What are the other three? With these last 3 Iron Man releases, I only need 3 more armors to complete my Iron Man want list
Β
Great pics guys!Β Norm & Akatsuki, I don't usually get all the IM armors, but I think your pics sold me on model 09 - he looks fantastic.
Β
Mr Boshek - did those weights come with the old shulkie figure, or from somwhere else?Β Really love how it looks in your pic there!
Where is that IM w/Mega Man boots from?
Got Gold Iron Man and Nefaria from Amazon yesterday. I was supposed to get Whiplash and Ka-Zar today, but only Ka-Zar showed up. When I checked the tracking, it said Whiplash was delayed in route and has a new delivery date of 5/23. It says if it doesn't show up by then I can get a refund. But I'd rather my figure. After Nefaria that's the one I wanted most. Hopefully it shows up.
@mr-potatohead Kinda a mash up of the Comic Model 9 armor and the Animated Series.
@reefer-shark Those are Mattel WWE weights.Β They've been in my accessories been for awhile, can't remember who they came with.
@mrboshek thanks! Β Iβll keep my eyes on the wrestling figures in my travels. Β 👍
All these pics have sold me on picking up the three armors. Really thought I could hold off but they just look great.Β
Wrist strength is really going to limit Whiplash's posing options.
Yeah, the weight of the whip versus the solidity of the wrist joint might be my only complaint about the figure. I just crackd open Whiplash and Count Nefaria and they're both REALLY nice. (Though it will never stop making me laugh, the mileage they get out of that purse that has been carried by Green Goblin, Gwen Stacy, and so many others...) But other than the whip being too heavy, these are two fantastic figures. Nefaria's face sculpt is amazing! And I really like how they did his cape specifically - the way it rests on his shoulder and uses the back peg works so much better than a lot of recent capes.Β
Man, I've had all three armors in my Amazon cart for two days. I should just pull the trigger and get them. Who am I kidding trying to hold out.Β
He and Nefaria both have a single flaw besides being otherwise very nice. Wrist strength and loose cape cord. But that is ML way ... great figure with 1 big flaw so maybe you'll buy it again.
JLA/Avengers (which turns 20 this year, ouch) was my big step into actually reading comics. Before that, pretty all my appreciation for these characters stemmed purely from the cartoons, the toys, the video games. So flipping through these pages that celebrated the entire history of both franchises left me with a lot of questions over who all these characters were. One that stood out in my head the most was this character I didnβt recognize who was squaring off with Superman during the big climactic fight sequence in issue 4. He had a cape and a skintight suit like Superman, but also a goatee (obviously evil). I knew he mustβve been a pretty bad dude to be able to go hand-to-hand with Superman. A little internet digging lead me to learn that his name was Count Nefaria, a (generously) B- level Avengers villain. Not long after that The Fwoosh started doing their yearly top 10 Marvel Legends vote, where Count Nefaria sat at the top of my list for all these years, until now. This was the figure I was most excited about from this wave and it feels great to finally have him in-hand two decades later.
@normdapito Hell yes to that. Thats the one I was hopeful for - Is that Bob Larkins design? Cannot recall at the moment.
I mentioned how my She-Hulk's upper body paint is a little thin in one spot, but I just noticed the outfit's neck line is quite asymmetrical. I probably could've done a better paint job.
