Where's that amazing guy who allegedly had a medicom source and used to post 🤫 whenever a character in their pipeline was mentioned or asked about. We lost them during the board reset, but they had teased Rogue, Jubilee, Archangel and Colossus too.
They were an essential hype man of this thread!

I remember him "confirming" those figures plus Nightcrawler and Iceman too with his little zipped-mouth-shut emojii. I miss him too since he was usually right.
But the last board reset was over a year ago now so I'm not holding my breath anymore for those missing X-Men. Makes me wonder how long Medicom has things in the planning stages--is it over a year? Might they have figures planned up into 2026 or 2027 already?

Yeah but that would be like 20 figures, so it seems pretty likely.
Wow, another classic Spider-Man re-release already. He's still available in some places, so it's tough to decide why they're re-issuing him now before something far more desirable and less available like brown suit Wolverine.
That's my favorite classic Spider-Man figure if you don't already own it.

Agreed. I have that one and the third re-issue of the original Mafex 075 Spider-Man, and the colors are so much more vibrant on 185. And Mafex still has a slight edge on all of the Hasbro Spider-Men. I think Medicom re-issued that original 075 version twice the same year it released so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they know to re-issue this one frequently as well.
But I am surprised that they haven't realized that Wolverine is almost as popular if not equally as popular as Spider-Man. I guess it's because their original tiger stripe version took a year or so to sell out, but I've always attributed that to the shoulder issue and more importantly those terrible garden-rake claws it has. I thought they might fix that on the re-release, but nope, same terrible claws--so maybe they just don't know how much fans dislike those claws. The brown suit version has the BEST claws I've ever seen for Logan, and that one sold out immediately and they still have yet to re-release it.
I hope Mafex reissues Spidey 075 again. I want it for the Peter Parker head sculpt. And I need that Brown Suit Wolvie, too.
I forgot about all the movie Black Panthers they have lined up too (throne, Civil War, Infinity War, T’Chaka, and Shurri), should mean a good chance of a classic comic T’Challa as well.
I must admit, I am kinda surprised there’s been not even a peep of a War Machine, Silver Centurion, Modular, or Extremis Iron Man yet, figure people love picking up the various armours as much as they do Spideys.
By mostly coincidental timing, I happen to have 3 packages from different sources arriving today with Mafex or Mafex-adjacent figures.
#1 - Yoyakunow - Mafex yellow Wolverine, Psylocke, and Revoltech Arkham Knight Batman. Purchased the Mafexes all the way back in July but was waiting on Batman, who was delayed several times. I waffled on Psylocke several times so I'm excited to finally get her and see if it was worth it.
#2 - Hobby-Genki - Captain America and Daredevil. Really can't wait for these two.
#3 - AliExpress - CT knockoff Mafex brown Wolverine. I have mixed feelings about supporting KOs, including safety concerns. I'll definitely support an official version if/when they reissue it, but until then I'll see what all the fuss is about with CT.
I still haven't picked up either Jean Grey or Phoenix, though I think I'll get both eventually.
Just realized Mafex Bane is coming today too, from Deep Discount. Too many fancy toys! It's gonna take me weeks to open these, I need time to appreciate each one.

Robo reviewed it. He has the Mafex, and he thinks the CT Toys is almost as good and in some ways better than the Mafex. That company appears to be copying EVERYTHING Mafex has done, so I would have to imagine that it's a significant threat to Medicom. Not sure what they can do about it if anything.
Yeah I've seen a lot of raving on Reddit, etc. I'll admit I feel a little skeezy about buying it. TSI brought up feeling some sort of way about Ramen's model a few weeks ago and I defended them - in this case I'll fully admit that this is just straight up theft, and probably shouldn't be supported. Not to mention the total blind spot and lack of accountability for materials used and labor practices.

I have a pinned browser tab for the CT Toys brown-costume Wolverine at Aliexpress. The Real McCoy has been my most-wanted figure for years now, yet I haven't been able to pull the trigger.
I've seen a lot of praise for CT Toys around the internet, and they don't deserve any of it. They stole the mold and don't pay sculptors, artists, or a license fee.
For consumers, it's ethically dubious at best. I give some grace in this case because the authentic figure hasn't been available in years despite obvious demand. I equate it to a movie studio removing a film from streaming, pay-per-view, and physical media. Anyone who wants to experience it has to pirate it. It's the same situation here.
The thing holding me back is the safety concerns. I'm aware of the carcinogens in my furniture, the microplastics in our food, and the PFAS in our drinking water, but this seems like an unnecessary risk. It's in my cart at Aliexpress for $12.45 shipped. I can't imagine the material or labor exploited to get it to my door for less than $13.
I was thinking about buying one for the same reason I used to occasionally buy the KOs of my MP Transformers. It's nice to have a cheap copy to play with.
