I'm a little bummed Clea didn't get double elbows. But she got a newly sculpted upper torso, and she has sculpted glove cuffs like Wanda, so I'm guessing that's why her arms got reused. Still need open hands for her!
FFS!!! So Amazon bungled my pre-order, just got off with CS, it got stuck in in the shipping fulfillment process. So all y'all that ordered way after me that will have them this week got over on me! Probably get bumped to November or later because of this. I guess Amazon tries to make sure it's in a close shipping center but then doesn't know what do when it's not. Since an Atari 2600 runs the entire shipping process I guess just shipping the stupid thing from wherever makes no sense to it. Gotta make sure everything is in a 2-day delivery range.
Edit: escalated ticket, 48-hour promise to ship, yada, yada. We'll see. If this wave was going to retail shelves I'd probably have been able to pick it up when I got my X-Men '97 figures this week at Target! I seem to have offended the toys gods or something. Like I said, the exclusive Classified Eel and 89 Batmobile had the same exact issues. I had a Dragon Stars Goku on pre-order and was able to buy it from Amazon proper when it came in stock and get it while my pre-order did nothing! Damn these first-world problems!
I rewatched the Hit-Monkey miniseries on Hulu - it came up earlier in the thread due to Lady Bullseye's presence in the show - and it is just as good as I remember from the first go, if not better. Great story, animation, music, voice acting (Jason Sudeikis, George Takei, and Olivia Munn are the names I know, but the rest of the cast have a lot of credits to their names), a few fun cameos of characters from the Marvel U, and just an overall great execution of the concept. I've never read the original comic - Daniel Way's writing has never really appealed to me - but the show is really excellent. Definitely encourage anyone to check it out. And a second season was greenlit, so more on the way!
Yeah, fun series.
I’m still over the moon we finally got Lady Bullseye. She’s been one of my top villain wants for so long.
Looking at the Mindless One, I'm thinking light gray plastic + new hands, feet and head= FA Rhino. I wonder if that's on the horizon, despite the recent release of the carded Rhino. I just can't imagine them not reusing any of these parts, and I'm blanking on another candidate for this sculpt.
Amazon is all over the place with these. Over the weekend they pulled in Blade & Clea to deliver today. Now, Clea has been pushed to end of October, and Blade is TBD...
That's a real bummer that some of you have been getting the shaft with this wave from Amazon. It's definitely been inconsistent, but I've come out on the fortunate end of that, where stuff got bumped up, then delivered even earlier. Hope it works out for you guys.
As far as reuse of the Mindless One body goes, I honestly can't think of any other characters either, except DC Clayface. It's really well executed though. The articulation is hardly noticeable, hidden particularly well where the legs meet the hip joints. I'm glad it also comes with alternate hands. The open hands make great lurching/creeping hands, while the fists give it the option to pound on adversaries.
I'd like at least one more, and I don't plan to cancel my other set coming from Pulse eventually. I just wish these weren't $25 each. I know I can wait for a sale, but also, they really should just lower the prices of these things since everything is consistently getting discounted.
Really love this wave. Skipped on DD and Iron Man, but I'll pick them up when I can get a deal on 'em. No way I'm paying full price, buuuuut would've picked up DD had he come with the BaF piece.
Power Man is probably my favorite of the wave, with Lady Bullseye and Blade fighting for 2nd place. Clea is pretty great, too. I'm sure she'd be even better if the top of her knee joint hoop thing didn't snap upon its initial bend out of the package. I'll have to get another, which is annoying, but just goes to show that you should always heat the bloody joints on every ML out of the package. Wasn't even that cold yesterday, but whatchagonnado? 😤
Return it?

Yep, Blade TBD, Clea pushed until next week and then my Hook-Hausen AEW set due tomorrow hasn't shipped or been charged. This is kind of becoming a trend with Amazon. Amazon has confirmed that Blade is sold out so since everyone else has been sold out until next year, we wait! Pre-orders are so convenient!
I just cancelled 80% of my Amazon pre-orders. Since I'll be paying shipping with other retailers I'll probably cancel Prime after Christmas.
Edit: I just pre-ordered with BBTS for Blade showing December. We'll see who gets here first. A race it is! F-ing Amazon!! I contacted CS and got a free month of Prime. I recommend all of us that got screwed go request that too.
Got a charge on Clea from Amazon. I guess the sad reality with Amazon pre-orders is if you have 2-people and one Blade for example, it's not a matter or who ordered first, it's about who is closest to the DC that has the item that will get the pre-order fulfilled. Too bad for the guy that ordered long before that is now getting bumped. Just figured since Amazon is giving me a month off Prime I'll indulge and order a Blade from an in-stock seller on eBay that is only charging $10 more with free shipping. Don't you deny me my plastic dope!
Return it?
Yeah, that'll be the plan when she's more readily available. It's just annoying. I'll probably pick her up, throw the damaged one in the new box and then proceed with the return so I can get the monies back, noting the defectiveness, of course.
Clea is pretty great, too. I'm sure she'd be even better if the top of her knee joint hoop thing didn't snap upon its initial bend out of the package. I had a similar issue with Clea where the leg and ankle joints were unbelievably stiff. Although one ankle was the opposite and really gummy. So much so that the joint only moved when heated, or the foot peg would just bend instead.
Ended up getting another one, but the joints on that were even more difficult to move. Hot water helped with the knees, but I actually ended up leaving it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to get the ankle joints to move (otherwise the leg would just bend instead).
The joints on the second figure are now all fine and it's an excellent representation of the character (been number 1 on my top 10 for a few years), but I was really suprised at the issues with the joints. It's the first Marvel Legend I've bought this year though, but is this type of problem getting more common?
I didn’t preorder any of this wave aside Clea; and plunked down for Lady Bullseye, Luke and Blade on Amazon and they’ve moved the estimated arrival dates all over the place!

Not that I know of. I'm usually really good about this. Like, I'll try and move the figure out of the package, but if their joints prove to be stiffer than usual, that's when they get a nice lil' hot water bath to cure what ails 'em. This time around, however, while the joints seemed stiff, they were still moving, so I just went for a bend of the knee and the inner part wrapping around the top of the knee joint just tore. It didn't pop or break, but that piece seemed to have been so soft that it just tore from being so tight.
This is the first time I've had this particular issue with a Legends figure at that particular articulation point. Every now and again, figures will be a little stiff, but it's not that common, in my experience.
