I’ll echo the love for Nefaria. Head sculpt is outstanding but cape execution isn’t great. Would have liked it more if the rope was permanently attached like the recent Black Panther. As is, the rope seems to prevent the cape from staying on properly. Aside from that, a solid entry for a long overdue character.

Loving this wave! The packaging is fantastic and so nostalgic for me!

Neo-Classic Armor— Wonderful upgrade over the previous figures of this armor. I really hope we get a figure of this armor with smaller boots, too. Scale and articulation are great. Love the chunkiness of this suit. It feels powerful. I agree with some other people’s comments that the pauldrons, while a significant improvement compared to the prior figures of his suit, might have been even better if they were just fully integrated into the shoulder ball joint itself rather than be an overlay. Overall, this figure is so much fun. Love finally getting a great figure of this armor!

Pentagon Armor Iron Man—- I have always loved this suit. The scale is perfect. It feels just a little bigger and bulkier than the Extremis suit. The sculpting is perfection as are the proportions. This is the suit that Iron Man wore when he pioneered the ground pound superhero landing pose, and the figure can pull it off. Unfortunately, the wrist guards do prevent full wrist range of motion for me, even when I really crank on the wrists. Otherwise the articulation is very nice. Butterfly shoulder joints on an armor!

These figures are dreams come true! I love what Hasbro has been doing with Iron Man figures!

Man, that Model 09 Iron Man looks great!  I may have to get that too.  As of now I just have She-Hulk, Count, and Whiplash pre ordered.  But I may end up getting both Model 09 and Model 20 Iron Men figures.

I'm just so happy we are getting Whiplash.  I have wanted him for so long.  Now if we could just get Mandarin on the Retro cards

Kind of wishing I’d grabbed Model 20 when I saw him earlier. Looks great.

Got Nefaria and Gold IM in hand. Nefaria is a dream figure come true.

But does it bug anyone else how IM’s paint detail all stops at the front of the figure? The shoulders, the boots, the forearms, the belt. The little bronze accents don’t go around to the back. This is some mid-2000’s Jakks Pacific level of cheapassery.

@boy_wonder I noticed that too about the paints not continuing on the back, but only noticed it on the groove of the boot. Didn’t realize it was like that elsewhere.

@ninjak Are these acid free?  My method right now is the acid free containers from Michaels which work alright, but these look to be more accessible easily.  My main concern is whether they will make my whole slew of figures tacky feeling as plastic can become in storage over the years.

I line the trays with card stock paper. It serves to keep the figures separated from the plastic tray as well as keeping them from sliding around too much when I open and close the drawers.

Nefaria on the other hand is something I have wanted for a long, loooooong time.    Classic Avengers foe,  great iconic look.    I have such fond memories of grabbing Avengers 166 at 7-eleven.

This figure makes me feel like that kid again.    Super stoked to add him to the shelf.   Even if he might have been better served on a slightly beefier body, I'm just happy to have him.

Same. I'm sure I bought the issue from a 7-11 spinner rack with a Slurpee. Preferably in a Marvel cup. I don't mind the body he's on. Looks good to me. He isn't strong because he's large; he's just superized. The cord floating so independently from the cape is my one gripe.

Got She-Hulk yesterday from Amazon and saw on FB there are Target sightings in my general area. Big improvement from the 1996 Incredible Hulk line of figures 😬 but the paint is a little sloppy.  The lines aren't very crisp and there is some green visible under the purple, a sculpted outline of a tank top style outfit would've been awesome.

"Got time for a spot?"

"If you pose me like it's 1996 one more time, I'm gonna come to your house and crush all your toys."

Hilarious how immediately familiar that pose is! I held on to that old Shulkie figure for a long time.

@h-bird I held on to her until about eight years ago when I started to dip my toe into eBay selling. I specifically remember buying her from Bradlees, a defunct northeast chain, for those not from the area.

Abomination with the cape and rubber Hulk with a Bruce Banner you could stick inside - good stuff from that old line!

When does Hulk get a go at a retro card line?

She-Hulk is the only figure from this wave that hasn't shipped for me yet. 🙁

Otherwise, all the figures from this wave are great. Happy to have three suits added to my Armory, and THRILLED to finally have Count Nefaria and Blackla--er, I mean Whiplash. But I echo those who are disappointed Nefaria's cape chord is a separate piece from the cape itself. That was an unfortunate decision.

With these last 3 Iron Man releases, I only need 3 more armors to complete my Iron Man want list
