Anyone remember Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes by Joe Casey and Scott Kolins circa 2005-ish? I've been revisiting the original Lee/Kirby/Roy Thomas/Don Heck Avengers run since this campaign was launched - currently on issue 42 - but was reminded of this and just picked up the hardcover. It's a great retelling of the launch of the Avengers in a contemporary storytelling form, exploring some of the cultural response to a group of superfolks forming. It's a fun companion to reading those early adventures with all of their dated storytelling conventions and tropes, and I'd put it up there with the animated Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes TV show as far as best Avengers adaptations. I've been on an Avengers kick lately and was excited to be reminded of this!
And of course I have to share the Giant-Man cover!
That was a great series. Loved the "between the issues/panels" approach they took to things. The second one was fun as well, but not as much as this first run.
This is very useful to keep track of the progress
When I said I had eyeballed it that's what I eyeballed. Looks to me like it should have been increasing more in recent days for it to fund if it followed the same rate of increase that Sentinel and Galactus did.
Brink’s chart says it increased by 119 units yesterday but it actually went up over 150 units (plus another 55 today already), so his trajectory chart is now a little misleading. As for a typical Week 6 campaign increase, it’s well within the historic average if using the base goal of 10K units as a barometer. If it follows the 37.5% final week average it’ll clear its base goal and land pretty much where Brink’s has predicted.

That's a great way to describe it, and it's a really fun way to revisit the Avengers' origins - not a retelling in a modern setting a la the Ultimates, but just filling in the gaps of the original stories. The opening page is Tony Stark reviewing the charter documents after having his legal department review them, the news chatter around the event, normal people's reactions, etc. I'm also a total Scott Kolins mark and love seeing him illustrate these classic looks!
It's going to be such a shame if this doesn't cross the finish line. It's exactly the costume I want for a classic Hank Pym Giant-Man to join my display. 🙁 And for the folks who say they've not backed it because it's not the size they want, they're in for a surprise when Hasbro doesn't make the character again because they'll take this failure as a message that the character himself isn't desired.
I'm okay with that. I have the WCA Boxset Pym on my Classic Avengers shelf already, and HeroClix Ant-Man to represent Scott Lang. I do hope this funds though for everyone who wants it. It looks great.

Good point. Let me just throw $200 at this real quick even though I don't have any space to display it and it's too big for the display I want just to make sure eventually they will make the figure at the size I can accommodate. I was being so short-sighted and selfish...
When does everyone think they're gonna add the international sales... or did they already?

We established early in the thread that they've almost certainly developed new tech to keep all of the numbers updated across all regions automatically. They didn't have that for Sentinel and Galactus, but at some point between Galactus and now all of the Haslabs have been showing the same numbers on every international site. During Galactus and before that every international site had a different count, but not anymore.

Ah, I missed his projection line on the graph. Assuming he did the math right it looks like he's projecting that it will finish a bit north of 10.5K.
Hope it funds for those who want it but i’m in the camp that thinks that this is way too big and not how i want the character represented. I’m positive they wont take another shot at this costume in a more accurate 12 inch size but at least one exists even if its outdated. Also who knows maybe they’d try a 12 inch goliath or worst case scenario the jumpsuit version exists and a old yellowjacket which they could also update. There is no reason to drop 200 bucks on something that you aren’t thrilled with just because of FOMO.

Excellent. Glad to hear you're on board.
I didn't want the Giant Man figure.. It's massive and will require quite a bit of work to display him and I was content with just having Ant-Man to represent Pym in my collection..
But I'm feeling the pull to this one now, and I think Im gonna back it. It is a nice looking piece, and if it barely cranks through with lower numbers, this will be the only chance to get him at this price. The inner completist in me is telling me to get it too, since I have the other ML Haslabs.
Has there been any photos of him kneeling next to a regular sized ML? That's really the only way I think I can work him into an Avengers display and I would love to see how it looks.

Now you just have to bully another 3600+ people in 4 days into throwing down $200+ on something they really don't want.👍

Brink's estimates for this assume an average of Sentinel and Galactus gains.
I don't think that's valid because there are spikes associated with after getting funded and before hitting a tier.
I do expect a spike on the last day or two above what we've been getting but I think that probably gets us to a bit under 9,000.
If it got us to 9,800 or so, I think maybe we'd get a final spike to cross 10k.
If we get to around 9,000, I think it fails.
You can see Brinks' estimates aren't being hit already and I think it's probably not valid to assume that the curve will hold without a realistic shot at tiers or getting very close to the base goal first. Particularly not a Galactus curve. Even just sticking to the Sentinel curve has us missing it.
My $.02?
It's going to be a nailbiter.
I want it to fund. I'm a backer. I think it's going to come up short.
IF they moved the tiers down to 11k, that would probably get it to fund and cross 11k. I don't know that they could do that.
