Can some of you guys stop playing financial armchair analysts
No.Β It's all there is left to do for the next 7 days.Β Then after that we have a couple of scenarios:
1.Β It doesn't fund, we play the blame game for a few pages, then it dies either on its own or the more likely forced death by thread lock.
2.Β It funds, we all say, "Yay, it funded!", then it dies for a year while we wait for our toy to be made.Β Then we meet back here in a year with shipping notification updates from every.Β Single.Β Member.Β Then, hopefully, some cool pics with GM in our collections.
But yeah, the socioeconomic armchair quarterbacking and mental gymnastics of the whys, hows, and wherefores of how many an individual may order are all we have left for the next week.

The Adventures in Collecting podcast posted an episode with an interview with the Legends team.Β Both Dwight and Ryan said alternately that there's a "very good chance" and a "very, very good chance" that we get a 6" version of the Haslab figure as well as a classic Wasp offered for sale in the near future.Β The team has never announced an upcoming figure as definite until they're ready to show it with a digital render or a prototype so I wasn't surprised that they didn't just announce it, but they kept stressing the term "very" in a way that seemed clear they were trying to confirm that both figures are in the works.
They should just start announcing "pipeline" figures like the Star Wars team does, which means a figure is being designed and prototyped but they have nothing specific to show yet.Β It would support the Haslab project better if they did that instead of just having to stress that both figures are in development in a non-committal way.
I also got that vibe when I talked to Ryan. He specifically mentioned FA Wasp and 6β version of this Giant Man, but left it ambiguous, yet likely. I think theyβd see a pretty big jump in backers if they officially show these figures. We had some talk about how little difference there is between these two figures being offered with the HasLab or separate from the HasLab as individual offerings. It would bump the price of the HasLab up, or for that price you just pay for them on their own, with wide availability.
I'm trying to recall the figure Hasbro announced the earliest away from its release in the last couple years. I'm thinking it was Warrior Gamora who was announced 9-10 months before she saw release? Any other character have such a long lead time in recent memory?
They definitely *SHOULD* be announcing tie-ins.
From my notes, for 2022 the Controller Wave was the longest lead time for a wave at 221 days from PO (2/22/22) to delivery (10/1/22). The Spider-Man: No Way Home 3PK was the longest for an individual release 326 days (7/15/22 to 8/1/23), and we know that one was under special circumstances. For 2023, the Quantumania Wave has been the longest for a wave fro PO to delivery at 164 days (1/31/23 to 7/22/23).
Β
These times will vary depending on where one orders their stuff from. And these are all PO to delivery, not announcement to delivery.
Β
From the comments on a Giant-Man post on Dwight's Instagram. Far from an announcement, but it's still nice to see. Though not timing the announcement to coincide with the campaign is still a bit of a headscratcher to me.
Β
That was my question! I was surprised to get an answer, let alone a theoretically positive one. They must be close to revealing... sure couldn't hurt.

@throwitbackΒ The bonus tiers for sentinel and galactus sell for $100.00 a pop.Β
Really? I just checked Ebay SOLD auctions and found the following:
Bastion $50-$60
Female SentinelΒ $40-$50
Morg $40 averageΒ
Nova $60 averageΒ
Silver Surfer $70Β
Where is this $100 a pop you speak of?
So, sounds to me like a Wasp and 6" Giant Man as a two-pack? Wonder if they were concerned if they announced the 6" version of Pym it might hurt the sales of this.Β
Hope we see the pace quicken a bit more, would be nice not to need 3,000+ the last day. Just hit 6,000.Β

This literally made me laugh out loud,Β so thanks for thatΒ 👍Β

wgen they began shipping Bastion was easily selling for over $100 same with female sentinel prime
Β
really I have a life and Iβm not bothering with your nonsense
Β
youve clearly never ran a successful businessΒ
Β
Those are stretch goals of UNKNOWN characters. Btw
giant man is well known
If the hell charger was put on eBay right now each of those bonus figures would sell for over the asking price.
Β
you guys make collecting as miserable as you are.

Yeah I wonder about that as well.
I mean my initial gut reaction is "why spend $200US for a Haslab when I can get a standard size for a whole lot less?"Β I think there would be some backers (I don't know how many) who would probably back out if they confirmed a 6" version of Giant-Man while this is still funding.Β Now a classic Wasp is a different story.Β That would be at least a positive for this project.
I was watching GDL last night and they were talking about Brian Brink who does those amazing graphs and trackingΒ for the different crowdfunds.Β Apparently he has started making projections about Haslabs (with the Ghost).Β For the Ghost he projected 21357 as the final number and it ended up at 21768.Β So a less than 2% discrepency which is well within a margin of error for polls.Β So I think that is pretty good projection.Β
Right now he has Giant-Man projected to fund at 10,766 backers.Β Which if is off by 2% would mean it would still fund around 10,500 backers.
Now of course there is no guarantee either way, but if it does end up being close to his projection I think that means we have a new metric to go by (the "Brink Effect?").Β Also if he is correct then it means we won't see any of the tiers unlock.
Β
I want this Haslab Giant-Man figure so badly, so I strongly recommend people to back it right away, don't wait until the last moment.
I do think they are holding off on the Wasp announcement.Β Β I think if Giant Man funds then they will reveal her as part of the celebration of the successful HasLab.Β Β If Giant Man doesn't end up meeting the minimum,Β then they hold on to the reveal for a minute and announce it later when there's some distance from the campaign.Β Β
