordered right now but their estimated release dates seem to get pushed back every month.
