that BAF needed an upgraded. It’s not as great as it seems. Gummy limbs and weird body proportions. It’s too small

Where on earth did this revision that Giant-Man grew this tall come from?  In the silver age which is what this figure is based off he reached peak strength at 12 feet and anything after that he started growing weaker.  This figure is oversized and the toybiz one was pretty much on point.

i think this fan base is just too fickle, divided, and sending mixed messages... they lowered the price "still too much", they didn't include figures behind tiers "we don't want our figures locked behind pay walls" and now they're like "wasp and yellow jacket should have been tiers"

I just don't get it, one person told me today "if it was $300 and included 3 figure tiers, i'd have probably bought it"

I personally think tiers should only be used for "this figure we can't sell to retail, it's its only chance to get made" and they botched that up with last years non classic versions of Mephisto, Maddie, and Hellstorm...

i do wish instead of heads, we got like, Rick Jones and Jarvis, but i can see why the extra heads are important (to entice people to buy more than 1)

I think this has mostly been a matter of incentive for people.  I don't like this version of Giant Man & I don't have room for a 24" figure as I already have Galactus that takes up a lot of space.   There's zero reason for me to back this.  I do like Wasp a lot more than Giant Man though & they are characters linked together.... I'd love to have her asymmetrical blue/white 80s costume or her insectoid 90s version for 2 different Avengers displays -- neither of those Wasp versions are likely to ever see retail specially since he has issues peg warming in general.  That may have made me bite the bullet & then I'd just have to sell Giant Man in the aftermarket.  Jarvis & an additional Hank sound like they were incentives for others, but wouldn't have been for me -- when dealing with a b-lister (on his best day) & some of the other parameters with this Haslab it's a toss up for what will or won't move the dial for someone to back.

EoV's main issue with figures behind a paywall is that Goblin Queen (as 1 example) is a very requested character pivotal to a beloved X-Men event & she has zero to do with Ghost Rider.  To tie her to that, make it an non-classic "safer" look for an expensive adult backer project & say its the only way she will ever be released.... not good & not the same as releasing an "additional/variant" version of a character that is actually tied to the main Haslab product.

I mean we could circle around indefinitely about what could have been done differently (just like people did with EoV), but at the end of the day it only needs 10k backers... this close to the finish line & it's not even 70% funded & there have been some questionable campaign/marketing choices with the PR team completely renegging on everything that was just said in that Boog interview about a Wasp render reveal (and not only has a render been revealed... but also a prototype...) then I don't think the finger pointing should start at consumers.  I hope this funds for those that want it, but if it doesn't I hope people don't start that "blame the consumer" thing.

Actually on that thought ^

What are your thoughts (everyone) on if Giant-Man funds but doesn't unlock any tiers?

Basically it has been all but confirmed that the tiers are built into the price (cost) so not getting any tier unlocks, or less than all of them, could be considered getting less value.  Or I guess if you are hardcore "ripped off."

Does that get offset by the fact that it will be one of the lowest funded Haslabs and probably will have a much higher secondary market value after the fact?  Or do you not care, what is in the base offering is enough?

The tiers don't sway me in any way on this one.  Honestly they probably wouldn't even get removed from the box honestly.   I don't have any kind of problem with them though, cool for those that would use them!

Regarding revealing Wasp after NYCC, especially since there is an in-hand version of Jan, probably a prototype:

I'd bet money that Dwight, Dan and Ryan would have loved to show Jan sitting on Pym's hand at NYCC, but their hands were tied. They may be the face of Legends, but they aren't the end all be all decision makers.

I totally forget, probably blocked it out, but wasn't there a similar situation with the EOV that our guys wanted to show something but were told they couldn't by higher ups?

Well the counter is all the way up to 6750 right now -  so that's like a jump of 225 just in the last 7 hours... if it can maintain that momentum through the weekend and then get that final day surge it should fund.   Fingers crossed for y'all.

The tiers don’t do anything for me either. I just want Giant Man. I do think I’ll play around with those expressions though, looks like a ton of fun. I want him to go with the founding Avengers. I am not even in a rush to get the gold Iron Man. The horn-head mask version from the 20th anniversary set would totally suffice. That would help recreate the group when Rogers first joined the team. I could also have Antman fill that gap of Giant Man, but it wouldn’t be as impressive. I actually think revealing more versions of Pym would entice me more than FA Wasp if I wasn’t already backing. Having a costume display akin to Stark’s armory would be a big motivator to have every version of Hank Pym.

Yeah the tiers will be a nice bonus but I won't think twice if they don't get made. I just want the big guy exactly as he comes at 10k!

I have no use for the tiers either...like the damaged Sentinel head and the Doom Galactus noggin, they'll probably be plopped on once and then left in the box. But I'd like to think there are people that would enjoy them.

There finally seems to be momentum building in the last 24 hours, which is a great sign for the next few days. The total crossed the psychologically-important 2/3rds mark and I fully expect 70% to be hit soon.

Even if it doesn't reach both tiers, I am looking forward to seeing this made, if nothing else to quell the relentless cesspool of negativity I've observed over in FaceBook and Instagram groups this past week. There's a contingent of 'fans' that desperately need this to be considered a major failure.

The tiers don't move the needle at all for me.  I'd be happy with just the Giant Man.  Knowing that FA Wasp is coming however does make me more inclined to pick up a Giant Man.  I would love to see other versions of Hank coming in the line.  Knowing that Yellow Jacket is coming would be most welcome.

Which company does the payment plans? Is that BigBad?

technically any company, if you use Klarna and go through their app. they'd split it into 4 payments. it does have to be used like the last day or 2 though, because if they don't see any activity of hasbro taking the money, they'll cancel the temp card they give you

Thanks. I'll look into it

Question, are the numbers moving slowly because collectors want to avoid the two tiers?

I wonder if an Age of Apocalypse Haslab Giant Size figure would've been successful. Iron Studios did a fantastic job on their resin 1/10 scale figure. I put together a mock photo of what the Giant Man HasLab would look like next to the resin collectible.

Age of Apocalypse figure with 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse for the tiers. That would've been something.

Anyways, this Giant Man kicks ass. The Apocalypse sells for $1000. Giant Man at $200 is a no-brainer. If this reaches upto 75-80% by tomorrow, Im pretty sure this will fund. Im excited about that. No mixed signals...

I just got a ship notification that AoA Rogue, Weapon X and Colossus shipped. Would've liked to see a AoA Jean & Cyclops.

I have no interest in the tiers for this in the slightest, and won’t care at all if they don’t happen. Honestly, they’d just be more nonsense like the Doom head that I’d have to find room to store somewhere.

Quite frankly, I don’t really have much intention of swapping Pym’s face either. I’ll let him keep the neutral look all the time.
