I totally get not wanting to spend the extra money on this figure. Hell, I'd cut half the accessories if it meant saving $10 or $15.
That said, if folks don't support this line at full price, it'll end. Hasbro will put out the Spidey, Hulk, and Deadpool they have planned and never try something like this again.
All you can do is vote with your wallet. If you see the value and have the money, go for it. If not, don't. But don't be surprised if this line ends if Spidey is on sale in two months.
Honestly, if this Spidey costs $50, then I’m perfectly fine with the line ending. Hasbro is really pushing higher and higher prices in two of the primary lines I collect, Transformers and Marvel Legends, and I’m not thrilled with that.
This is turning into a real spectator sport. I'm hoping for mystery prices more often. "The big reveal" is Thursday? Ugh, I'm working from 7am to roughly 8pm that day. Not going to be a fun one. If Hasbro's playing fair this is no more than $35, but I'm not expecting anything that low and I don't think anyone else is either.
Amazon leak has him for $65.
The "B.S./ushuldnobetter" in the link is a kindness, so only the truly inattentive get caught 😉
@panthercult I hadn't done one of those in awhile, and it seemed like a good time. 😆 I do try to help those that pay attention. 😜
I'm personally predicting $40-$45
The mexico leak had him listed around the same pesos as Man-Thing, therefore he should be about the same as man-thing here.
The $60/$65 leak stemmed from the advertisement of the mexican price, which directly does translate to that price in USD, however, Mexico has something like a 21-22% mark up on what we pay for legends.
if he's over that, then i'd hope its to just stream line the line... so that Hulk will be the same price as well (because i think we all assume he will be more than spidey's price)
As we deliberate the cost of this thing note that Trump has the new tariffs in place for Chinese goods, so in all likelihood we're going to see a new price point for standard Legends very, very soon. If memory serves the new tariff is 10%, and if Hasbro directly responds to it like they did back in 2019 when Trump was last threatening a 10% tariff then the new price point will be $27.50.
But they could easily make it something like $30. We'll see, but if we do get a newer base level price point I'd bet quite a bit we're not seeing this Maximum line priced anywhere under $45, and $50 is FAR more likely. I don't have much opinion yet because I can't tell how much re-engineering they did with the body. I know they're saying it's all new sculpt, but that doesn't mean they didn't start with something like the RYV design and tweak it. There might be SOME re-used parts like joints, feet, hands, hips, torso, etc--or perhaps not, we'll see. Until I see reviews I won't have much of a specific opinion about what the price point should be.
The price will be 49.99 according to a response to a question on this post:
Sounds like Hasbro confirmed $49.99 US. $72.99 in Canada now sounds correct.
I really should have hit refresh before posting.
Nailed it back on 1/19 - I knew Hasbro wouldn't let me down... 🙄
I honestly think anyone believing Spider-Man will be less than $50 is kidding themselves. Phoenix is just a deluxe and costs $50. She comes with 1 extra head, 1 extra set of hands, and the Phoenix base. MCU Colossus costs $40. 1 extra head and set of hands. This Spider-Man has a ton more accessories. 6 pair of hands, 5 of which have articulated wrists, 3 heads, 5 web accessories, spider sense, stand... yeah, he's more than likely going for $50. I'm hoping not more.

@enigmaticclarity It came from the actual Hasbro Pulse account who made the post.

just saw that as well. not exactly a thrilling price, especially when they could have (should have) also included things like the mask accessory for him to hold (like the animated figure came with) and a web back-pack would have been nice. This doesn't feel like a $50 itemThe price will be 49.99 according to a response to a question on this post:
Hoping it's to offset the price of Hulk? and that Hulk won't be like $70/$80
Yup, expected that. I'll just stick with the RYV Spidey.
