@derrabbi We use to ride our bikes too. Man so many great memories of what was-in my mind- a much simpler time to be kid compared to today.

I had so many of those cups! I would kill to find them again! Man I miss the '70's sometimes.....

Yeah... I loved getting those as a kid.   I've been slowly building back a collection of them.    I have 25 of them displayed in my room currently but there are still a couple dozen I want to add.

It's a little funny that Clea got a cup, considering only a handful of females made it into the line,  but the selection at the time was.... odd   -  Black Widow, Crystal, Invisible Woman, Medusa, Red Sonja, Scarlet Witch, Thundra and Valkyrie were the others.    No Wasp seems like a peculiar slight....  Tigra had just burst on the scene at that time, so kind of surprising she wasn't included.         These came out in 1975 or 1976 I think - so the all new X-Men hadn't caught fire yet  - so no Storm, no Wolverine, no Nightcrawler.

Such a fun way to keep kids coming back for Slurpees.    7-11 carried comic books at the time as well and I remember saving my allowance (50 whole cents) to get two comics and my dad would spring for the Slurpee.

I remember the first time I bought comics, 1970 or '71 I believe, my Dad took me to a place called Readmore where he bought his cigarettes and he gave me $5.00 to buy some comics off the spinner rack and then they were still 15 cents! I went home with a grocery sack full and the rest is history....LOL.

Blade and Clea popped back in stock briefly on Amazon and showed an available date of the 7th of October before they sold back out.  My pre-orders still show 2 Nov delivery on both however.  Be cool to get them now rather than next month.  Got Cage a few days ago but had to cancel all but those 3.  Too much hitting too early for my budget!  Trying to brace for Studio Series 86 Ultra Magnus which I'm thinking will hit early now that it's been popping up at stores as well as pre-order I have with EE for Studio Series Snarl.

I got email notices from Amazon that Cage, Clea and Blade jumped up to being here on Monday from Nov.

I already know Cage is going to be a disappointment for me since he's too small. Hasbro should have made him as big as they did Bishop in X-men 97. Cage is supposed to be as tall as Thor at 6ft6 so the action figure should have been as tall as 80th or cosmic Thor.

I got the bump for Clea and Blade to Monday too. Can’t wait to pair her with Stephen, and to complete the Mindless One.

I’ve had this wave for a week now but stewed on it a bit as I kinda despise it on the whole and wanted to see if this would change after a few days, but it didn’t.

DD and Blade are the ones I hate the most - Matt’s knees are horrific and the arms on him are wierdly puny, and Blade is mostly reused parts that go together and pose very awkwardly, even moreso with the overly stiff new coat.

Most of the figures have the wrong wrists too and there’s just no excuse for this.

It’s annoying that none of the shortfalls could be considered fair trade-off for a great unique BAF, because it’s a bit mid both in character choice and engineering.

Picked up Power Man at a toy show yesterday. I am loving him and all his '70's goodness. Found him after I had already spent to much so I had to leave the rest of the wave behind. I would have bought Clea then too if I had more money. She looks great.

Clea came today from Amazon. Wow, I'm not even a big fan of the character, but the figure is just terrific. The face is possibly the best I've seen in the line. If this is an indication of the future of ML, I'm a happy camper.

Gotta agree on Clea, @akajomiha - that face is gorgeous. I do like that she came with “thwipp” style spell-casting hands. But utterly shocked she didn’t come with what has been referred to as “magic hands”, i.e. the same open splayed hands nearly every female ML has come with. She could obviously use them, and I don’t get why she came with fists instead! I don’t think we’ve got any other females with this shade of violet hands! Otherwise, she is fantastic.

Blade, on the other hand, is lackluster. I thought this would be an obvious improvement over the previous figure from the Man Thing wave. Obviously it’s a new head. It’s a reuse of the old torso, with Old Man Hawkeye from the waist down, and I’m guessing X-Factor Havok arms. The jacket is painted red inside, which is a nice contrast. But it definitely gets in the way of posing, or specifically just getting his arms down at his sides, one of the most common problems for figures in jackets like this. At least he comes with new stakes and hook blades, but the katana is from the Hand/Fist figures, and I was hoping he’d get something more unique. Not a hot mess, but not much of an upgrade.

The Mindless One looks great, and can get into some decent poses for a figure this bulky. Took me a second to figure out how the red smoke fits in over his eye (it goes all the way across, but I thought it just popped into a corner). Much more dynamic with the effect displayed.

All in all quite pleased with this wave, which may be one of my favorites in a long time. Really great character selection and design choices, which enhance and are enhanced by previous releases like Walmart Dr Strange, Woman Without Fear Elektra, etc.

Hasbro will be leaving money on the table if they don't release the Mindless One as a deluxe figure this time next year, especially with this wave not getting to the main retailers. Put it on Pulse so people can army build it...

Damn, lol Amazon pushed my Clea back from Nov 20 to Nov 26. Weird.

I ordered when they first became available, Blade is showing delivery tomorrow and Clea Tuesday but I've not gotten a shipping notice or been charged.  Anyone else that got the Amazon bump get delayed yet?

Just got Clea - absolutely love her. She was in my top 20 forever and it's nice to scratch her off that list!

@justice-freak As always, order first, always get bumped.  They did this with my Cobra Eel and 89 Batmobile too.  Oh, well, c'est la vie!  Probably still get it before Nov 1, or on Nov 1, 2 or Nov 27 like the other dude!

One thing I do notice about Amazon is that they are really bad with shipping based on order time.  I've pre-ordered something months in advance, have a delivery of X date, then see it become available from Amazon, order then, still have my pre-order showing X date, get my other order, still nothing from the pre-order.  I don't know why they do this but it's never first come, first serve.  With Hasbro randomly sending partial orders, full orders, 3-figures out of an order only months in advance of their release estimates it's a real crap shoot these days!
