I'll probably get this Wasp, but I'm not a huge fan of this particular look (sorry to blaspheme!), so it doesn't do much for me. It won't push me off the fence to back GM.
Hey don't worry, original looks aren't for everyone. Did you know they put a skirt on Iron Man at first?
That Wasp looks great but I don’t think it’ll be a strong enough catalyst for more backers. Whether they waited til now, or showed it much sooner. I think people have made up their minds.
Agreed. The amount of people who didn't back this due to a lack of Wasp have already made up their minds at this point. Not that there were many of those folks to begin with anyway.
With all the founding Avengers love going on, a gold, beskirted Iron Man has quickly become a huge want for me. The Mk 1 figure is excellent and I'm looking forward to the gold repaint - but it's skirt or nothing for me!
I think that the Target Antman will fill the void this Giant Man leaves if he doesn’t get funded for those looking for a complete group of founding Avengers.
I have to say, I’ll be so very sad and disappointed if he doesn’t fund. But 3500 backers out of thin air in four days does not seem realistic.

These two covers MUST be recreated.
The beginning of 60 years of fun.

For sure. It'll be a shame, because I've always preferred Pym as Giant-Man, but that recent Ant-Man is a really nice figure. Though I admit I need to follow Robo's lead and do the shoulder swap from the Bucky-body Giant-Man.

True story.
I still want one of those. And a Melter to go along with him.
But a non-melty Iron Man.

Oh, I'm familiar. But I tend to go for the 70s-90s looks for most characters. I actually like the more modern costume they gave that old Wasp figure from the MCU Ultron BAF wave. I remember a spicy little yellow and black number from some WCA issues that was always my favorite costume for Jan. Call me crazy, but I always preferred the Wasp's colors to be yellow and black.
I would like to think that if it is over 9,000 by the time it closes that they extend the deadline. It seems crazy to me to decide to pass on $1.8 million in sales because you had a deadline to get to $2.0 million - a deadline that you could extend a bit, especially with the 1027 event coming up as a potential extra push.
I also would like to see a pic of Hank kneeling and hunched over, like he is part of a team huddle with Cap and IM around him, as that is how I would possibly display him at this size.
The Rancor, despite all its problems, had a big push on the last day and closed at 8533 with a goal of 9,000. And there was no extension. I wouldn’t expect one here either. If we are going to do it, it has to be by Monday
Haven't all the Haslabs gotten big numbers in the last day? The successful ones anyways. I don't think Galactus even funded till the last week and then people went nuts buying him.
I wonder if part of what seems to be lukewarm interest in the HasLab has anything to do with which of Hank's costumed identities collectors think of as his "primary" identity.
I know personally, he will always be Ant-Man first, Giant-Man second, Yellow Jacket third, Goliath fourth.
Maybe others feel the same way? If they do, maybe they feel that they can have a definitive Avengers display without the need for a definitive Giant-Man

Hank having multiple identities is a problem for Hank in terms of branding.
MCU has handled it pretty well with just having Scott shrink and grow in the same costume. There's really no reason for these two be two different identities and costumes other than just the history in the comics.
I’m sure there are plenty of valid reasons people don’t want this figure. Size, costume preference, it doesn’t really matter, any reason is valid. I’m just disappointed that not enough people DO want it. I don’t think the 10k goal was lofty, but I’m genuinely surprised that this far along, it’s not even close to reaching that goal. I don’t think that means those who don’t want this aren’t die hard collectors. Nor does it say anything for the quality of the offering. But there seems to be clear fatigue in what and how people are buying, and reasons for not backing are not completely uncalled for. From my PoV, it’s just really disappointing. I also don’t think Hasbro will be in a hurry to try this character again at a smaller scale. I think we will be waiting quite a while before another large scale Pym is ever attempted no matter what costume.
Why are people even concerned? This will back. If not, it's just a toy and there's always Toybiz.
