War Machine looks great!   My only "concern" is...do the forearms(weapons) rotate, so the guns can be on top of the forearms?  The ML didn't do so, and it somewhat limits posing options for firing those weapons.

Looks like he's got swivel hinge elbows so rotating the lower arm for posing shouldn't be a problem.

The new X-Men animation has started. I hope DST will make a professor.

Has Diamond Select already done some Jim Lee X-Men?

I just finished the first two episodes of X-Men '97 and I'd be down for Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm and Beast!

Professor X would be a great one for DST to tackle!

Psylocke, Rogue and upcoming Archangel, then there are Iceman, Gambit, Beast, Colossus and Nightcrawler who have the same 90s era costumes but aren't strictly Lee artwork inspired. There's also a Tigerstripe Wolverine but it's a very old figure in dire need of redo so the less said about it, the better.

On the villains side Apcalypse, Sabretooth, Colossus and Magneto (who's also an older figure that would benefit from being remade).

I think that's every X-Figure we could call Jim Lee inspired.

I realize that the flame and the blast effects came from Boba Fett and Vision.

Saw pics of the new Captain America on IG and he looks perfect. Can’t wait to add him.

Oh yeah, true. The third one looks like it's from Vision as well. I think it's smart reuse—I couldn't recognize them outside of their original context.

Is the flame effect the mysterious additional accessory? I don't remember seeing it in the Shartimus reveal.

No interest in that War Machine from me but I would have been a Day 1 pre-order if they had made that Weapon H a figure instead of a $250 statue. That would have been a perfect character for the Marvel Select figure line, in my opinion.

I completely agree about Weapon H. It's a goofy concept from the comics, but now that he exists I want a figure of him - and Select would knock it out of the park.

War Machine looks incredible - Select has been knocking the Iron Man universe characters out of the park. Some classic IM armors are inevitable at this point, but I'm more interested in more villains. Who's next? Titanium Man II, Iron Monger, Arsenal, Firepower - even Detroit Steel would make for a great figure from Select.

Picked up Crimson Dynamo from a LCS today, and boy oh boy, there are some potent fumes in that package. Must be from all the GORGEOUS metallic paints. That's definitely the "high" point of this figure. The sculpt is also outstanding. Comes with a bunch of alternate hands, pair of fists, pair of grips, pair of open hands and pair of blast hands with effect permanently attached, as well as three face plates, one with effect permanently attached, and the excellent unmasked head. I'll be leaving the faceplate with the V-shaped visor on. Articulation is great, though the elbows and knees have very limited range. The shoulder armor rotates with the arms, so that's pretty awesome. Another outstanding entry from Select. They are doing some of their BEST work these days.

Unexpectedly found Crimson Dynamo and Cap at a comic store in NYC on Friday. All I have to say is, wow! Marvel Select has really upped its game and is offering better figures at a better value than Hasbro.

Both of these figures are fantastic. Also, love that each is multiple versions of the character. I’m getting at least a second Cap.

I only used to buy Marvel Select X-Men figures (which I will basically buy from any toy line) and the occasional figure of a larger, BAF-sized figure Hasbro hasn’t made before to fudge into my display. However, starting a few years ago around when they did the Rampaging Hulk figure, it’s been awesome figure after awesome figure worthy of their own collection and not just to supplement Legends.

I saw that Cap and it looked nice. Passed on that, but I had to get the Crimson Dynamo.

2 interchangeable heads, 1 with 3 face plates

4 pairs of hands, 1 pair of which has massive effects

Consistently appealing box and box art

$30

I assume this is for a flight stand?

The only thing im thinking of improving is the elbow range. The left one seems to have more but my right only goes this much

Overall, my initial worry were the paint flaking like the ones on Titanium Man but there is none one this one. Killer Paint job too even as mono as it is. We need that Iron Man DST!

Thanks for the review and cool shots, Ajax! Crimson Dynamo looks great! Dynamo seems capable of dynamic poses, but those elbows and knees sure look limited. I still want a Legends version, too

I went hunting for Dynamo, but I wasn’t able to find him. I have a few on order.
