Question--did Kaecilius and his allies become Mindless Ones in the first Doctor Strange movie, and if so how do we know that? I didn't know at all that's what might be happening to them, but I heard MCUCollector24 say that's what happened to them in his review of the Mindless One BAF and am looking for more info about it.
I re-watched the scene where Kaecilius and friends went to the Dark Dimension at the end of the film, but I didn't see any explicit indication that they were turning into Mindless Ones. Strange said they weren't going to like the immortality Dormammu offered them, but I never got a clear sense for what their fate would be. Visually whatever they turned into didn't look much like this Mindless One from the comics.
For anyone who wants Mindless One I wouldn't put a ton of stock into Dwight's musings about what may end up being offered in the future unless he makes it clear he already knows because it's already in the plans. He has a lot more input than we do into the process, but it's mostly Ryan Ting and Jesse Falcon who decide what gets made. Whenever Dwight says Mindless One would be a great deluxe figure, or that maybe we'll eventually offer you the screaming Siryn head that we sculpted but didn't give you--which I'm sure made Ryan Ting's eyes roll almost completely up into his forehead permanently that Dwight actually said that out loud--that's just him speculating pretty much like we do here.
Is there evidence of this? I've always gotten the sense that everyone on the Marvel team has input. They've said on stream that Dan pushed for the Spider-Man TAS line.

Both what you said and what I said are correct--which I also said in the first half of the sentence you bolded. Everyone has input, but Ryan decides. The evidence is across multiple streams based upon comments from Dwight and Dan both deferring to Ryan, or saying that they don't want to get chewed out by Ryan. Dan sometimes calls Ryan "boss" and I think Dwight has referred to him that way as well, although I may be remembering that wrong about Dwight calling him that. Certainly Dwight has explicitly said before he doesn't want to mis-speak and have Ryan chew him out.
Jesse has more input because he's their primary customer. He works for and manages Hasbro's handling of the brand, and they regularly point out that they work closely with him throughout work weeks. My guess is that Jesse also manages other companies who make Marvel merchandise, but I've never heard confirmation of that in any stream.
Without someone explicitly saying otherwise, I've always taken that to mean that Ryan is just more tuned in to the fact that everything requires approval and more sensitive to speaking off the cuff on anything that isn't officially announced, and Dwight is more loose-lipped - not necessarily that he is the final/only decision-maker on the team.

Dwight is DEFINITELY the most loose-lipped, and it's certainly possible that multiple team members just act as a committee when it comes to character selection.
I've long assumed Ryan has the final say because he's definitely the one that decides when things come out and in which waves they come out; Dwight has said that many times. I also recall Shartimus asking Ryan years ago what recent decision he regretted the most, and he said it was deciding to double-pack Gwenpool in the Lizard wave instead of Mysterio. Shartimus also asked Dwight that the same day and Dwight said something about some figure's design that I now forget. Ryan also acts like the leader, and Dwight and Dan regularly defer to him, although that could all be Ryan's personality rather than the organizational structure. Ryan starts, finishes, and tends to speak the most in every stream I've seen him in, but again that could just be him being the best public speaker and they defer to him due to that. So no, I'm not sure he has the final say--along with Jesse since he's the customer--but if I were betting I'd say he does have the final say. It's an educated guess based upon everything Ryan and Dwight have said over the years--although I still do remember Dwight calling Ryan "boss" at some point, my memory is telling it he said that from his house while they were all working remotely during Covid. But again I could be remembering that wrong; I'd have to search multiple streams from the Covid years to be sure and I don't feel compelled to do that. And even so some people just call LOTS of people "boss" for some reason I never understood, and maybe Dwight does that at times. But I do have a vivid memory of Dwight saying it because I remember just guessing Ryan was the leader up until then, and hearing Dwight call him boss seemed like him verifying it. Since that stream I've been assuming Ryan had the final call, but perhaps not for the reasons we've outlined.
Either way it's definitely a highly collaborative process because Ryan has said that many times in many interviews and streams. They all work for Steve Evans, but I haven't been able to tell how much he gets involved in something like character selection. Certainly he could be involved if he wanted to be, but if he is they've never mentioned it. And I'm sure he's made some calls on characters at some point since he's ultimately responsible for the Legends line.
@ted-mic It is not online only just mostly online. Walmart and Target are not carrying it. Gamestop is going to and other small retailers could. Local shops, comic stores. I would say Best Buy but from what I can tell they have dropped ML altogether. They seem to only be carrying now McFarlane and Neca. FYE probably is if you want to pay their ridiculous prices.
@ted-mic i think i misspoke - i don't know about online only but afaik target and walmart aren't going to carry it in stores.
Here's how the Rhodey head looks on Blade. A bit big, but not bad.

Ryan said to me that this wave and the Void wave are essentially fan channel waves. There are nuances to how that can be communicated though, according to him, because he is not interested in stepping on toes of big box, or worse, burning bridges. That was related to our discussion about waves having their own SKUs and needing to move product out fast so new assortments can come in.

Not terrible but needs sunglasses.

Their skin seems to be changing and their faces seem to be morphing into a single glowing red "eye". They certainly aren't growing larger. At least not in the visible shot. Who's to say what happens in more time in the Dark Dimension. I would assume the immortality is as a thrall to Dormammu's will.

Hmm, didn't notice their eyes doing that, but I was looking almost entirely at their overall size and shape. Thanks, I'll watch that scene again.
It’s fairly subtle, but red light does start blazing out of their eyes. If anything, they get skinnier, but they certainly blacken in colour.
I definitely took it as read they were becoming Mindless Ones - there’s nothing to say the MCU versions have to be hulking brutes (or indeed that they won’t be if they ever appear more substantially).

I watched the scene again, and you definitely can see a single, glowing light coming out of their foreheads. It's pretty small though, about the size of a human eye or perhaps double the size, hard to tell from a distance. Nothing about the appearance screams Mindless One to me since the comic versions have one really wide eye.
However I haven't even read stories with the Mindless Ones, so I'm not entirely sure how people noticed this. But I have a guess--did they cover the origin of the Mindless Ones at some point? Maybe their origin in the comic is close to what happened with Kaecilius and his zealots in the film.
@enigmaticclarity IIRC from my Dr Strange lore, Mindless Ones are just denizens of the Dark Dimension that have basically surrendered their will to Dormammu. Basically Dormammu's stormtroopers/red shirts, but much tougher.
That being the case, if Kaecilius et all were swallowed into the Dark Dimension after becoming the thralls of Dormammu, becoming Mindless Ones would indeed be their fate.
