I want the NeoClassic. The Issue 231 armor is my most-wanted Marvel Legends.
This is very, very close but it isn't the 231 armor. This is the 231 armor after John Romita Jr started drawing those giant boots for some reason, and then they just caught on I guess.
I still wanna get this one, but really hoping for a variant sometime soon with skinnier boots.
WHY is the unibeam BLUE?? Why can't it just be yellow? I swear they intentionally make sure all these figures have at least one little flaw that's gonna drive us nuts.
(I will say that my favorite image of the "coffee-can boots" Iron Man was the Marvel Universe Trading Cards series two card by Art Adams. It's so cool. Everything Adams draws is cool. He could draw my great-uncle drinking a beer on the couch and it would be cool!)
This is a great wave, but I'll admit I was REALLY hoping to see a Mandarin in here. Maybe a deluxe with cloth robe and ring effect parts? Wishful thinking, I know.
I think I'm only in for She-Hulk and Model 20 Iron Man, but again just a fantastic looking wave across the board here.
The wave looks great and I will be pre-ordering the entire set. My only issue is once again they go to the Vulcan body for a character who is a literal powerhouse. Count Nefaria should not be using the same body as Black Panther or Bucky Cap and should not be shorter than Captain America. The Hasbro ML team now is going to run this body into the grave so later on we can all buy an updated bigger body with "butterfly joints" to redo the likes of Count Nefaria, Wonderman, Falcon and even possibly Captain America.
As happy as I am that we are getting Count Nefaria, unless he gets some majorly high profile exposure in the coming years this is probably the only figure we will get of him for the next decade.
Definitely would have been a lot of fun to get Dark Aegis as a BAF! He has a great character design.Hypnotia would've been nice to see, and finally get. 😀

Dark Aegis would have been a great BAF for this wave. Talk about your missed opportunities. Still pretty nice wave. Shulkie is a must. Nefaria and Whiplash are are good choices too.

Does Nefaria really need a powerhouse build? I thought he was just a regular sized peak human with super strength and invulnerability? The Vulcan body should reflect that. It’s used appropriately for Vision whose stats are very similar.

Never say never! The safari jacket seemed like it was never going to happen until it did, and that's a much harder look to pull off. A straight repaint on an existing buck makes this a real possibility - same with the first appearance look, which I also really want.
This is an interesting wave! Good to see an Updated Neo-Classic Armor, and with the oversized gauntlets and Boots! I figure that the "slim" version will come eventually! Glad to finally be getting a Whiplash, although I am wondering, wasn't this costume particularly called Blacklash? Count Nefaria is a long time coming, and it's great to get an updated Pentagon Armor and an accurate Mark 2 in Gold! I must echo the sentiment on the lack of Any version of the Mandarin though, surely even the 90s toon version? And of course we just need more Iron Man baddies, Firebrand, Ghost, Melter, Madame Masque, ect!

Yeah, these versions of Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo were my first exposure to the characters, so I am very fond of them. I’d love to see them get Marvel Legends figures! Of course, I also love the classic armors for Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo as well—they should get the Legend treatment, too.These are the old Titanium Man and Crimson Dynamo figures that I mean. They were essentially Titanium Man 2 and Crimson Dynamo Mark 5.
These are the ones I'd be waiting for. Happy with this series and Iron Man in general for a while now with Hasbro, but these are 2 big omissions. Hoping they come. I wonder if Hulkbuster Iron Man will be on a retro card too??
Ryan mentioned 2 waves?? I know you said Toy Biz, but yeah this is kind of a hint as to how they are thinking! I love The Fantastic Four and would love more, but have more hope for Iron Man. He is a bigger seller I think.

I love the Living Laser figure that we got, but he is very modern. Very classic oriented fans would probably want Laser’s human look with the orange costume. But Living Laser also has a classic energy form which he had for a very long time—he was sometimes shown as being made of pink light and other times, he was shown as being made of yellow light. So there are basically three other versions of Laser that people would want. My favorite look for Living Laser are his classic pink and yellow energy forms.
Laser’s human form was going to be in the next wave of Iron Man’s 5” line, but that wave got cancelled. The mold was used to make Professor Xavier in Astral Plan form.
First of all... I was being cheeky, as even I am more partial to the human costume look of the classic Living Laser than the all pink energy depiction we got as a Legends figure.
But also, this idea that we might somehow get 3 versions of Living Laser in a figure line that refuses to deliver even a single version of many classic characters seems optimistic at best
