Tiger stripe reissue incoming. https://www.yoyakunow.com/en/character-figures/20884-mafex-no096-mafex-wolverinecomic-ver.html
It's funny they have to keep you using the likeness rights for Amazing Spider-Man 2 instead of his appearance in No Way Home.
I already like the look of it more than the SHF one. Also, kinda weird no? So used to Medicom reveals dropping around the last week of the month.
I got the Mafex Iron Man Mark 50 a long time ago but never opened it for some reason. Finally opened it today, and this figure is awesome!! So many accessories! You can recreate all of the armor morphing abilities that Iron Man had in Infinity War. Every weapon is here including the various hand blaster configurations, both shields, the feet claws, and the piledriver arms. Really impressive figure. Mafex has certainly come a long way since the floppy Iron Man Mark 45 that I bought years ago.
Yep, the Mark 50 is absolutely amazing. Hard to understand why more didn't want it. I guess it's the price that's a barrier, but wow, it's more than worth it with that array of accessories it comes with.
@enigmaticclarity It wasn't the price for me. Rather I'm generally just going with a single version of a character for the movie shelf, or at most the first and last. So for me, that means the Mk III and the Mk 85, which I much prefer to the 50.
Tiger Stripe Wolverine is showing as back for pre-order on AmiAmi and BBTS

Wow, that looks better than I was expecting. Not sure sure where to put this figure since there aren't any other '70s/early '80s X-Men figures. My Mafex display has the '90s X-Men with brown costume Wolverine as one display -- I'm treating it as the team from X-Men #1 -- and then the rest like X-Factor Cyclops, tiger stripe Wolverine, AoA Magneto, and then the X-Force Deadpool and Wolverine sprinkled through other random parts of my shelves.
Big hands and huge feet aside, I can work with that figure.
I guess I never thought of the Phoenix symbol as yellow and the gloves/boots as gold. That will take some getting used to. I love the shade of green, though.
@tsi Cockrum's was plain yellow with no reflection/sheen to it, though the symbol was much smaller and more basic compared to what we generally think of. Byrne did the Dark Phoenix version similarly plain, *most* of the time but not always. Art Adams also went with plain yellow compared to the gold gloves and boots for his Classic X-Men cover.
Do her boots look too high to anyone else? Kinda makes her middle section look scrunched.
I'm debating buying this at some point as I love Phoenix but really don't like the ankles on the Storm they released. And I like at least one of these heads.
Honestly the one Hasbro is doing looks better then this one. This one has Clown feet and hands. Her heads look good but otherwise I think Hasbro wins this one.
