@vondoom Reckon you might be. Paint wise I’ve only had one glaring issue in years. As for general QC, the comic ink shadow Spidey was a piece of shit, and obviously everyone knows about the OG Wolvie’s left arm but apart from those two notorious examples, the only other problem I’ve had over all the other figures (various movie/TV bods, the Marvel and DC comic guys) was two left hands on one of Carrie Kelly’s hand sets.
Oh and Joker’s head got stuck on the peg one time and pulled the post out the neck, which was a bit nerve wracking getting it out again!
Yeah, I haven't had a major QC issue since before they acquired the Marvel license. I think it was the infamous fall-apart-in-your-hands 3PO.

Yeah, my luck with the QC lottery has always been spotty. Never anything big, worst I got was a Bane with two left splayed open hands, just small stuff that starts to irk. Especially the paint on 185 Spidey, I've had two of those with easily damaged paint. One got a particularly nasty gash on the lower abdomen after I articulated it. Seen multiple reports of it, so I know it's not just a me thing in that case. For most people who probably leave stuff up on a shelf it's not gonna be a big problem.
Anyway, I've said it many times before, but YES to a Green Goblin. Yes to more Spidey villains in general, but definitely he needs it most.

Only QC issues I ever have with MAFEX is some joints are not lubricated enough or seemingly at all. My Scarlet Spider's hips were terrifying to move out of the box, but just a little silicon oil remedies that. Their paint isn't the most crisply applied either, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a quality control issue.
That’s a lovely list of names I’d take instantly but on the basis of what we’ve seen to date, I don’t expect a Magik or Apocalypse ever, alas. As for Doom, we’ll get one but I bet it’ll be the film version first.
I’m looking forward to Iceman and the rumoured Nightcrawler and Colossus, and can totally envisage Mystique getting done, maybe Sabretooth if we’re lucky. I’m thinking other likelys down the line will be:
Scarlet Witch - Vision - Quicksilver - Hawkeye - Black Widow - Wasp - Ant Man - Hulk - Silver Centurion armour
Angel - Beast - Cable - Deadpool - Punk Storm - AoA Jean, Rogue

Outside of those though, it feels dicey. Maybe if the F4 film is a hit we could see comic versions, lord knows I’d love a chromed up Surfer ala their Phasma. Likewise, I’d love Kitty, Illyana and the rest of the New Mutants to get their shot but maybe none of them have the same kind of iconic individual looks and fame compared to the main players. And as for antagonists, Marvel-wise we’ve only seen Magneto, Venom and Carnage to date (oh and Evil Gwenpool!), so other than Loki, Mystique, Doom and Osborn, I don’t have high hopes on that front. There just so much competition on their schedule for slots, what with all the film & TV stuff, the DC line, occasional basketball figure (like wtf, I don’t even like basketball but even I’m tempted whenever I see them announce ’em), etc.
I come at it from the perspective of which characters I'd be willing to spend $80 on that I think Medicom could improve. I'm not a huge Colossus fan, but I think Medicom could knock him out of the park. Same with the Avengers and X-Men Revox listed.
I don't think I care enough about Angel or most of those Avengers to buy them, but we may find out before long.
That new Legends Widow will be super difficult to top. Beast, too.
Nightcrawler and Vision are probably top of my Mafex wants list. Iceman is the most exciting of what they currently have announced - would love to finally get a decent Iceman after all these years.
I’m in for a chrome silver surfer with feet magnets for the board. Plenty of power effects… a portrait with Kirby energy crackling out of the eyes… 😮

My guess is they'd duck the challenge just as they did with their Wonder Woman 1984 figure shown below. They gave her two sets of wings, both unarticulated--one fully spread out, and another that's folded up behind her.
And it's not like this was one of the older Mafex figures that aren't as good as they are now--this came out in 2023.
