Still waiting on Entertainment Earth to get Cap in...

Good news for anyone that ordered from EE: they're in. Mine finally shipped. πŸ™‚

DST has had a fun photo contest happening the last week or so. Zach has been sharing some entries on social. Even the latest Cap and Dynamo have made it into photos already. Great stuff.

@normdapito I just saw an entry on Twitter where somebody cut apart Mr Fantastic's 'pencil holder' looking stretchy effect apart & had him wrapped around Thanos.Β  It was such an improvement on the effect IMO!

Anyone that has gotten Cap-a figure I absolutely love-have your knee joints gotten really loose? Mine has and it isΒ  getting hard to have him just stand straight up without eventually falling over because his knees buckle sadly. Just curious if anyone else has the same problem. If mine is an odd occurrence I might take a chance on a 2nd one in hopes of better knee joints.Β

I finallyΒ  found a way to get Cap to stand normally without falling over because of the knee and hip looseness, thankfully. Just had to swivel the hips and feet some. That aside such a great, fun figure. Trying to decide what one I might get next. I would love the Taskmaster but since he was an exclusive I'm not sure I want to pay $50-60 dollars for him on the aftermarket. I might get Silver Centurion Iron Man. I love all the accessories he comes with or maybe Vision for the same reason. I won't probably go deep into Selects because I love my Marvel Legends but I like having Marvel figures I can stand with McFarlane DC figures for "crossovers".

@basil-elks Not until the end of the year, maybe even next year depending on changes in release schedule.

BBTS says September. I have no idea how accurate that is.

Silver Centurion is another one of the greatest of all time Selects imo, great choice. The candy apple red paint on it is beautiful, photos don't even do it justice.

There are techniques for fixing loose joints btw. I wanna say it's floor polish they usually use? Not sureβ€”haven't done it myself yet. Shame yours came out of the box like that. That's definitely not normal for Selects in my experience. If anything, usually the joints are *too* tight and require some heating.

I have spent $30 for Captain America for the clever shield with the swappable strap options. I’m giving the shield to my Legends Cap. I’m sure my son will get the figure. He has several Caps.

Thwipp!

Oh hey, I didn't know the forum was back up. It kind of sounded like they were just going to give up on it over on the Discord, so I stopped checking for a while.

Anywho, the forum went down the day I got my Cap and I never got to gush about how awesome it is!! Definitely one of the all time greatest Selects. Now I'm starving for the next release. Fortunately I will have the reissued Gamerverse Spider-Man to tide me over until the next truly new figure starts shipping.

If this had been Kl'rt, THE Super Skrull, that figure would never have made it to clearance. As is, I bought a second copy of this Illuminati Skrull and I still haven't opened it because I really don't need more than one in my display. I wish this had more swappable parts or didn't such specific sculpt qualities. Otherwise, $10 Super Skrulls would be an absolute steal.
