I use the 15-qt size boxes. Easy to stack and move around and get characters organized. But I’m starting to have too many!
Any container storage solution like this is functionally improved with metal shelving. You can stack MUCH higher, plus you can pull any box at any time without having to move the ones on top when stored in stacks. Whatever the dimensions of your 15-quart containers are you should be able to find adjustable metal racks that fit two, three, or possibly even four or five of each container perfectly per shelf.

This approach is extremely functional, but the main con is that it doesn't display well. If you don't put a rack in a closet then the room you're storing them in looks like a garage or machine shop. Ideally I'd prefer a storage solution that presents better than stacked or shelved plastic containers, but I haven't figured anything out yet.
In an ideal world I'd want museum storage drawers with foam sheets cut to fit each figure and its accessories. Well actually in a perfect world I'd just be able to display everything.
I like the idea of the bigger boxes a lot more than the small ones but I worry that packing too many figures in together will warp limbs and accessories. I have every figure and their parts individually bagged but that only helps so much with the weight issue. How many figures are you packing in there from bottom to top? Any issues?
I'd *love* if there were some bigger size containers like those 37 qt ones with an insert to separate top from bottom - basically bisect it vertically to have two levels and get around the weight problem. Has anybody seen something like that out there?

I can fit anywhere from 25 to 100 figures in the 37-quart Sterilites. I have a few female figure boxes because that's all my daughter plays with (and my son only plays with the male figures), and there are around 100 in each female container. Not much warping because the bags naturally prevent it. It happens occasionally, but not to any severe degree and when it does happen it's easy to re-straighten usually without heat but sometimes with minimal heat.

I've never seen that. What I'd like even more is divider inserts that allow the figures to stand straight up, because if you have that you don't have to rustle around looking for figures because you can see them all from the top. My 37-quart boxes are between 7 and 8 inches tall, so the great majority of 6-inch figures could fit in them standing up almost perfectly. I've seen a tiny number of collectors using dividers like the ones below, but I've never seen containers with dividers sized to fit them so all of the ones I've seen are custom-made.
Here's a Youtube video where someone shows creating dividers to store figures vertically in their boxes. I saw this 3 or 4 years ago and really wanted to do it, but I haven't yet.

Yeah I looked at the dimensions after I posted and realized that at 7" high those boxes aren't as tall as I was imagining, so you aren't really stacking them too deep. The bigger boxes would definitely make my life easier than the multiple little ones - thanks for the recommendation!
@enigmaticclarity I use the large metal rack approach in my basement, and it works well. But like you, I’d prefer something more aesthetically pleasing in the display area. But at the moment, I do not have any solutions.
Come on, make a new thread for storage bins. I keep coming in here looking for new pics of this wave since people seem to be receiving it already. I'm dying to get my hands on these new armors and villains and SHE HULK!
I really hope a rerelease of that Neo-Classic armor is coming soon, but with slim boots.

Likewise, and with gold paint instead of comic book yellow. The bouncing back and forth between yellow and gold irritates the crap out of me. Pick one and stay consistent across all armors, please.

Oh, I like having both options of gold and yellow. There's a place for each in my collection.
Agreed. I actually quite like the yellow because it actually looks like the comic books I read back in the day. I get that the armor was always properly supposed to represent a more metallic color - so I don't mind the gold paint hits either - but I really like the yellow because that's how Iron Man looked for my entire childhood.
I have a strong preference for gold on all Iron Man figures.
That She-Hulk is a big gal. Maybe a bit too big for her 6'7.

That She-Hulk is great but man do I hate that they jammed her onto the card in a standard bubble. Bending her legs to make her fit is a sure way to have issues with warping down the road. I wish they would have given her a slightly bigger bubble, or moved her to a different wave.
I know, I know they should be opened, but the Retro cards are so great and nostalgic to me that I loathe opening them up unless I have a double that I picked up on the cheap.
@enigmaticclarity I have a bunch of those wire shelving units in my basement. I made sure to keep them when I shut down my business (thanks pandemic).
They are great for storage and so sturdy. You can put almost anything on them and not worry about the weight. Mine all have wheels so it is easy for me to move the whole shelving unit when I want/need to.
I use some sturdy clear plastic mats for the shelves to keep the shelves "flat" and uniform across the shelf. However you can also get different colours to give it a bit of a different look. Also coloured tape can be wrapped around the poles to add colour if so desired. Otherwise though yeah they are not the most visually appealing, but I mostly use them for box/bin storage and not figures.
