Hopefully those flame effects on Nate Grey's arms and legs don't attach like Poison Ivy's leaf effects on her figure released earlier this year. You can't move Ivy's legs without those effects constantly falling off which makes her by FAR my most frustrating Mafex figure to pose.
Would you classify her ivy as poison to your patience?
I still can't believe we're getting an import X-Man.
Why does every fuckin figure of Nate come with that stupid eye effect? Sure, some people wanna display it with that. But not everyone does. Give us options. Hasbro does it, and now this. I would've considered it if it had a head without that dumb effect. Now I'm not. And this has alternate heads, you're telling me they would rather sculpt this piece and attach it then give him a second eye? For every head? So dumb.
the pre order listings for A-Train and X-Man went up on most major retail outlets this morning.
Summary of Reddit post:
KD said those are store display samples, Cap is 9/25 and DD is 10/1...
So Kaiju Daddy's release date for Cap appears to be incorrect? I haven't gotten a payment email from HLJ, which is okay because I want to ship together.
I don't know what goes wrong with MAFEX's promo photos, but both of these guys look way better than they did a year ago.
Medicom posted Cap to their Twitter feed which usually means he's about to ship.
Medicom posted a specific release date for comic Cap overnight of October 1.
No updates at all from them on Daredevil yet, but last I heard Kaiju Daddy thought it would release in very early October near Cap's release since they have them both in Medicom's store located in Tokyo's Solomachi mall. Kaiju Daddy has a fully American accent in his Youtube videos, but he seems to spend a lot of time living in Tokyo which is how he knows what Medicom has in their store there.
HLJ took payment last night for Cap and as of now, HLJ says six left in stock.
Kaiju Daddys review of comic Captain America
Now why would he shoot the review like that? Sometimes the tried and true is tried and true for a reason.

He says it in the first minute--it's because his computer he uses to do the editing died. The review is almost unwatchable because of it, but I skimmed through the 54 minutes and got what I needed after about 10 minutes of doing that. I didn't notice until this review that Cap comes with two shields--one regular, and one with super-wide straps to fit onto his back. I've wanted a Cap shield with bigger straps to fit over the arms like that since forever, so that was great to see.
He really does look FAR better in hand in that video than he does in the promos. I was a bit meh on the figure before this review, but now I'm pretty excited. Kaiju thinks this is the best 6-inch comic Cap ever made, and I'm inclined to agree with him from what I can see.
I had a pre-order in at either HLJ, Hobby Search, or AmiAmi that I double-checked a few weeks ago. Yesterday I went to see if I had been billed, couldn't remember which retailer had the order--but couldn't find the pre-order on any of those three sites. Gonna search around for a new order today, and I bet wherever I placed the original pre-order bubbles up anyway. I really need to start writing down where I place all of my pre-orders...

I just keep the email confirmation and flag it for follow up. When an order gets delivered I remove the flag. It works well for me.
