Regarding an extension, Unicron happened when Haslab was still a new concept, and projects were trickling out. Now every brand has one jammed into the back half of the year. It's all but confirmed that a Ghostbusters campaign is starting within days of Giant Man, so a significant extension will probably mess up that and whatever's coming after it.

I have to say, I’ll be so very sad and disappointed if he doesn’t fund. But 3500 backers out of thin air in four days does not seem realistic.

Gaining thousands of backers on the last day or two of a crowdfund is actually very realistic! I'm not suggesting that's guaranteed for this one, but it shouldn't be surprising.

I wish I shared the optimism on this one. Maybe I'm trying to set myself up for disappointment so that if it does fund, I'll be relieved/elated. But right now, it just doesn't seem likely based on the current pace. I'd love to be wrong.

I'm sure there are a bunch of folks waiting in the wings who will back this once the goal number is reached (the "I won't back this unless I can see it's guaranteed to get made" crowd, a practice that baffles me). But that doesn't do us much good at the moment.

I finally got off the fence and backed. I STILL have no place to display him, and I really shouldn't be making purchases like this with the Holidaze on the horizon, but I knew I'd regret it if this funds. It is a really fantastic piece, and I missed out on both the Sentinel and Galactus (was out of work during both). Now, we just wait and see what happens.

Just backed three. I’ll make sure to let you all know when I get shipping confirmation as per the Fwoosh bylaws.

It’s SOP.

I would only back this if it's reaches all the stretch goals. I don't believe that is possible at this point, so I'm out...

Self fulfilling prophecy, you should back it and cancel if it doesnt meet your standard, but at least help it get there

Exactly. It'll only reach those goals if people back it.

Regarding Unicron being extended vs the Rancor not.  Transformers being an in-house brand, Hasbro can probably more easily rewrite the rules for any of their campaigns.   Lucasfilm may not give them as much leeway for Star Wars product.   Also, Hasbro may have invested way more resources into developing Unicron.   Certainly a massive robot which transforms cost more in development than a large action figure.   So they wanted to give a more complicated project a bit more time to succeed.

The Marvel team at Hasbro worked hard on this Giant-Man Haslab, it would be a shame if it didn't get funded.

has there been a haslab that's not met all of it's stretch goals once funded? Typically speaking, once something gets funded, fomo kicks in and the numbers go up considerably. that's how galactus got his tiers unlocked for example.
