What? Somehow I missed that.
That's insanely exciting...I can't wait to see how they do Neo's outfit and jacket, or Trinity's. They're both really similar to the Crow's outfit that Mezco did INSANELY well, so if Mafex's Matrix figures are as good as the Mezco Crow I'm all in.
There wasn't much to be excited about. It's just a placard announcing the license. We're probably three years away from having anything in hand.
Re: Chinese brands, they're definitely on the upswing. I bought a cheap LED UHD TV from TCL a few years ago. It's not perfect, but it's excellent for the price. Their electric cars are lapping the competition in Detroit. Similarly, they've been leading the way on renewable energy technology. We can attribute most of that to Trump/stubborn U.S. leadership, but we'll certainly feel that in 20 years. TikTok is another example. They have total command over young people in the U.S. in a way no other social media company does.

Just checked my AmiAmi account, and apparently seven Mafex figures (Marvel: comic stealth Iron Man, No Way Home Tobey Spider-Man, and MCU Black Panther; DC: Hush Riddler, Hush Scarecrow, Reign of Supermen Super Boy, DCEU Black Adam) are all scheduled for December still. Delays are starting to pile up again for Mafex.
I'm sure all seven won't come out, but I would think we're headed for a month sometime in the near future where they do four releases.
Welp. My package carrying both Daredevil and Captain America made it to the states, and got to the regional USPS facility about 60 miles from me. After 9 days of it being "In transit to the next facility" I opened a missing mail search request. Thankfully, they seem to have located the package - in Puerto Rico! I guess they hopped on the wrong plane. Here's hoping USPS can reroute them without incident and get them to me. It would be a major bummer to lose both of those figures in one shot.

I'd be stuck between skipping two excellent figures or overpaying for them. Brutal choice.
I really think Daredevil is the best figure I own. Again, I hope you get yours!
@h-bird I've had one of my sent eBay packages from CT to FL disappear from tracking, then it turned up in PR after I filed a missing package request. I find it interesting how quickly USPS can locate a package when an insurance claim is on the line. It's a head scratcher why they sit on the package until you open a claim. Luckily, the buyer was the nicest, most patient ebayer you could hope to deal with.

The Hobby-Genki package with Daredevil and Captain America departed Puerto Rico. They seem to have *slightly* overshot me here in coastal Georgia, and sent it all the way to...Anchorage, Alaska! Can't wait to see where they get sent next.

Looks pretty solid! The yellow/red classic armor is my default classic Iron Man. It has just the right build. I like all their classic Silver Age Marvel figures. I wonder if they'll ever get around to a classic Hulk. They've done Bane and are doing Doomsday, so larger figures are on the table.
@enigmaticclarity He looks really nice but I'm skipping him. I've got the classic version and the only other suits I want are the Silver Centurion, War Machine, and Modular ones.
