Also, feels like the Skrull head should have been the first tier, since it's an "army builder". And keep the zombie head as the last one - but it's only half the plastic as the Skrull head, hence this order.
If only they knew a way to get fans talking... some related characters they could spike into the conversation by revealing... no, way too cynical of me to think like that. 🙄
So it seems replying to sarcasm with sarcasm counts as "bullying" these days, @dathing. Nice.
Β
I was merely joking, myself. If you're enough of a bully to get someone to spend money on something they don't want...then I need to start a business so you can drive people my way.
Β
And I of course by no means expect anyone who actually doesn't want this figure, for whatever reason that may be, to back it. To each our own and all that. I was just trying to offer what I had hoped was an observation.
Β
Here's what is truly boggling my mind at the moment, I watched Boog's interview with Dwight, Ryan and Dan last night, they go so far as mentioning that there COULD be figures that tie into this Haslab coming because it won't be shipped until next year. Soooo...wouldn't it be a good MARKETING STRATEGY to at least put that out into public view so people know it and can be better informed on if they wanted to back it or not? Instead of just saying "yeah, there MIGHT be a Wasp or 6" Giant Man coming next year....maybe. We just can't tell you right now. Wait 6 months after you buy this $200 figure and THEN we'll give you what you've been waiting for....possibly. "
Honestly I just consider this Giant-Man as an equalizer to the other Marvel Haslabs. We've got Galactus as the centerpiece to the Fantastic Four/Cosmic Marvel. The Sentinel(s) are your X-Men centerpiece. And now the Avengers have their own giant to center their figures around - and he still doesn't come close to overshadowing Big G or the Sentinels! If they hadn't made him it would have been a real show of disrespect to Earth's Mightiest.
Remind me (because I honestly can't remember): When Galactus was funding, had they mentioned that Firelord was coming around his release time? Or was that something we found out later?

I don't believe they announced it -Β I think we all just assumed.Β Β
Β
I seem to recall them saying other heralds were on the way
This is very useful to keep track of the progress
Brink's estimates for this assume an average of Sentinel and Galactus gains.
I don't think that's valid because there are spikes associated with after getting funded and before hitting a tier.
I do expect a spike on the last day or two above what we've been getting but I think that probably gets us to a bit under 9,000.
If it got us to 9,800 or so, I think maybe we'd get a final spike to cross 10k.
If we get to around 9,000, I think it fails.
You can see Brinks' estimates aren't being hit already and I think it's probably not valid to assume that the curve will hold without a realistic shot at tiers or getting very close to the base goal first. Particularly not a Galactus curve. Even just sticking to the Sentinel curve has us missing it.
My $.02?
It's going to be a nailbiter.
I want it to fund. I'm a backer. I think it's going to come up short.
IF they moved the tiers down to 11k, that would probably get it to fund and cross 11k. I don't know that they could do that.

Brink's predictive model is based on the daily/weekly averages of all the previously funded campaigns, not just the Sentinel and Galactus campaigns. Β He also didn't update the trajectory mapping correctly yet since he only accounted for 119 units yesterday instead of 142 (6177 to 6319). Β
Median averages for the funded TVC, Legends, and Classified campaigns are as follows:
First Week Average = 41.65% (of final unit count)
W2 - 4.8%
W3 - 2.5%
W4 - 2.7% = 4.5% average W2 through W6
W5 - 2.85%
W6 - 9.7%
Last Week Average = 37.52% (of final unit count)
Β
Based on the minimum 10K units to fund, Giant-Man is currently here on the last day of Week 6:
W1 - 4587Β = (45.9% of 10K)
W2 - 333 = (3.3%)
W3 - 485 = (4.85%)
W4 - 148 = (1.5%) = 3.6% average W2 through W6
W5 - 171 = (1.7%)
W6 - 671 = (6.7%)
W7 -Β ?
So it's performing more or less as he predicted, +/- about 2%
Β
CARNAC THE MAGNIFICENT PREDICTS ...
It will fund.
But just barely.
Okay, we can all breathe easier now.Β As you were.
But wait, what was in the envelope?? Hopefully "How will the HasLab Giant Man do?".
Man, that brings back memories and makes me feel old. Ah well, time to embrace my mid-life crisis. But instead of sports cars, I'll buy toddler sized action figures. Not sure which is worse for my poor wife and kids...

1st appearance Wasp figure just announced on Insta!
That Wasp looks great but I donβt think itβll be a strong enough catalyst for more backers. Whether they waited til now, or showed it much sooner. I think people have made up their minds.
I agree with you guys, the Wasp is nice and I'll buy it but doesn't impact my decision to back GM. Hard to imagine a single figure swaying me, other than Black Widow of course (I kid, I kid).Β
